The reason I do it a lot is because I'm an insomniac due to my stomach issues

<Snipped quote by Sirkaithethird>

I do that like a lot

I didn't do that when I was a kid, but now for the last month, right after lunch I just and out... I've now pushed my lunch to 16:00 to keep me up.
Even though I'm an "Adult" I sneak off and nap about two hours everyday.

It would be rare a boy that age, even a Midshipman /Cabin boy be allowed on a Naval vessel and only then if they were related to the Captain or higher rank aboard. Powder monkey's were sometimes as young as 10 but taken only if they had the strength and stamina to do the task.

Oh and if I may Ask Captain; "Is it permissible that I know a bit of our Orders"

Stand taller fingers almost on my buttons; "I ask as knowing our sailing orders allows me to prepare for regional malady's"

We probably will be assigned to the Channel fleet, or a squadron in the north Atlantic

Uhh... The moment you get found out you'll be taken to port...
@SirkaithethirdWould a single rapier be alright then? No pistol or anything else? Or should it be the clothes on their back?

A rapier is probably very expensive, a simple Dirk is more of the seaman's style
