Welcome back! :-)
Arthur and Clark got up from their seats and turned around. They heard Delia tell them to get their upfront pay from her assistant in the waiting room. Before leaving the room both of them turned their heads and nodded with a gracious smile.

Delia's assistant stared at the cricket and the human when she saw them coming, she rolled her eyes a bit. Arthur looked at the woman and didn't even bother to think about what made her eyes roll. "Lady, Delia said she would pay us upfront 5 gold each", he smiled and looked at Clark. Clark finished the sentence: "She told us you would give it us, please hand it over because my friend here is literally starving."

The assistant looked bothered and let out a low sigh. "Why won't she just leave me alone? I have dozens of things to do", she told them. She kept babbling on while opening a drawer of her desk to take out a money-box.

Clark and Arthur investigated the waiting room and gave a weird look at the lady. Surely it was crowded at the game tables, but the waiting room had been empty ever since they had walked in and the assistant did not seem to be working at all, but they noticed a pack of sigarettes and a lighter laying on the desk.

"Here's your money". Ten golden coins clattered on the desk in front of them, some almost rolled off of it. Arthur was quick enough to grab them and quickly take the rest of the coins as well. He shared half of it with Clark. "Thanks, Lady, so kind of you", Clark commented, "Now go and fill up your lungs with tar and nicotine!" Arthur made a gracious bow and made up a cynical laugh. Then they walked out of the building and said goodbye to the friendly bodyguard.
I am back as well, also desired for Me Time after several deadlines at work around the holidays. Looking forward to continue!
December was emotional and busy for me as well. I am happy to continue!
Cool! I will post tomorrow early afternoon, so like in 24 hours
As Clark and Arthur started walking to the large building they saw a glimmer appear. It had gotten so dark that the lighthouse had started it's nightly job to guide ships and boats to safe havens and prevent any collision. The view was stunning and glorious. The lighthouse beams reached for miles and miles and were so very bright that they could blind anyone looking too long into the direction of the large edifice.
"Have you ever seen such beauty?" Arthur asked Clark, turning his head to the friendly cricket. Clark nodded slowly and seemed to hide something by the way he answered Arthur's eyes. Clark sighed and tried to hide it. Arthur looked at the cricket and wondered what he didn't tell him, but didn't bother to ask him. Yet.

The two men walked through a large street and saw a sign pointing forwards with the letters "PLAZA" on it. Clark and Arthur moved on a sudden curve in the road and when they had walked past it they saw something that Arthur wouldn't have believed if had not seen it with his own eyes. They had reached the a large plaza. The flooring consisted of large stones interspersed with wide fields of grass, and to make Arthur's astonishment even bigger, he became aware of a stream that was large enough to handle a small ship and assist it from one end of the plaza to the other end. There were two drawbridges to let anyone pass the stream, one was for pedestrians and the other seemed to be dedicated to goods. At that second drawbridge was a customs counter and anyone transporting goods was required to cross the stream at that specific drawbridge. Anyone caught smuggling could be thrown into jail without question, or worse, banished for a long while. There was a long line waiting at this drawbridge.

Clark nudged Arthur to look what was on the other side of the drawbridge. Arthur first looked at Clark and saw tears were rolling down his cheeks, then he looked what was at the other side of the stream...

Unless you three have any objections, you have one more post, winding down and settling into your beds for the night.

Then, I'll be posting a training montage, skipping to the last day of your training.

I will post tomorrow night :-)
The ocean near Kame House -> Training Islands
Tuesday, July 19th, 2500

Jack Riptor

The moon shined brightly on Jack's face as he was still swimming. He tried to give in to his body's fatigue, but his mind wouldn't allow it. He had come to far to give up now! Back when the sun was still on top of the sky, Jack had seen wonderful sea creatures such as sea turtles, dolphins, big schools of fish and even a seemingly lost baby shark along the way. If this was already being gifted to him in one afternoon, what else could he possible miss out on if he had stopped his training now?

The island was now in his eye sight and the torces placed in the sand were becoming clear. He saw most of the people on the beach sitting and standing calmly, however some people seemed to be dancing underneath the moonlight as if they had just won the big tournament themselfs! Jack, however, knew better than that. This was training phase 1, it was just the beginning of an entirely new journey ahead of him. Someday soon the Earth would receive uninvited guests who would then try to claim Earth as their own. Jack would not allow that, he loved the Earth so much that he would defend Earth or die trying!

Much to his surprise Jack's knee hit sand and he almost fell headfirst in the water with the speed he was swimming. Jack got to his feet and felt the ocean water babbling to his ankles. He was almost at the beach. Slowly he walked to the brightly lit torches as he got used to walking instead of swimming. His tummy was rumbling, mentioning to Jack that it hadn't had food for hours and the small cracks on his salty lips made sure to let Jack know that he should drink soon.

At last, Jack made it to the island and he had passed the first test!
Ella stopped right next to Eris and she nodded. "Yes, this is such a beautiful piece of art," she added to Eris' comment. She stretched out her arms above her head and put her hands behind her head as if she was leaning on the air. Sunlight beamed on her face and she closed her eyes to enjoy the warmth and care of the sun's beams.

She could hear birds chirp, small animals move on top of branches of the tall trees surrounding her and her friends. She took a deep breath to take all the fresh energy in, opened her eyes and she blew it out all at once. "This is definitely one of my favourite moments in life," she spoke and she did as if she validated this in her imaginary bucketlist.

She grabbed her small backpack and took out her bottle which was filled to the brim with water. She took a sip from it and she wondered if they would find a fresh stream where she could fill her bottle with fresh water.
