He opened his eyes when he heard Eve, and leaned forward. "I saw nothing." He said, realizing that he probably wasn't going to be getting much rest. He, out of boredom, checked his arm again, just trying to pass time.
He waved off the weird snake, he didn't care for it much, he really kept it around for Eve. He began reloading his arm, putting the bag of shells in his bag. Once he topped off his arm, he leaned back, hoping to get some rest.
As he is studying his arm, all that he feels safe doing is adding an outer shell, additional armor. He then looks for shotgun shells, but he doesn't quite know where to look, they're not in his bag.
He sits there, and takes his bag and puts it beside him. He then opens the back and pulls out an assortment of screwdrivers and hammers, as well as spare parts that he's acquired along the way, and contemplates if there are any possible upgrades that he could make.
"Yea, we took what he gave." He says as he walks into the house one last time. "Abigail, I do thank you. The hospitality was appreciated." He then walked back out to the group, climbing into the wagon. He chose not to question how a plant and a horse conversed. It was never smart to question nature.
