Time itself seemed to stop while Hitomi awaited Acion's reply. She'd boldly made the step and was glad she did, but what happened next was probably going to knock the wind out of her lungs either way. Whether it would make or break her was the question. Acion acknowledged her confession and thought about it for a few agonizing seconds, during which the sheep girl inadvertently held her breath. When he told her than he felt the same, she let out a breath she didn't knew she was holding and, tough it was too soon to celebrate, waves of relief washed over her. He wasn't going to to tell her he didn't feel that way about her, like she feared.

But then he looked into her eyes with a serious expression. And uttered the word 'but', and for a split second Hitomi started to feel dizzy. Oh no. Please let this be a condition or a concern. An outright rejection would make her faint right now. She listened intently, with her own anxious worry showing in her eyes, as he carried on talking, which lessened as he elaborated. By the time he was finished, they actually looked little irritated.

"Of course I do! We're at a Hero School! Of course your priority is becoming a Hero! Don't worry me like that! I thought you were going to reject me! Baka!"

By the time she was finished, she was blushing furiously, and pouting adorably. Her irritation gave way to genuine relief, and her expression softened into a smile, as she sighed. She still felt a bit ffy that he essentially told her she'd be put second, but Hitomi had her own dreams, and if she ever had to choose, she wouldn't compromise them for Action's sake either, so she understood.

Upon seeing Jean dressed smart yet casual, next to a romantic table for two, set up in the Komei Academy courtyard, Mako stopped in her tracks, stared at the scene for a few seconds, and chuckled, before carrying on walking up to him. She was also blushing, despite her confident air. However long it had been since Jean dated, it couldn't have been as long as Mako. Her last date was before she went to prison!

"I figured something must have come up, but I won't pry. Still, this is quite an effort you've made, if unorthodox. If the students see us having a candlelit dinner in the middle of the courtyard, they'll start talking. In short, yes. Of course I'll have lunch with you. I trust you've brought food with you."

Mako sat down, before continuing. "I've been waiting for this 'date' ever since we met at the hospital. It's a chance to redeem myself for making the wrong choice all those years ago."

Mina was listening intently to the other group now. She she didn't have Ruby's ears, but sufficed by slowly and stealthily scooting her chair closer to the other group, and sharing glances with Ruby every time something interesting was said. Dulga was currently talking about an all girls training exercise in the mountains. Mina heard her name and Ruby's both mentioned, and to be honest, Mina would like to go. She does need to get stronger, and learning the weaknesses of the other girls in her class could be good for the Tournament. Dulga's last comment was concerning, though. Having to play nice with Beaumont in a confined space for several days might be challenging.

At that point, Mia Haven entered the room and teleported up to the table. After hugging Yukari and greeting the other two, she disappeared again. Mina knew what was going to happen before it did, and braced herself. Sure enough, Mia popped right beside her and pulled the petite girl into a one armed hug, with Ruby in the other arm. However, what Mia whispered to her gor a bright red blush out of Mina and stunned her briefly, but she cleared her throat and brought her blush back under control.

"We have not, but out of interest, what has he been saying?"
I just dumped & dipped so... what’s you guys’ fav & least fav things to fill out in a signup? Obviously depends but just of what you’ve seen so far.

I like everything, mostly. I don't like the filling out the bio so much because it's big but it's important. You shouldn't be allowed to play a character if you can't fill out a bio for them. It shows you don't know them well enough.

My least favourite parts are either the personality (Especially if there's a two paragraph minimum. I hate trying to put my character's personality into words. Especially that many) or finding a real-life face claim.

Heidi had backed away from the group, so that she could position herself to be able to see every word anybody says. So, she lip-read her way through Ayel's speech, while making sure she didn't miss anything from Aya or Jason. Ayel's plan was sound. Well, to her mind, it wasn't so much a plan as some stating of the obvious and a few good ideas. Aya did seem shaken, and already proven her mutation to be ineffective in this situation. Jason could help with the club, but he'd be even more of a help if the rest of them were indeed going to possible hostile territory. They had to decide now. The longer they waited, the more danger Uná would be in.

"I know exactly where it is, and could give directions if I come with you. It's east of here, besides a few deviations. I could give you full directions here but it would be easier and faster if I came with you, and you wouldn't make any mistakes. I agree that Aya stays here." Heidi replied, before looking over to Aya. Jason's back was to her from here, as he turned to her, so she couldn't tell whether or not he said anything, but she could read Aya's lips from here. Heidi had assumed they would have guns, but this was confirmation. That they were waiting for the group was more concerning news. Did they know Uná was a mutant? Were they mutants? Heidi let Jason answer Aya's questions, and looked around, before looking at Ayel, as she'd want to read his reply to her question.

"How will we get there? Do you have a car? Getting there on foot will take too long."

Natalie Ellis

Location: Scrapyard Garage, Industrial District
Time of Day: Night

Natalie woke up, and immediately, before even opening eye eyes, knew several things were wrong. Everything came back to her. The fight, losing her phone, and letting herself get knocked out. Her body was chained to a support beam, upright, and everything was sore and stiff. Natalie's head was pounding, and her face, specifically around one of her eyes, was hot and throbbing. She correctly assumed she had one shiner of a black eye. But nothing was broken. Of course nothing was broken. Not even Bianca's metal punches were strong enough to break her dense bones.

She tried struggling, just to test how much give her chains had, and where she was secured. This got the attention of Monty and Vinnie, who were guarding her. Monty chuckled and sat up straight, looking at her mockingly. "You won't break them," he jeered at her. "Not even your strength could break steel chains that thick." Natalie didn't even dignify that with an answer. Of course she couldn't break them. She'd have been insulted if they'd tried to lock her up in ordinary chains. She noticed Vinnie staring at her semi-naked body and glared back in a challenging manner. She tried to convey in a glance she she knew the reason he hadn't tried anything while she was helpless, was because he was terrified of her. He averted his eyes, so there was probably some truth in that.

After a while of silence, Bianca came in, and this time it was Natalie's turn to look away. After so long of being afraid of herself, somebody had faced her while she'd lost control, and they had won. For the first time since Project Lion, Natalie was scared of another person. She no longer wanted to hide away and pretend to be normal. There could be more people like them. There were stories cropping up over the news, and until now she'd never really equated them to her own life. For the first time, the idea that she'd have to get stronger to stay safe occurred to her.

Luckily she only had to contemplate this for mere minutes before a familiar sound echoed through the garage. It was the sound that had changed her life one day ago. It was Archie! Natalie immediately broke into a grin and looked around for the source of the noise. It was getting closer. Natalie suddenly remembered how little she was wearing, and actually felt a little embarrassed for the first time since she woke up. Bianca had turned metal, Vinnie was heading to the far end of the room to grab a weapon, and Monty had gotten out of there.

The doors into the room flew off the hinges, and the sounds of gunfire were ringing in Natalie's ears as the door was flying straight twards her. No. Wait. It wasn't moving right. Archie must be holding it to use as a shield! Which means his first move was to make a beeline straight for Natalie! That, despite this absurd and dangerous situation, made her heart flutter. Archie, in his reptilian form, had smashed the support beam and was was now standing over her as she fell to the floor, free. Her first order of business was to get the cuffs off her aching wrists, which was easy now she could reach them with the other hand. Yanking them off and freeing herself of the chains, she heard the groan of the roof collapsing, and braced herself as she saw it coming down. She shut her eyes tight and held out her arms to try and catch it and lessen the impact. Between her strength and her bones, it might not kill her.

She opened her eyes, and saw that Archie was standing above her, and had sheltered her from the roof falling. It then offered her a scaly hand. Natalie gladly took it and got to her feet with his help, before smiling and planting a kiss on his nose. She then turned to Bianca and the smile disappeared in seconds. That's right. She was still here. Archie was squaring up with her, and roared at her, and Natalie...she didn't feel afraid for Bianca's life. In fact, right now, she, the un-snapped rational Natalie, wanted to see Bianca get hurt, if for no other reason that to prove to herself that it was possible.

In fact, Natalie looked into Bianca's eyes and saw that she was scared. This gave Natalie courage and she stepped forward. This time, she was in complete control, wasn't trying to protect anyone, wasn't in any danger of causing collateral, and had backup. Plus, Bianca was shaken. This time, Natalie would win. She stepped in front of Archie, and put her hand on his arm.

"Let me do this. I need this," she said to him quietly. That clearly wasn't a question.

This time, Natalie had a clear head, and confidence in her eyes. Bianca looked from her to Archie, and realised that unless she beat them both, she wasn't getting out of this the winner. She had to retreat And retreat she did, by turning around and busting through the wall. Natalie tried to give chase but in the dark scrapyard at night, she couldn't see her. She had vanished, and more than likely, she'd be back. Inside the building, there was no sign of Vinny either.

Once Tomoe was gone, Hitomi realised that not only was she alone with Acion, but now she had to explain herself to him. She blushed and all that snappy aggression dissipated as she sheepishly shuffled her feet and looked down shyly. "We didn't really have an agreement. Well we did. See, Tomoe's my roommate, and she likes to sleep on people's laps. I told her to make an exception and not sleep on your lap, because...um."

Hitomi coloured even more, before taking a deep breath and just deciding to come out with it. She raised her head and looked Acion in the eyes. "Are we dating? If it's not official, I...I want it to be...That semi-date we went on to get groceries was fun, and...I like you."

Seiko, calmer after his meeting with Sakura, was heading back to the boy's dorms, when he came on a curious scene involving three other 1B students; Lysander, Fujino and Persia. Persia had just tackled Lysander to the ground and the two were on the floor. After discreetly taking a picture on his phone, Seiko approached the three and giggled, before giving the two students on the floor a broad, irritating grin.

"Oh my! What's going on here?"
Sekiro and Code Vein definitely.

Also CTR Nitro-Fueled, and the MediEvil Remake.

Several hours ago, Destiny had arrived in Santa Celia. This was the location her husband had told her that their daughter would be coming to, but it didn't seem that special a city. at least not at first glance. It was only an hour later as she was listening to the radio with a cigarette between her fingers that she heard of some sort of chemical explosion that had caused a cloud. Well, that was something unusual, she'd give it that. Her husband always kept things from her even when they were together. He definitely knew something about this city that most people didn't.

Her car was stashed in one of the loading bays, which was now shut and locked. All her tracks, barring one door with a busted lock, had been covered. Free to relax, she laid back and though about this location. She picked it because she tried to trace the route she'd take if she were her daughter. From the freeway, to the industrial district, and seeing this large eye-catching derelict factory. It's what she'd do. If her daughter didn't show up, it meant that she took after her father more, and had made plans to stay somewhere. Even if that was the case, it'd be possible to track her down.

She studied her cybernetic left arm, and in it's shiny black surface, studied her reflection. She hoped her daughter would even recognize her. Destiny's once long, red hair was now black and short, she had a robot arm and her eyes...well, they were reptilian. A keepsake from H.A.T., who saved her life in return for a few...favors. At least they let Destiny keep her biological enhancements, and the arm, free of charge in payment for allowing them to test on her, and that the tests were successful. These changes gave her several new abilities that were useful for an assassin. The biggest downside was the the conspicuous eyes, which were such a noticeable and alarming part of her appearance that they had earned her the moniker 'Snakeeyes'.

She heard noises downstairs, and turned the radio off, listening intently. There was somebody in the building. It might not be Serene, but all things considered, it probably was. Slipping a gun into her holster, just in case it wasn't, and putting her cigarette out, Destiny crept downstairs. Even though it was dark, Destiny's infrared receptors, now just a part of her biology, no gadgets needed, picked up the scent of the visitor. It was a female, about the right age, and she was wearing a miner's cap and regular street clothes. Yes, thos was Serene alright. Destiny could just tell. Her mother's instinct, that she thought was dead and buried in the hole where all her feelings of love resided, was starting to splutter to life, and it told her that this girl was her daughter.

Serene would hear the door she had propped open slam shut, and a the sound of a stone rolling on the ground, if she shone her flash light in that direction, she would see a woman in her late forties or early fifties, in a black vest and loose jeans, with a holster on her belt. Looking closer, one of her arms was black and clearly a prosthetic. Maybe even robotic. Looking yet closer, she'd notice the woman's eyes. They were unnaturally yellow-green and the pupils were shaped like a reptile's. The last thing she'd notice is despite all of this, despite the woman's messy short black hair, and having aged since, this woman's face resembled the pictures of her mother.

The woman stood there, looking a little uncertain and wary, letting Serene make the first move.
I have a few characters I come back to a lot because I've clicked with them, but every time I use them, it's a different version of that character. They're in a different canon, nothing they've done before carries over, there are probably changes to their backstory and personality, etc.
I don't have a problem with cliches as a general rule. Some character archetypes are used a lot for a reason; they work.

But in RP, there's often another reason certain character archetypes are used a lot; they're easy.

Even when using cliches, they're just the base you need to build on. It's when people don't build upon cliches that you really notice them.

Heidi looked back and forth as Ayel and Jason spoke to each other, taking everything in, as well as digesting what had already been said. Jason's reasoning was sound, and Ayel being the mutant who'd sent the message was the most likely single possibility, it was less likely that everything else combined. As such, Heidi didn't want to jump to conclusions and keep an open mind, while also remaining suspicious of Ayel. Another thing from earlier that had given her a lot to think about was the last thing that Ayel had said to her before Jason arrived. For who and for what did she intend to use her powers?

Before the attack, Heidi tried to make plans combining pro-registration ideals with her own compassion. With her new mutation, that was a lot easier to do, though still tool a lot of time. She thought about it a lot in her free time, keeping the thought process running in the background. One day, she'd have the means at her disposal to carry out her plan. By then, it would be bulletproof.

It was lucky for Jason that Heidi was looking in the other direction when he hit himself in the face with a stone. It was also lucky for Heidi, who didn't miss Aya's awakening. Every moment, from the coughing to the shaking to the sweat, to the pain, was recorded. As well as the words 'Nocturn' and 'Uná'. Heidi made several assumptions from this; Aya knew that Uná was at Nocturn. Aya's mutation allowed her to track Uná. To achieve this, she had to be unconscious. Deduction? Aya's mutation is astral projection or something very similar.

Heidi didn't know if Aya said anything else, as Jason went over to check on her, obscuring both of their mouths. When he turned back to her, it was to ask her who or what Nocturn is. She'd seen that before. It was a place. She saw it on a map. Her brain scanned every single map of this city she'd ever seen online or otherwise and found the one she was looking for. Google Maps showed Nocturn as a location. This memory also gave her the exact location of Nocturn. She cross-referenced that memory with the memory of looking at a different map showing this club, that she had looked at earlier today. Now she knew how to get to Nocturn from here, or indeed, anywhere else in the city.

"Yes," she replied. "It's a place and I know exactly where it is."
