A long sigh escaped Grace as she sat in front of the huge mirror trying to get her hair to cooperate. After a while of struggling she put down her brush and just looked at herself. Was this a mistake? Was anyone going to be happy that she was here? Was he going to be happy that she was here? A frown crept on to the young woman’s face and she stood up shaking her head slightly.

“Stop it Grace” she muttered to herself as she paced around the room. “Who cares? You are here for you...ok” she kept going, trying to pump herself up. Grace turned to once again look at her reflection. But this time her expression was that of determination. She’s a bad bitch no one can tell her different! Quickly she gathered her stuff and stuffed it in the small black purse she had matched to her outfit.

Grace did one last mirror check before she walked out the door of her suite. Just as the door clicked behind her the feelings of insecurity bubbled up inside of her again. What if someone saw her as she stood here looking like a weirdo who has forgotten how to walk. A few deep breaths brought he confidence back and Grace straightened up and stomped down the hallway in her high heels. But as she got closer to the crossway of the hallways she slowed down before turning towards the elevators. What if she runs into him? It’s too early! He needs to see her looking bomb and not a queasy mess.

Still there she stood slowly peeking around the corner to make sure the person she wanted to see more than anything in the world wasn’t standing there. Her breath was slow as her head slowly turned to face the elevators suddenly a loud melody sounded from her purse and made her yelp in fright. Clutching her chest she dug through her purse for her phone.

“Hello?” she answered breathlessly.

“Bailey Grace!” Her mother’s voice rang out from the receiver. “You thought you could avoid your mother huh?! Bribing your brother to come pick you up? You really though he wouldn’t spill?”

“Mom! No… yes.” Grace rolled her eyes as she slowly gave into her mother's accusations. “I just wanted to get here as quickly as I could and Jeri offered...kind of.” she offered.

“Mmmhmm…” her mother wasn’t buying it, she never did. “Well ok, but if you think that you get to leave Florida without coming home first you are absolutely wrong baby. So help me Jesus I will come up to Atlanta and embarrass you in front of your whole office!”

“Fine! I’ll see you sunday for dinner.” Grace conceded with a sigh.

There was a pause from the other side of the phone “So have you talked to A-”

Grace hastily cut her mother of “Oh mom I’m super late to this party I need to go! Bye I love you!” she sputtered and hung up tossing her phone back into her purse.

Stepping out from the hotel building the party scene sprawled in front of her. Grace eyes widened and a small gasp escaped her. It was all very beautiful and very expensive looking. Then again it was King’s Academy the budget for their senior prom was 250,000 dollars.

Her first instinct was to head over to the bar because she was sure that where she would find Willow. But as she came closer she stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the group that had surrounded said bar. She was right that Willow was seated there with a look of concern plastered on her facing Grayson Chambers. Who in turn was surrounded by all of the girls that had beef with him. The only one missing was… well her. Grace locked eyes with her best friend giving her a panicked look shaking her head letting Willow know ”There is no way I’m getting into that mess”.

Instead she took a seat at one of the nearby tables so that Willow could have an exit plan if she needed one. Soon enough a waiter was at her side with a glass of ice water and a “What can I get you miss?”

“A gin and tonic thanks… oh and make it a double!” she smiled as the waiter took the order down and walked away, returning with her drink momentarily. Sipping her drink Grace looked around seeing faces she had forgotten over the last ten years. Raising her glass momentarily as she caught the eye of Alex Shields or as she usually knew him Astroman123 before going back to looking around the cocktail party going on in front of her.

Grace Pruett lives a pretty stressful life. She spends her days and… let’s be honest most nights herding a team of grown babies (Also known as programmers). So whenever she has time over she makes sure that time is spent on herself. One hot spring evening Grace had spent the better part of an hour picking out the perfect piece of stilton cheese at the grocery store before returning home to her apartment and her dog George.

As she struggled with her shopping bags up the stairs to her building she spotted that a couple of letters had been shoved into her mailslot. A groan escaped the young woman as she shifted the weight of the bags to her other arm as so she could awkwardly grabb the letters before getting into the elevator that took her to the 6th floor and her apartment.

“Hey baby!” She cooed at the dog that was skipping at her feet as she was putting down her bags. Grace spent some time putting away the groceries and pouring herself a glass of wine before flopping down on her couch sifting through the letters she had received. One of the letters caught her eye in the midst of bills and sale flyers. A handwritten letter with her name carefully written out in neat handwriting. Grace ripped the letter open and unfolded the note inside.

Deep brown eyes scanned the page eyebrows raising higher the more that she read. A huff left Grace as she lowered the invitation to her high school reunion. “This bitch…” she whispered. The invitation had allegedly been sent out by Amanda Woodall who Grace knew well enough to know that Amanda had most certainly not written this letter. People might change but this sounded like a whole different person.

Grace sat up straight letting out a loud sigh as she absentmindedly petted George on his stomach. She chewed on her lower lip as she pondered the possibilities of her going to this event. Besides having a reason to get together with Willow, her mind instinctively went to Andre Martin. Is he going? Would he want her to be there?

After a few minutes of this she opened a drawer in her coffee table rummaging around in the clutter for a pen and rsvp’d “Yes”.

On the 7th of June the sun was baking outside of the Key West Airport where Grace stood looking for her younger brothers car with her phone glued to her ear.

“Where are you Jeri?” she said craning her neck around trying to spot him.

“I’m right outside!”

“No assface you are not because I’m right outside!” she groaned as she fanned herself with her old boarding pass.

“Ok so not right outside but I’m pulling up now! See I’m waving at you now… Hey! Hello can you see me? I’m behind the white prius!”

Grace rolled her eyes and hung up stomping of towards her brother dragging her bag behind her. She threw her bags in the backseat before getting in the car beside her brother in the front.

“What’s wrong with you? Why can you never be on time?” she looked at her brother without blinking.

Her brother just laughed “Get of my case! I have a life outside driving you around!”

“Oh I know that is a lie! Come here!” Grace laughed back and grabbed her brother around the neck and planted quick kisses on his cheek.

“Get off me you crazy old lady!” he said shoving her back into her seat.

Grace just smiled at him poking a finger at his cheek before he drove of towards the airport exit. “Thanks for doing this Jeri” she said getting more comfortable.

“You know what you’ll owe me sis!” Jeremiah smirked eyes still on the road.

“Ugh... your tickets for Dreamhack ATL have already been mailed to you!” Grace sighed resting her head on the window soon drifting of to sleep.

“So I’ll pick you up here on Sunday then?” Jeremiah asked through the open window as Grace got her bag.

“Yeah I’ll text you when I know the exact time!” Grace said as she closed the door. “Bye love you!” she shouted as her brother drove of. The young woman looked up at the huge hotel and let out a short breath before making her way into the lobby.

A smiling hotel receptionist greeted her cheerily. “Checkin in?” she asked.

Grace offered a smile back “Yeah… I’m here for my uh…”

“Reunion?” the receptionist finished as she clicked away on her keyboard “What’s your name?”

“Grace Pruett”

“Alright Ms. Pruett here is your key and room number. There is a cocktail party for you guys later all of the information in in your itinerary. Hope you will have a wonderful stay.”

“Thanks… I’m sure I will.” Grace smiled before turning to the elevators. She looked around the grand lobby trying to see if she recognized anyone. Who would be coming to this thing? She knew that Willow was already here because Grace had demanded a play by play as soon as she had landed. But who else would be here? Was Dre already here? Was he even coming? These were the thoughts that were swirling in her mind as the elevator was ascending towards her room.

Frankie sat in the chair next to Josh with her legs crossed her right foot taping the air. The video playing was so redundant not one of the kids sitting in this room was paying any attention to it. And for Frankie it wasn’t any different, the girl was looking anywhere but the ancient television. Even though there was no reception anywhere Frankie stared down into her phone in hopes to find something to do but of course it came up blank. A huge sigh left her as she shifted in the uncomfortable plastic chair. Her focus shifted to Josh as he began to speak about how the summer would play out.

Slowly Frankie took of her sunglasses to get a better look at the young man sitting next to her. Did he get hotter since last year? Her mind traveled back to past years when she had just remembered Josh being a nerdy kid that stayed in the background. But now as she watched him going on and on about ice cream she couldn’t help but stare at his face. Biting her lip she made a mental note to explore it further at a later time. The murmur that broke out when Josh mentioned that camp would last for three months surprised the blonde. This must mean that there are a lot of new campers. Frankie raised an eyebrow and tried to arrange her face into a calming expresion at the same time trying to spot the new kids. They could be of use during the summer.

As soon as the speech was over Frankie stood up and patted her colleague on the shoulder “Great job Joshie! You didn’t scare’m too much!” she shot him a sparkling smile before turning to the group of campers idling around them. “Alright girls! You can follow me and this lovely lady and we will take you to your cabin!” she said loudly as gestured towards Alex who had stepped forward from her spot leaning against the wall.

The group of girls made their way towards the cabins in a slow manner as the heat was getting almost unbearable. Frankie fanned herself with one of the camp maps as she walked next to Alex. She turned to the taller girl “So did you hide the good snacks already or is that on the agenda for later?” Frankie grinned from behind her sunglasses.

When they arrived at the campers cabin Frankie threw open the door sending out a puff of stale musty air. “Well! Here we are! Your mansion for the next three months.” She stepped out of the way so that the girls could step inside. “If you need us we’re up in the counselor’s cabin over there…” she pointed to the larger cabin up the path. “...but don’t go crazy. Anyway I’m going to lay out down by the lake to get some color on this translucent skin. Please don’t bother me if you haven’t brought a drink or popsicle or something. Okay byyyeee!” she said sweetly lowering her glasses and shooting Alex a wink before turning around and heading down to the lakefront.

Blue eyes scanned the phone screen as April sat down at the table. “Hey sweetie.” Julie said with a smile putting her phone down. “How are you doing?” she asked as her eyes flicked to her friends midsection. Thankfully she caught herself before it became too noticeable and composed her face. “Where did you disappear this weekend? I tried to check on you but I didn’t get an answer. I’m guessing you and… Santiago made up?” she probed.

She picked up her phone again scrolling through when April asked for ideas “Well I’ve just been musing a little bit.” she said with that sparkle coming back to her eyes. “So first I was thinking we could put bees or spiders in the vents… but that might be seen as animal cruelty and a bit extreme” she shot Chanel who had vetoed that idea a look “Then I thought maybe we could do something at a big football game! But then that might upset your… friends.” she looked away through the window out into the courtyard. For some reason the huge fountain that sat in the middle of it held Julie’s concentration. Suddenly Julie’s face lit up and a small gasp escaped her.

“You guys!” she clasped her hands in front of her. “What if we turned the courtyard into a huge foam party?” she mused in a low whisper. “Like we sneak in here the night before and set it all up and when everyone arrives in the morning it will look like they entered a party in Ibiza.” she turned her head toward the fountain “We could use that as our big foam machine” she said pointing with her fork.

“What do you guys think?”

Archer gritted his teeth as he watched his big cousin stomp away. Should he have told Max? Was this going to come back and bite him in his ass? Probably. Butt all he could do now was roll his eyes and go back to scribble in his notebook. He was deep into translating a latin poem when he felt someone take a seat next to him. When he felt the gentle touch of Kavan a warm feeling filled the boy. Everything was still ok.

He returned his boyfriends gesture with a kiss on the lips before shutting his book. “Just writing Mrs. Archer Varma over and over again.” he said grinning widely vincing at the pain that too large facial expressions brought. “How’s your day going? Any troubles?” Archer asked leaning into Kavan snuggling up under his chin.

As Guy sat down the wavy haired boy straightened up in his seat. He only knew how much he hated to be around PDA so he wouldn’t want to be the one displaying it. “Oh you know…” he began following his friends gaze that landed on his boyfriend. He laughed “No, no! This is not a result of any kind of domestic violence.” Archer pointed out as he waved his hands in front of them both before grabbing Kavan’s hand and squeezing it. “No this is… uh how can I put it. It’s the result of me not knowing when to shut up… as usual.” he gave his friend a weak smile.

When he heard Kol yell out after him Max whipped around bounding back towards the kid. “Listen here Halliday! I am not taking it out on anyone. All I am saying is that do not be an asshole and you won’t be punished. You got a problem with that? Or did you want to go beat someone smaller than you?” he said his anger barely being contained. He turned on his heel again starting to walk away once more when he heard Sawyer pipe up. Max stopped dead in his tracks lifting his hand to his nose pinching the bridge of it letting out a big sigh. What was with all of this wineing. Turning back a second time he stared Sawyer down locking his jaw before answering.

“Who said I was giving anyone a break, huh?” he asked stepping closer to Sawyer “Maybe I didn’t want to discuss what I was going to do with you fuckwads? Maybe I have already done something?” Max continued getting closer and closer to Sawyer’s face. “So before you go complaining like I just took away your favorite blankie maybe just think! And if you ever step out of line like this again we’re going to have a problem…” before he could continue he felt an arm pulling him back. Looking up he saw Santiago’s concerned face.

“Oh for fucks sake…” he said shaking Santi’s grip from his shoulder. “Just stay out of this…. what do you want?!” he spat crossing his arms in front of his chest.
