Hello, there really isn't much to see here. :^D

In case you were wondering, yes, I drew my profile image. Do you like it? I think it has a depressing sort of beauty.

Disclaimer: I can sometimes be a little too honest, and my standards might be too high. People don't like that. But let it stand on record that I also view myself with the same light. I would not criticize others if I am not willing to take criticism myself. Be mature. Don't hold stupid grudges. If you've come here to scope me out, to find some shameful detail or quench some personal spite because my honesty upset you in some way, -- I'm sorry but there is nothing here for your desperate attempt at self-validation. I will settle the pettiness with an apology. Sorry. Happy?

I can't do anything more than that.

@zombehs You might not be the only one~ Seems like everyone wants to mess with the eldritch Truth today. :^D
How do we know she isn't already evil...? :^D
@Aristo Only you and Zombehs chose that route. So feel free to claim dibs on something.

@ERode Could be meaningful, could not. It's pretty random, as this is where all nightmares go. But I'm allowing you peeps to choose what you want them to see. Be creative. Or you can skip all that entirely, and just have your character wake up feeling as though they just experienced some horrible 'DREAM'.
So you're gonna choose to look too? Remember, you're protected, so nothing BAD will happen to your character. In terms of physical harm. Just horrible things you wish you never saw, and the like, which you can determine how it affects them/their mind.

This special thing is only because she has a special eye.
Since you have a special eye... I'mma say something interesting happens, if you so choose to stare into the abyss. :^D
What I meant to say is that, you can include all the weird details of what you experienced in there as you passed through, or you listened to Nera and kept your eyes shut, left to feel just a bit of the details. What you see or feel is left up to the players. Even if you hadn't heard her instruction, it's natural for someone to close their eyes in fear, so this option is free for everyone.

In a sense you can 'skip' it, or you can write it out for the narrative. Whatever you want.
Ouch. Pyre joke...

Well, I posted a short reply, both to help lead your next posts and to explain. This will be one of the last times we see Nera for a while. Goodbye, weird pervert Goddess! After this, my posting position will change a bit. Since this is a big party, and exploration is a thing, I won't lead you guys like I did with Nera. You are free to do whatever. I will just provide information and describe what happens as you do things, trigger events. You know, typical GM stuff.

No babying around here either, if you do something crazy, it's gonna have consequences.

As a helpful bit, for those who want to write the whole way through, til the end. After all the nightmare layer shenanigans, or lack there-of, you will AWAKEN once again and find yourself in a massive chamber not so different than this one, next to a very similar stairway that this time, only leads up instead of down. This entire environment is covered in rust and grime, and all manner of nasty things, even more time-worn than it had been in the 'DREAM'. Things will be very dim, but strangely enough, not as dark as you would expect for a place abandoned. Creepy pale white lights come from a few of the many diverging hallways, providing the low vision. If you try to hear for things, you won't find much of anything. The whole place is dead silent.

I think... that's about it. Have fun killing yourselves. :^D

Nera, seeing the red-head barrel forward, quietly side-stepped the body as they flew right past her. A visceral scream then erupted behind her as the Isabella's body was swallowed by the abyss at the bottom of the giant white steps. It might not have been her own, as it sounded like a combination of many different voices, though all in manner of pain and anguish.

That whole time, her bright smile did not change at all.
"My, my, eager as always, that one~" she says, turning at the others, "So, who is next?"

The Goddess glanced back, a little more serious now. "I don't think she'll be in any real danger, being as she is protected by my magic. However, it certainly won't be pleasant for the poor thing. Though I love all of you dearly, I have to let you experience the sting of your mistakes once in a while~" she says, with an out-of-place giggle, "I was going to explain, now, to one less of you-" Another loud screech cuts the Goddess off as it was Orpheus who suddenly plummets into the abyss.

"Er, make that two less of you... In any case, the layer between your known reality and this one is... to put it lightly, made up of nightmares. Quite nasty little things. All the nightmares that have ever existed dwell on this middling layer, lured since the beginning of time. I can't get rid of them, you see. But I have properly contained them. And I have made some use of the twisted, rotten things too, as they serve to protect this realm from any unwanted trespassers. If not for the charm, your stigma, you would be tortured by horrible a thing for millennia until your body is consumed by the utter darkness below. Still, though safe as you may be, it will feel... unsettling. I deeply suggest keeping your eyes closed for the duration of the fall."

Her eyes then narrow, "And don't accept any 'candy' anything offers you..."

TLDR; GM went on a rant again. Ignore if you don't want an in-depth explanation of how the stats work and how the overall narrative is built around this system. In the end, the power of friendship will win, not the stats. Though the stats will help.
Ah, you bring up a good point. But I have thought of this.

To better explain the balance, I will go into how magic in this RP works for a bit. Let's go back to guns. Magic itself is very much like a bullet. It cannot be used without a cost, nor can it be fired without risk when not used in a proper weapon. In this world, the more powerful a magic is, the more immense strain it inflicts on the user, hence why END is important for spell-casters. Without high END, a high SPI user could wind up a super powerful spell, cataclysmic even, but it would have a very long casting-length, because while they have great control, anymore stress to speed it up would literally disintegrate their body. So even a character with super high SPI is left to fire a few so-so ones before their body, which can viewed as a 'medium', tires out.

I mean they could just overload their body and blow themselves and their opponent up. But who really wins at that point...

Now items might change this here, and there... but now we're just going into the realm of speculation. XD
