What first impression do you make?
"Mostly it's 'oh my gods, a giant cat!' Tabaxi aren't exactly a common race. I do intend to smack the next bitch who tries offerring me milk though... if you meant personality wise I guess a bit stand-offish. I don't like to open up too quickly, especially after... that."
What are you like in a high stress situation?
"Find the cause of stress, eliminate the cause of stress. Simple. If it's something that can't be eliminated? Booze."
What are your best and worst qualities?
"My best quality is my adaptability. If I can put my mind to it I can become at least passably proficient in whatever I put my mind to. Admittedly this is hampered by my impulsive nature."
What is something about yourself that you would never admit to anyone?
"Sometimes I wish I was a dwarf like my adoptive parents."
What are your dreams?
"To make a complete history of the world."
How do you want to be seen by others?
"A calm collected adult who is in control of himself and the world."
How do you see yourself?
"A failure who turned to piracy to avoid the judgement of his crimes."
Do you tend to make snap judgements, or stop and think about things?
"I tend to think on my feet most of the time. Plans are just too fragile."
What haunts you?
"...the Ayarith Expedition."
What is your philosophy on life?
"Live not for the future or the past, but for the now."

The tabaxi known as Droigheann was found by dwarves in the aftermath of a rockslide as a babe. He was the only survivor of a group of his fellow tabaxi, saved by a thornbush for which he was named after.
Adopted by a dwarven archivist named Svart, the boy grew up surrounded by the history of the bearded folk. His appreciation of history and his dream to one day create a conplete history of the world started here, and was only nurtured as he grew. At sixteen, he began an apprenticeship as a Seeker, a type of archivist who goes out and recovers artifacts. It lasted four years, full of satisfying but gruelling work, but finally he graduated to full Seeker. Upon completing it, he was branded with the Rune of Moradin, granting minor abilities of the Clerics.
He was a rising star of The Seekers, until the disastor that was the Ayarith expedition. It was five years ago, the Archive had gained a lead on ancient dwarven ruins in Ayarith, and sent a number of the Seekers to excavate the artefacts. Unfortunately the mission was a shitshow from the start. A band of elven brigands had used the false rumours to lure adventurers into their trap. Caught off guard, the Seekers were massacred. Droigheann was the only one to escape, but he was broken by the experience.
For a time, he wandered around as a drunk, lost in memories of the past. It took an attack by a Wyvern on a town he was staying in to break him out of it. Pushing his rusty skills to their limits, he managed to slay the beast alongside the town militia. In the wake of the beasts death, he took a new name, Jack Thorne.
Still to ashamed of his failure to return home, he instead chased his dream of a complete history of the world by sailing the seas as a pirate.
