BIOGRAPHY: John Loren lived a somewhat workaday life prior to the “end of the world” when the dead rose to devour the living. John was a construction foreman who lived in an RV, not owning a house or apartment as the constant work-related traveling made owning a home an unnecessary expense. When the outbreak came, he was near Fort Wayne amidst a contract.
Unable to escape the area, John was forced to seek refuge, spending days on the move and eventually having to leave behind his RV when it broke down. The hordes of walkers making time for complex repairs impossible. He spent nearly two weeks seeking refuge in different homes in the area, scavenging for food and other supplies, sleeping lightly and setting crude “traps” and defenses around his various refuges.
Eventually he came upon the community of Faith, and while not religious, was glad to finally have a safe place to rest. His skills and determination made him a welcome new member among Faith’s population.
SKILLS: John has a number of useful skills. Prior to the outbreak, he was a construction foreman and also held a welding certificate. And while no electrician, jury-rigging a generator or junction box to provide power is a simple matter for him. Since joining Faith, he has proven his worth in a number of ways, from erecting sturdy fortifications to repairing wall and ceiling damage, as well as ensuring power supply.
