Inside the ship, Megumi could not have felt more miserable. Megumi thought she had been used to the effects of motion sickness when playing VR games, but the moving ship proved otherwise. She could swear her stomach had gained a life of its own and wanted to crawl out of her mouth. It was a shame, too, as she had packed some snacks she wanted to eat on the journey. In a desperate attempt to escape her seasickness, she issued a command to her robot companion Gem, "Gem, enter- ugh, enter 'Gematria' mode." Gem then began to transform, quickly taking on the humanoid form that made up Megumi's hero persona, Gematria. Grabbing its left hand, Megumi's body then turned into a mass of electric sparks as it entered the the Gematria android. On its face plate, two blue eyes lit up and blinked, signifying that Megumi had taken over and become Gematria.

Patting her stomach area, Gematria felt relieved that she could no longer feel her stomach doing flips. She still couldn't eat any snacks, but that was a problem for another time. She made her way up to the ship's deck, and saw that the ship was already nearing their destination. Like Blaze, she too was eager to get off the ship, though for a different reason than her. "Yeah, Blaze! That's not appropriate language to use on a principal," Gematria scolded her. Turning to Barbara Lee, Gematria bowed her head and addressed her, "Apologies for our rudeness, Principal Lee. My name is Gematria, and I will do my utmost to succeed in our mission."

@Thinslayer "Well, no," Afki said hesitantly. "At least, I haven't. This is very strange..." At the same time, Parshath shivered a little upon seeing the Voidspawn, overcome with a sudden desire to strike at it, to wipe it out of existence. Afki, noticing the slight tremble in her hands, asked him, You ok, Parshath? The desire soon faded, and Parshath's mind cleared once more. Oh, um, uh, y-yeah. It's all good, Parshath chuckled. You know how it is with Voidspawn... Afki frowned, but decided not to pursue it. It's that again, huh? Well, as long as you're okay... She said, remembering the last time they encountered a Voidspawn. It was dispatched easily, of course, but Parshath's reaction had been the same as before. It's just an instinct, I guess. And hey, it could be helpful if we come across more of those things. I'm telling ya, Voidspawns are more dangerous than what most people think of them. I'm not wrong on that... probably, Parshath said.

EMOTIONLESS: At first impression, Megumi doesn't seem to possess any emotions. Her tone of speech is monotone, and tends to move in a somewhat sluggish manner. The truth is that she just has a difficult time showing her true feelings. Get to know her a little, though, and it'd be easy enough to know what she's thinking, assuming she doesn't just tell you outright.

BLUNT: Megumi isn't afraid to speak her mind and will be direct in her methods and intentions. However, she tends to be quite curt and literal-minded in doing so, which tends to result in some initial misunderstandings until she is asked to explain what she truly means in her messages.

OBSESSED WITH KNOWLEDGE: Megumi has an avid interest in learning more about the unknown, particularly about science, magic, and everything in between. She is unhesitant about trying new things in her experiments with the two, but will at least maintain a level of caution to try to prevent any catastrophic events.

Megumi was born in Castleburg, as the daughter of a CEO of a large video game company. Her mother died in childbirth, and Megumi was often left with a nanny to take care of her. As a result, she was often left with plenty of games and other material desires to keep herself occupied, but no one to actually spend that time with. She poured herself into these games, and soon discovered her powers when she got absorbed into the controller she was holding, finding herself inside the game itself. She found a whole new world to explore, and didn't come out until the nanny turned off the console, which forcefully ejected herself from the game and back into the real world.

It was then that Megumi found a new interest: coding. By being inside games, she could see how the game functioned, and alter it in ways it was never intended to function. She learned plenty within them, and her knowledge of her own ability continued to grow as well. Her father merely continued to send her the latest tech and games, thinking it would make her happy. Her attention turned to the various magic systems that often existed within fantasy games, and while she had fun experimenting with them in said games, she then began to wonder if it was possible to bring them to real life. Try as she might, though, she just couldn't do it.

One day, while attending an real life gaming event, it fell under attack by a rampaging Leftover. She hid behind a table, but it was tossed aside and was about to be attacked, only for it to be bound up and quickly dispatched by arriving heroes. Her attention focused onto one hero in particular, Stray, who had used some interesting symbols to perform the job. In the crisis, she had found the solution to a problem she had been dying to solve: performing magic, or at least something similar to it. Unfortunately, she was quickly taken someplace safe by other heroes. Due to Stray being a D rank hero, it seems that there was little interest on him, making him difficult to track down. She was frustrated, but it would not stop her. She made it her new goal to become a Hero. In her mind, she thought the best way to learn more about Stray was to go out and be a Hero herself. And if she was able to help people along the way, that was even better.

Firewalls and encryptions pose little obstacle to her, but power limiters can hinder her movement. She can also forcibly short-circuit the machine, though this causes her to immediately be ejected (or forced into another area of said machine, if applicable) afterwards as that part would no longer be functional.

Within it lies several yards of cable, suitable for grappling, trap-setting, constraining, etc. The cables are also interwoven with nanomachines to allow it to maneuver around more freely than simply being shot towards a target. Of course, Gem can also transform into the bipedal humanoid body that uses Megumi's hero identity name: Gematria. The face plate is actually a screen, allowing for a wide variety of facial expressions and emoticons to be displayed.

Ugh, not this joke again, Afki thought, rolling her eyes at Parshath. You already used this joke when the party first formed. You could at least come up with something new.

Gee, when did you become such a critic? You got no sense of humor anymore, Parshath sulked.

Maybe if this wasn't the 10th time you've tried to use it, I'd actually want to hear it again.

Their argument continued on until the party finally settled on the groups, and Afki set off with Hallim and Budam in tow. The tunnels remained as lifeless as the rest of the city, but that didn't make the situation any better. Honestly, the more we stay here, the more I'm sure we should get out while we still can, Parshath remarked. Me too, but we should at least make an effort to find Cho. Who knows what's happened to him? Afki responded.

I'd rather not stick around to find out, Parshath answered. Turning to Hallim, Afki responded, "Not too long now. With any luck, we'll find Cho and be out of here before you know it." She flashed a smile at the two before turning her attention back to searching for their missing party member. She really hoped her sense of danger was wrong.

@Thinslayer Afki took a quick wide scan of the current party, her mind deep in thought, and quickly made a conclusion, "Let's form 3 groups of three. We'll each search a different area of the city for Cho and come back within, say, an hour and a half." Parshath silently agreed with Afki's proposal. If his train of thought was correct, the group of three rule was perfect for ensuring maximum search coverage while maintaining a sense of safety in numbers. Theoretically, at least one member would be able to rejoin the main party even in the worst case scenario. "We should keep an eye out for each other, as well as for Cho. And if we don't find him with the time limit, we can discuss what to do after we regroup. How's that sound?"

There were signs of life everywhere, but not a single living creature was actually found. Afki found it really unsettling, and had her guard up constantly. Her eyes darted around, watching the shadows for anything suspicious. Despite, or perhaps because of, her vigilance, nothing seemed to have appeared, even on their path the queen's lair. She did enjoy the new gauntlets, though, and put them on after a brief inspection to make sure there was nothing inside. Afki was about to relax as they headed back to the city entrance when Parshath asked her, Afki, how many people were in our party?

What? We... uh... Afki responded hesitantly, having realized that she never bothered to count the number of people in her party. T-ten-

Twelve. You, the pally, and the other 10 mooks, Parshath answered. We had that many people in our party. Now we have eleven. Get what I'm sayin'?

Realized dawned on Afki's face as the puzzle pieces in her mind clicked together. She had thought something was a little off during the last loot sharing, but she had been too distracted by the concern for her own safety to notice. "We're missing someone," Afki said out loud.
