Current Whenever I think I have free time I always get slammed with college work and stress... But I'm still standing, so that's good.

Nothing much to know really. Just an average college student doing his best to balance out his love of writing and, well, everything else.
Stop by, say hi, or be that one guy who stands behind some shrubs in the distance with binoculars, I don't mind... Even if the latter is a bit odd.

Aaah sorry >_< I’ve been a bit busy but I’ll try to get a post up maybe tonight. Though from what I read, you guys keep eating the cream puffs meant for the mayor...

This will be a... fun party.

Also, thanks for the praise @T Risket! I don’t really think I deserve it, there are plenty of other posts with much better writing than mine, but I’m glad you like mine all the same! I’ll do my best to go past your expectations!

The newcomer had a small order of a simple cup black coffee, something that did leave an impression on Grayson. After all, he didn’t even get his name, but Grayson didn’t mind that. Everyone had their own style and way of doing things, and he felt the guy didn’t seem to need to open up about himself, nor did he leave a bad taste in Grayson’s mouth. Besides, he felt he’d have plenty of chances of getting on the stranger’s good side, especially if they went to the event tonight.

And after he had given the man his coffee, Grayson turned his attention to Robin to get her order, saying hello and reassuring her that everything was fine. After her was his next customer, Olivia, the town’s wine stewardess. She’d been in Valbree for awhile now, and he had to admit, her wine was amazing. He didn’t want to sell it in the café though, partially because he felt it didn’t fit a café and partially because he felt any alcohol should go to the bar. He didn’t want to compete any more than he already had to, and he respected Waconia enough to not step over that self imposed alcohol boundary, even if it could be seen as small.

Regardless of that, he knew Olivia was a good person, and he definitely didn’t mind the extra company from her dog either. He’d gladly clean up the mess the St. Bernard could leave. Though before he got an official order, she bolted out of the café in a rush. It also seemed a lot of his samples of his cakes and pastries were gone, but he supposed that was alright in the end as he could always make more.

With everyone taken care of so far, it was finally time to start working on some meals and snacks for the party tonight. When it came down to it, he ultimately decided on 3 things: a simple Greek salad for a healthy option, blueberry muffins with cream cheese filling for a twist, and a special plate of strawberry cream puffs for the mayor. A bit devious, but it would certainly be funny to say the least. After all, the best way to start the new year was with a prank on the Mayor. And with so much food going around, it’d be easy to pin what was to come on the food simply not agreeing with him.

With a smirk, he started to write down the ingredients for the salad:

He knew he’d have to increase the amount of each ingredient so that it would fit into the large party bowl just for these occasions. The same could be said for the muffins as well, and so he began to write down those as well.

Last but not least, he needed to decide on the cream puff ingredients too. Luckily, since it was for one he could write the amounts.

Feeling that the rest of the town would be busy and having already served a couple people, he closed the shop for the day so that he could prepare this mini feast...

Later...

Grayson was tired to say the least, rushing to the Mayor’s place with a utility cart that was carrying his various items. The cooking had taken him far longer than he had anticipated, and while he hated being late, he felt it would be worth it when the mayor ate the items that Grayson had cooked last: the cream puffs. If he hadn’t put laxatives in them, he definitely would have eaten them all as a reward of his hard work. He just hoped he had made enough for the town, and if he hadn’t, he supposed the prank would be suffice payment.

Finally arriving, the first thing Grayson did was collapse and lean against the cart, breathing heavily from exhaustion. He hadn’t changed out of his work attire, and he even still had his apron on. He had cleaned up to the best of his ability, but he felt he couldn’t have afforded to waste more time on looking fancy as he was already late. But he had made it now, so what was a couple more minutes to rest before he could give the Mayor his food? So he sat there on the ground, exhausted and attempting to catch his breath. The aroma of his food made his stomach growl, but he was a bit too tired to move and begrudgingly began the wait until he would feel a bit better.
If been eying this, it sounds interesting and Dragonball FighterZ has only made me want to RP in Dragonball for awhile now. Not sure what race I’d make, seeing as I doubt Earthlings would be present, no Namekians at the moment and the Sayian spots were called earlier. I’ll have to start thinking about it asap seeing as I’m late to the party.
That was a crazy downtime.
Quick update on my end, I’ve been a bit busy lately, but I’ll do my best to write a post sometime this week, hopefully today if I manage to get everything I need to done.

*stares intently* ....persona?!

I felt Leblanc had a really nice atmosphere and was the perfect size for a small café like the one Grayson now has. That and I love Persona!
Home at last!

It never ceases to amaze me when someone makes a post with a phone or tablet

Lol, I had an hour before class would start and only had my phone on me, so I thought I may as well use the time to write a post instead of look at memes xD
And posted from my phone! I’ll add a picture of the interior of the cafe later today when I get home.

Grayson was busy writing down inventory, taking note of how much of his current dry goods he still had on the shelves when he suddenly heard the ding of a bell come from the front door. His first instinct was that it had to be someone who didn’t have their own business to attend to, but he supposed they could have taken the holiday off, so that didn’t really help in the end. Setting down the bright yellow notepad he had on the counter, he turned in the direction of the door to face his customer.

Immediately his face began to beam at the sight of someone extremely unexpected, forcing him to take a second and regain his composure. It wasn’t often, or well, ever that someone so new would come to the café before Grayson had the pleasure of meeting them beforehand. What a way to start the new year! It was definitely a better surprise than the Mayor’s phone call where he bragged through a short speech. If only the first signs of spring showed up somewhere else, it would have been a nice change of pace and taken the mayor's narcissism down a peg.

Regardless, thinking about the Mayor was definitely not important right now, and he reached under the counter for a white paper notepad for taking orders, doing his best to contain the excited smile he had as the new person spoke.

“Of course of course! Ahem, take a seat at one of the booths or take a chair here at the counter! If you’re looking for a brief menu, above the counter has several of the more popular breakfast and lunch items on the blackboard. The other one has several types of coffee that you can choose from. Overall though, I have a much more broad selection than that, so if what you want isn’t on there, don’t hesitate to ask!” He replied, feeling it was rather a mouthful and a bit too much to take in at once, but it just felt like a momentous occasion that needed a long explanation.

It was so amazing he didn’t notice the local carpenter, Robin, enter, and when she suddenly bumped into the new guy after slipping. His eyes widened in shock for a brief second, feeling it had to be his fault. Was the floor still wet from his mopping from last night? Wait, they couldn’t be, he knew it was dry... It made him slightly question how clumsy Robin was. He didn’t really know her like he knew some of the others as she was a bit reclusive, but he supposed in the end he was just glad to have business and her company. And seeing as she seemed to wait for the new person to order, Grayson turned his attention back to him.

“Anyway... It’s nice to see such a new face in town! We don’t get visitors or the like that much. In any case, just order whenever you’re ready and don’t be afraid to ask any questions too!”
