Still not sure why Guel Jeturk is getting isekai'd to the Paldea region though but I can roll with it I guess.

The closest thing I can think of like that was that a scoop of ice cream in a glass of coke was a treat when I was a kid.

  • Name: Miyu Ryuuzaki
  • Age: 16
  • Gender: Female
  • Race: Human
  • Appearance: "You need my help?"
  • Personality: A pleasant, polite, friendly girl who can't help but help people. Despite coming from a very traditionalist family, since she has been allowed to pursue a relatively normal life Miyu is pretty much a relatively normal teenage girl, albeit one that's easily flustered and thus gets teased by her friends a lot. Her main weakness is she can't say "no" to someone in need, and tries her best to help those who need it. Aside from that, her main hobbies are typical girl things: hanging out with her friends, reading the latest volumes of her favourite light novels, trying to perfect her favourite ramen recipes and tending to her garden.
  • Abilities: Miyu possesses a strong constitution. Almost too strong even, almost supernaturally strong, for Miyu has notably never taken ill or suffered from disease or sickness during her entire life, and any wounds she recieves heal extremely quickly. She possesses an affinity for Light (despite her family not being known to produce mages), although her only real usage for this is sheathing her sword in holy cleansing light to increase its power against supernatural opponents. Recently she's been taught some basic onmyoji and exorcism techniques by her friend Akiko, who works as a miko at the local shrine, but it's only the most basic of basics.
  • Skills: Miyu has been trained in the Ryuuzaki clan's signature style of swordplay, and whilst she is not as accomplished as other members of her family (especially compared to the prodigy that is her eldest niece) she is more than capable of holding her own in a fight against reasonably skilled opponents and often has her school's kendo club begging her to join. Her demon hunting training also means that her athleticism is almost superhuman, especially her finely honed agility and reflexes, and she possesses somewhat greater physical strength than her slight appearance would indicate. Miyu is also pretty good at cooking, especially ramen, and possesses an almost instinctive aptitude for gardening and horticulture.
  • Equipment: Miyu's main weapon is a katana, one of many masterwork swords that are heirlooms of the Ryuuzaki clan; whilst non-magical, it is a superbly crafted blade. Aside from that, the item she most commonly has in her possession is her smartphone.
  • Brief Backstory: A member of the Ryuuzaki clan of demon hunters, and the youngest child of the current family head, Ichirou Ryuuzaki. In fact she is so comparatively young compared to her siblings that she has a niece and nephew that are older than her, and another niece who is the same age as her. For some reason, despite being from a traditionalist demon hunting clan, Miyu has been allowed to pursue a relatively normal life and is in most regards your normal high school girl... Albeit one that has some training in the art of demon hunting.

One notable trait that seperates the Ryuuzaki clan from other demon hunting clans is that they tend to eschew any kind of supernatural aid and focus purely on their supreme swordplay. However, when she entered adolescence Miyu began exhibiting abilities that no mundane human should. Whilst she has no idea what these abilities mean or where they came from, it is somewhat notable that her father insisted that she step up her comparatively lax swordplay training after they started to emerge. Most immediately notably was something realized in hindsight: she had never taken ill during her entire life. Not only that, but she healed incredibly quickly, something that became especially notable recently where after an accident she broke her arm, only for it to heal completely after only a day.

  • Name: Signy Ironblood
  • Age: 26
  • Gender: Female
  • Race: Ingvarr
  • Rank: Five of Swords
  • Appearance: "Wolf Father, give me strength."
  • Personality: A proud warrior of the Ironblood clan of Ingvarr, who is supremely confident in her combat prowess and ability to survive the harshest conditions. Usually rather stoic and expressionless, Signy reserves her emotions for two occassions. The first is, naturally, whilst in battle; it is rather jarring for some to see her become a mad berserker, tearing apart enemies like a wild animal and spilling blood in the name of the Wolf Father. The second is after the battle is done, whilst celebrating over copious amounts of mead and ale; she is in fact quite the boisterous reveler once she's drunk, fond of loud chanting and singing as she praises both her faithful allies and fallen enemies. Another way to briefly break her from her usual stoic act is to mention her horns; Signy is rather sensitive about how small and "pathetic" her horns are, and at the very least will pout and become rather despondent if they are pointed out. And whilst she'll try not to show it too much, Signy has a weakness for cute things that is rather unbecoming of a proud warrior like herself.
  • Brief Backstory: Living up to a heroic legacy isn't easy, especially when you're part of a culture that prides itself in its martial prowess and aptitude for survival in the harshest conditions and against the most vicious of foes. Signy's grandfather, Ragnar Orcdoom, is a legend amongst the Ingvarr for not only protecting his lands from orcish raids but for causing all but the most brave and foolhardy to steer clear of the Ingvarr lands altogether, becoming something of a bogeyman amongst the green horde. As Signy herself puts it, "There aren't many orcs in my homeland. My grandfather's name was not an exaggeration." And despite his vaunted, legendary status and despite her pathetic, stunted horns, Ragnar always treated Signy kindly, as though she was his most beloved grandchild. Signy in turn idolized her grandfather, and when he passed his axe onto her on his deathbed she was filled with determination to prove herself worthy of both his legacy and the honour of wielding his weapon. Still, no matter how much she trained and how many vicious beasts and deadly enemies she slayed, she could never shake off her feelings of inadequacy, that compared to Ragnar she was nothing more than a pathetic weakling with stunted horns. She still needed to prove herself, and with that in mind once she turned twenty years of age she bid her people farewell to pursue a career as a mercenary down south, hoping to return with tales of legendary exploits fitting for a descendant of Ragnar Orcdoom.
  • Equipment: Signy wields the mighty battleaxe Slayer, an ancestral relic once wielded by her grandfather Ragnar Orcdoom. Despite not being inherently magical, the amount of orc blood it has shed causes a sense of almost supernatural fear in any orcs who gaze upon it. In addition, she also carries a non-descript but functional dagger, and wears a suit of mail armour with a breastplate for additional protection.
  • Skills: Subtlety isn't exactly part of Signy's fighting style; rather, her ability to viciously kill just about anything with her axe is both remarkably unsubtle and self-evident. In battle she is like a whirlwind of death, hacking apart any foe who dares come near her. Even worse for her enemies, if pushed into a corner Signy has trained herself to be able to enter a berserk state, where she seemingly feels no pain and fights with the strength that surpasses what she is usually capable of. However, she is only willing to utilize this state if there is no other option, as after she calms down any injuries she sustained will catch up to her; not only this but her seemingly enhanced strength is merely her shutting down the mental blocks that normally prevent people from overexerting themselves and thus no matter what she will be drained and exhausted at the very least afterwards. Due to the harsh territory she hails from, Signy is naturally well trained in the arts of survivalism, hunting and tracking.
Okay so like... This took a while since I was working on something with Vita (I've collaborated on setting details with her a lot before but this kind of snowballed a bit more than usual) but um... So here we go!

Uh so... The thing we were working on was basically trying to flesh out Barukstaed (which has never really had much detail put into it before aside from "not-Scandinavia) and this kind of... Ended up basically making a race of horned not-vikings I guess. I've talked over this with Vita a lot and this all had her approval so hopefully this looks okay.

Knew Barukstaed was the Scandinavia @Krayzikk

There's not-vikings there too! Which is hopefully what my character will be once I get some more stuff sorted out with Vita but we'll see how that turns out.
Oh right I've been working on something with Vita but we'll see how things turn out I guess.
Arisia

Arisia took a moment to gather her thoughts, and more importantly to make sure that everything she was seeing was what was actually happening. Of course, she'd agreed to be brought here and expected things to be... Different than they were back home, but the bizarre assemblege of people did cause her to stop and reassure herself that she wasn't under any kind of mental interference, or suffering from hallucinations.

...At the very least, the giant snake had disappeared, transforming into a girl who looked a bit younger than her. Not exactly the weirdest thing she'd ever seen, but it was up there at least. She did seem rather, uh... There was no polite way to put it, the former-snake seemed rather perverse, her words and actions immediately making it clear she was having some rather illicit thoughts regarding poor Lila.

Well, everything else aside, she couldn't just stand by whilst the poor lizard-y girl's virtue was in danger like this. Arisia twitched her head to the side, causing some vines Lila had fallen onto to lift her back up to her feet, and as soon as the poor girl was up again she stepped towards her and calmly placed a hand on her shoulder.

"My apologies."

Once more, her voice seemed rather expressionless, even as she stood very close to Lila, her belly almost pressed up against her back. Whilst she just wanted to keep her safe, others might think it looked rather more... Intimate than she intended, to say the least. As she stepped forward, however, she'd noticed one of the others had tried to speak to her; a pretty young girl in a rather lavish kimono.

"Oh... Yes. Thankfully, I was able to slow my fall." She nodded at the kimono-clad girl, before turning her attention back to Lila.

"Could you please explain what exactly is going on?"

Sure, she'd gotten an idea from the invitation, but... Something a little more in-depth would be appreciated.

Arisia

...She was falling.

It took only a moment for her to notice the wind brushing against her skin, her clothes flapping in the air, and the feeling of slight mortal peril brought on by her sudden descent. This wasn't exactly how she'd expected to be introduced to this new world, to be perfectly honest.

"...Hmph..."

It was only for a moment, of course. With a slight twitch of her head, Arisia's descent began to slow until it was like she was sinking through molasses. The others quickly left her behind as they made their own descents, although soon enough her feet touched the ground behind... What looked like a girl, although she'd never once seen a girl with horns and a lizard-like tail before. Was she one of the others that had been falling with her? Hesitating for a second, Arisia reached forward and gently tapped the lizard-girl on the shoulder.

"Hello."

Her voice was deadpan, and didn't betray any emotion.

"Were you invited here as well?"
