Backstory
  • How did you gain your skills?
In short, Akio has been trained both academically and athletically since early childhood thanks to the effort of his domineering mother and businessman father. He has excelled at most everything put in front of him, from being a champion acrobat and martial artist to being at the top of his high school class.

  • When did you first put on your costume?
After entering High School, much like the rest of his life to that point, Akio was soon caught in the spotlight due to his athletic ability and impeccable grades. Most would think a lifetime of being the cream of the crop would be thrilling, but it had much the opposite effect on Akio, who quickly found himself bored. As non-heroic a reason as it is, Akio's first night as a superhero was born simply out of his own desire for something to do where he didn't automatically succeed. The life of a superhero certainly fit the bill.

  • Who, outside of the team, thinks you shouldn’t be a superhero?
Outside of the team, the only person aware of Akio's even being a superhero is his little sister, Kasumi. While he has managed to ensure she doesn't tell their parents of his choice of hobby, the newest freshman at Halcyon High certainly does not approve.

  • Why do you try to be a hero?
Just because he does it for the thrills doesn't mean Futeki has to be a bad person while he does it. Better to be an aimless hero than an outright villain, right?

  • Why do you care about the team?
Because of his upbringing, Akio has to put forward a certain image of refinement and class in public settings. While he is not without a number of acquaintances due to his standing in school, he finds himself identified as the ace of the team or class more than as a person. This changed after he entered the world of heroism, and he feels that when he is with the team is the only time he can just be an everyday teenager, something he finds rather amusing, considering just who his teammates are.

@MrDidact In truth, I only really had eyes on Addam, since I admittedly wouldn't know what to do with Corlys. So if you've got stuff in mind for the household proper, I'm more than willing to be along for the ride as Addam.

Besides I can't convince anyone else to be Alyn.
As for me, I was thinking I could play House Velaryon, especially Corlys and Alyn, as well as Aemond One-Eye on the side of the greens.

Oh. Well. Shit.

Fuck it less work for me.

After finding some time to actually do some tentative research into the Dance and judging by the extreme lack of true loyalists dragonriders sided with the Blacks, I may throw my hat in as Addam of Hull. We'll see what happens.

I'll put my hat in with this. Thinking of House Stark or Blackwood.

Where the Roddy and Rolly hype @ tho.
It's been essentially done for days but since I can't be fucked waiting for @Inkarnate's bitch ass anymore, I'll just put it here. Obviously certain things are subject to change based on whatever the hell I end up getting told to do for the sake of Blackfyre Plotting cohesion.

• Abandoned Construction Yard, City of Erie •

All things considered, Noah's first visit to the 404 hadn't been horrible. Sure, he'd only been there because principal Hinton decided to pull out of the parking lot without looking for an oncoming pickup truck, but the worst part about the whole ordeal were the awkward looks he'd gotten from his fellow students when they discovered him there and the subsequent loss of anything even resembling interest when he'd explained the circumstances. Well, that and the fact that he now had to take a public bus into town for the foreseeable future. He wondered just how long it'd take the guys at Pennzoil to fix his admittedly beat up Chevy. It wasn't a particularly long walk to the bus stop or anything, but just how the mismatched group of teenagers ended up walking together and not immediately fracturing was beyond him.

That was, until the two females of the group decided jumping a fence into an abandoned construction site was a good idea. If there were an opportune time for the group to split up, this was it. Noah didn't know either of the two girls particularly well, but much like Connor, he didn't particularly like the idea of following them over. At least, not until he heard C.J. mention the time. Noah responded by fetching a Nokia mobile phone out of his left pocket with an easy grin on his face.

"It's only an extra ten minu-"

Noah's eyes went grim when he glanced down at the screen in his left hand. Just how long had they been in room 404? Just how long had they been walking along making idle chatter? Needless to say, Noah didn't fancy having to call his parents to pick him up in the city because he'd somehow managed to miss the bus. He pocketed the phone and didn't take more than a second to make up his mind and climb the fence himself. It didn't take him much more than a single vault. Benefits of being a considerably taller than average teenager. That, and he could reach the top shelf at the supermarket where all the good Little Debbie's snacks were kept.

"Well, you know what they say about strength in numbers."

Noah dropped to the other side of the barrier with a bit of a thump and shrugged his shoulders.

"What's the worst that could happen?"

Noah J. Ward

What's your name?

Noah. Ward. Middle name's Jacob.

How old are you?

Sixteen going on seventeen, last I checked. Junior year, am I right?

What do you look like?

You tell me. I cracked six feet, so that's something, even if everyone thinks I'm Godzilla now. Something like 180 lbs. of pure muscle thanks to all the work I do on the family farm. I'm probably not the cleanest guy in school, but when you have to drive several miles into town after morning chores just for a high school diploma you gotta prioritize. If it weren't for the dirt stains on my clothes and my lack of Letterman jacket I'd probably look like a stereotype. Or maybe I just look like a farmer stereotype instead of a jock. Dang. At least I don't wear a cowboy hat.

Do you have any hobbies?

I figure the obvious answer is football, considering I'm on the team. But I just love being outdoors and in the open air, especially if said air doesn't reek of whatever's in that paper mill. I know it's not exactly a big thing up here but I tried amateur rodeo once. Got a cracked rib for my trouble. Maybe I'll try and convince my parents to let me get a motorcycle license. Could you imagine?

What are some things that you especially dislike?

I like to keep things positive. I'm sure if we started talking about politics there'd be something or other, but for the most part, if you're not an asshole, we're not gonna have any problems. I'll just avoid you otherwise as long as you're not pulling anything in front of me.

What are your goals for the future? Both immediate and long-term.

Well, since my older sister decided to become a veterinarian, I'm probably the child that's supposed to inherit the farm assuming I don't magically make the NFL or something. Maybe I'll go to college if I can get a decent scholarship somewhere. I haven't really thought about it in the long term. As for right now, I'm just trying to get throw life one day at a time.

What's your home life like? Specifically, what is your relationship like with your parents?

No different than what you'd expect, right? I'm the second oldest of four kids with two sisters and a brother. My father likes to take me and my brother camping every now and then, but that's slowed down the past couple of years. Bad harvests, y'know? We've turned the family house into a bit of a zoo with the sheer amount of dogs and cats prowling around. Blame my sisters. I may give my sister crap because I have to take care of her pets while she's away, but it's all in good fun, nothing but love in our family.

What's your favorite animal, and why?

Well, it's hard to be raised on a farm and not have a certain soft spot for cows and chickens and pigs, right? Though in truth I've never met an animal I didn't like. Except maybe stinkbugs, but who actually likes those things?

Favorite color?

Dark green, like tree leaves.

Do you identify with any song or piece of music?

Don't tell anyone but despite being raised on a farm I don't exclusively listen to country. Shocking, right? There's a lot more Judas Priest than Hank Williams on my Walkman.

Do you believe in aliens?

Wholeheartedly. The universe is just too big for there not to be other lifeforms out there, right? Not that there's been crop circles in my fields or anything. But yeah, I think they're out there, we just haven't run into them yet. That's just me though.

Noah's Relationships

Connor Rice
Connor was one of the first people I met during Freshman year. I never had trouble adapting to the new environment and all that, but he was in my homeroom and another sports guy, so we sort of fell in with each other. For years I've been trying to get this man to join the football team, but he's focusing on trying to get an academic rather than athletic scholarship, which I can respect. Still makes for a good workout buddy. Offered him some work over the summer as a farmhand seeing as he's always asking me about crops and stuff.

C.J. Makowski
Is that the girl that only seems to glare at me or ignore my existence? I don't think she likes me very much. Don't know what I did though.

Peter Przybyszewski
The new kid! I haven't seen him around school much. I've tried reaching out to the guy ever since I had to run off a couple of guys hassling him in the hallways a couple weeks ago, but he's kept to himself. I guess he just hates attention. I just hope I don't massacre his name if he ever does talk to me.
