Pizza is a main course, but is also a pie. Therefore, I can eat pizza as my meal and have another pizza as my dessert.

When I need a left sock, there is none. When I don't need one, there is a surplus. I think the world is toying with me.

Bio

I am Searat
Half sea, Half rat, All Aqueous Rodent.

My role playing career is something i consider as a hobby of some sort but as to how long i have been role playing, I would say that i have three to four years under my belt. (Though most of the times I was role playing, they were nothing as serious as this and were more of a means to relieve stress with my friends or test out ideas that came to mind with them.)

As for my preferences to genres of role play, I would have no biases nor specific preferences to any genre and would be able to adapt to the genre as best I can when placed into it.

Some of my hobbies consist of: playing games, surfing the web, walking, bowling, darts, and cooking. I sometimes write and draw things but not as much to consider it to be a serious hobby.

The sound of a quill scribbling upon a page of a notebook is the only sound that fills the private cabin Morgan had paid for himself...well sans the sound of the wind blowing outside that is. He was in the process of taking down notes of his experiences as well as sketching a number of sights he saw on this journey as well as the airship itself. Admittedly this was a fine voyage but, to his years of adventuring and writing, this was a rather bland start to the adventure. Both in book and in actuality. With a quiet sigh, Morgan finishes up his notes and decides to wander about the ship in the meantime. After putting out and cleaning his smoking pipe, he then hides away his writing material. Making one final check of his belongings, Morgan put on his backpack and grabbed his walking stick before leaving his cabin.

Life was bustling in the lower deck of the massive ship. Dozens upon dozens of travelers were present and in various states of motion. Some were relaxing and appreciating the placidity of the flight while others were wandering around the ship, curious of the marvel of an airship they were on. Morgan smiled slightly at the sight before continuing his way through the ship. He didn't get too far before a massive blast of wind caused the ship to tip and causing a number of the passengers to stagger. Morgan managed to keep his footing but the suddenness of the gale of wind was extremely strange. "What in the nine hells was that?" He asked with a confusing sense of déjà vu while helping some of the passengers regain their footing.

He did not have to wait for an answer as a blast of frozen air slammed into the side of the ship and caused massive damage to the flying vessel; sending it plummeting down like a bird that had it's wing torn off. It was chaos in the lower deck, screams of both young and old filled the air along with the sound of air rushing by at breakneck speeds. Morgan stuck his walking cane in between a guard rail and the wall held tightly onto it for dear life. For a few short moments, it seemed like that it would hold out, but it was all for naught as the vacuum caused by the differing air pressures was too great and tore off the already damaged wall of the plummeting ship. Bringing Morgan along, guardrail and all, into the chilly waters of the sea bellow. The impact knocked the man out completely.

Morgan came to with a surge of pain filling his entire body as well as an extreme chill causing the soaked author to shiver like a leaf in the wind. With shaky hands he lifts himself up from the unnaturally cold grass and see the aftermath of the accident. Some were still alive, but a vast majority of the passengers were lying lifeless on the beach or quietly floating in the waves behind him. A weight settled in his heart when he noticed that not all of the bodies were from the adults. The one that had saved him was standing in front of him and seemed to be happy that he was still with the living. He The halfling man then explains the situation of the island as well as the situation regarding the ship and the passengers. "Such a tragedy that all this life has been carelessly wasted..." Morgan muttered quietly to himself and offered a quiet but sincere prayer to the gods for the dead. The halfling then told them that if they were ready, they should meet up in his tent on the nearby hill. "Ah, apologies for my rudeness. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Morgan Sterling Whitaker. An author, adventurer, and gentleman seeking inspiration for another story...though it seems that inspiration found me instead." He gives his savior a quick but respectful bow. "I thank you for saving my life and I am in your debt."

Sneaking into the village was easy enough while the people were still waking up and the guards were still tired from the night watch. Coming closer to the village, Ed saw the tribal like clothing the villagers wore and gave him the idea of the native american get up he saw that time he and his family went on a road trip when he was still young...well sans the feather head dressings. Though what really caught the attention of the young ratman was the weapons they wielded. Even from the distance, the keen edges and sharp points were intimidating to look at. It gave him the impression that if he were to encounter one of them in combat, he would be better off quickly hauling his furry butt the hell away from the fight. None the less he kept himself hidden from sight, but gave [Monster Analysis I] another shot as he quickly activated the skill to scan and obtain some general information regarding the regular guards and the one that was not dressed like the others.

As the two progressed further into the village, the animal holding pens were the next thing that caught his attention. Even more so when he saw a few chicken-like critters poking their heads out. Oh how much he wanted to go there and pet the feathery fowl and get some eggs for breakfast while he was at it. Ed had to actively look further beyond the normal enclosures to see that there was one that looked recently ransacked by someone or something further away...but there were more pressing matters at hand and the enclosure in question was out of the way, thus the investigation of the enclosure as well as the petting of the fowls was put on hold until further notice.

After a few short moments of sneaking about, they were finally approaching the small shed. Once there, the ratman peeked in and saw some of the contents of the small A frame shed. The jars and baskets were of key interest and he couldn't help but be curious as to what was contained within. "Hmm...maybe they have some more goodies hidden away here or possibly even some booze if we are lucky." Ed chuckled to himself lightly as he approached each jar and basket and looked in at the contents while more of villagers woke up and prepared for the day ahead. Noticing this he quickly placed back whatever he touched and looks down towards Asteria. "I'm not too keen on stealing...but this is for survival. So tell me what stuff you want me to get before we get out while they are still none the wiser?"

Count me in then.
Just tell me when to place Morgan's CS.
@Lord Orgasmo This open for players from the previous one? If so, Im still interested.

Oscar was left gob struck at the blade dancer's display of dexterity, skill, and agility when she dispatched the goblin that was mere milliseconds away from embedding an eight inch blade into his face as well as the goblin he shot at in such a short span of time. "Whoa..." Though, he was not left in shock for long as he realized that, perhaps, the others were coming to finish the job the two failed to do. In a split second, the ranger nimbly jumps toward a nearby tree and by the time he rolls up from the snow and has his body covered by the tree, he had already prepared an arrow to be loosed to the goblins...that were quickly running away from them. "That was anticlimactic." Oscar says as he takes a more casual stance while putting away the arrow he readied.

He then approaches the goblin that tried to stab him while prone, the creature was still gurgling and drowning in its own blood and spit. Its little hands desperately trying to keep the blood in. The ranger gently shakes his head side to side in pity as he picks up it's discarded dagger and approaching the goblin. In one strike, he drives the dagger straight to it's heart and see the struggling goblin go still in seconds. Pulling out the blood soaked dagger, Oscar then cuts off it's ears. Weather or not it was their mission, soldiers were still paid for killing monsters and bringing back proof.

"Sorry if this wasn't up to your standards of a fight, Muu. I would have loved to hunt them all down but chasing after them in their turf would spell our deaths if its just the two of us." He talks to the blade dancer offhandedly as he approaches the goblin with an arrow sticking out of it's gut. The body twitched slightly but it was already dead when he got close enough. He then uses the dagger to make an incision to where his arrow embedded itself and removed, cleaned, and placed it back into his quiver before also cutting it's ears off. "We should head back and report to Ettamri that we found goblins, managed to kill a few and scared the rest off." He looks to where the elk's body was. He could still see the corpse of the first one he killed but he wasn't too sure if he killed the other."I killed one or two more by the elk. I'm gonna head up there and cut of their ears as well as retrieve my arrows." He says to Muu as he begins to cautiously walk to the corpse, keeping an eye and ear open for traps or beasts looking for a quick meal.

The lack of the sun in the sky made the night air significantly colder than before. If the afternoon air was cool, this was outright cold. The wind only intensified the coldness.

The burrow was small enough to fit Asteria and Mother Rat easily, but for Ed and Mother Rat? It was more than a snug fit than Ed cared to admit...but sleeping in the burrow beat sleeping top side where he could have been freezing his tail off. Maybe even literally. His slumber was, for once in the past four days, uneventful. Well other than waking up snuggled to Mother Rat like a plush toy. Doing his best not to awaken the slumbering Dire Rat, he slid out of the burrow slowly and gently. Making sure not to make any sudden movements that may jostle her awake.

Though once outside, Ed let out an involuntary shiver as a cold breeze caught him off guard and hit him on the back. The feeling caused him to instinctively wrap his arms around himself and rub his hands over his fur in hopes that it would warm his body up. "Jesus, its chillier than expected." He commented to nobody in particular as he walked towards where Asteria was experimenting with the flowers they found earlier that day. To be honest? Ed has experienced coldness worse than this. His hometown, Twinbrook, was cold all year round...he never realized how much his old body was used to the cold until now. The cold rarely was an issue for him after all in his old life.

Finally reaching the dire rat, he gently pats Asteria on the back and tells that it was his turn to keep watch and her turn to get some rest. Giving her one final wave before her furry body disappeared into the burrow, he sits himself down on the grass and tries to relax while still keeping an eye on things. The hours pass and Ed thanked God that there were no incidents during his watch, sans getting spooked by the distant howls of creatures he dared not imagine. He grasped some of the tall grass and began to chew it, using the bitter taste to keep his senses alert and his mind sharp. This borderline torturous act, paid off when he saw a very large shadow that circled just below the clouds and just above the peaks of the mountains to the west. [Beast Sense II] activates as Ed squints his eyes to get a better look of the creature with the dim moonlight. Even using [Monster Analysis I] to see if he can identify what that thing is, even if it was a long shot that his rank 1 skill could do it from this distance. Either way, the sight alone struck both fear and awe into his being. Further reminding him that his second life could be taken away from him just as easily as his first.

As the shadow only circled repeatedly, Ed focused on his gnarled stick. He inspects his weapon for a few moments under the moonlight, before deciding that the weapon could use more versatility. The stick itself was naturally good at bludgeoning things to death. But if he managed to sharpen one end or both ends of the stick to a point, it would give him the option of thrusting instead. Plus, in case of the weapon breaking, he could still use the segments with the pointed ends as thrusting daggers. He searches for a suitable rock with a rough edge and begins to work until the sun peeked out of the horizon.

Ed smiles to himself contently as his prediction was correct and that the patrols were sluggish and the villagers were still asleep at this time of the morning. He lays his weapon down and pats himself down of the wood shavings before he approaches the den and speaks into it. Hoping that his voice alone can wake Asteria up. "Hey, Asteria. Wakey wakey. Its time for us to see if that village has useful things that we can use. C'mon lets hop to it while the villagers are still asleep." Once he wakes Asteria up and gets ready, he goes to a low position and begins to move through the tall grass to approach the village in the distance.

Ed quietly let the System notification ping off in his mind, he actually had time to enjoy and savor the taste of his meal. "As gross as this bug thing looks, its really damn delicious. I mean it really tastes like shrimp with a little lemon with it." Ed admitted while picking out more of the strange blue meat to snarf down his throat. "Kinda feels a little greasy though." He observed where joints broke off easy and where the most meat was contained. A random thought intruded in his mind. What would it taste like if he cooked it proper? Would it be like a grilled shrimp? Or maybe like lobster but already marinated with lemon juice? Must be heavenly. Goddamn he loved the taste. Seafood was in fact, Ed's favorite food when he was still human. In turn the seafood tasting like bug loved him and gave him enough points to bump up [Monster Analysis] to it's first rank.

The ratman then noticed a familiar feeling of fur and saw Mother Rat beside him and inspecting him. More amused than confused with her, as well as hiking she was being affectionate, he breaks off a chitinous plate and offers a chunk of blue meat to the elder dire rat. With a faux Russian accent, he speaks to her. "Eat. Grow big and strong, comrade babushka." While he left Mother Rat to eat her dinner, he tore off another plate and placed some meat on it as well. Moving out of the burrow to give some food to Asteria, he looks off to the village and sees that even though that most of the villagers had dispersed, there were still some that wandered about the area. Likely guards and protectors of the village. "Evening. I brought you some food." He lays the plate beside her and takes a seat on the grass while observing the village in the distance.

"If we are going to investigate that village and see if they have something that we can, uhh, 'procure' for ourselves, we ought to do it in the early hours of the morning when most of the village will be asleep and those patrol people..." He points to where the figures moving about in the village. "Would be too tired to notice anything amiss when we are there." He turns his head to face his Dire Rat companion. "So what you say? If its a yes, go on ahead and rest. I'll go take first watch. If not, I'm open to suggestions."

Has the time come?
The time when Miiba will be integrated into the Main Timeline and, by extension, be able to interact with other Player Characters?
No issue. Its quite entertaining to read.
