Runa looked over the new, whiny addition to the team as Nikola held him aloft, taking note of the large, floating gloves that were mimicking the young mans hand movements.

Why isn't he using those to defend himself from Nikola? They might even work... Runa thought to herself as she approached the other two, just as the strange floating box returned.

"Congratulations remaining regulars! You have passed the test! Again welcome to hell!"

After the announcement completed, Runa blinked, and found that the three of them had been transported to a great hall along with the other teams that were left. In this hall, a finely-dressed young man addressed the crowd, before retreating to wherever the test administrators went when not around the regulars.

Sitting down with her teammates, Runa took a few energy bars from her pack and offering them to her teammates before replying to Nikola.

"I say we keep him. I think he could be useful if properly motivated, look at those gloves of his... They look useful, and he controls them, even if he doesn't seem to realize it, like a diamond in the rough. We've just got to break him out of his shell, or something. Maybe. I was never very good at teaching... Besides, he did survive this far, and he was chosen in the first place, so he's got to be worth something."

Biography

Lisette is the daughter of Gulliviere and Steryn Quilt, the co-commanders of the Seeking Hawks mercenary company, known for their scouts, spies and saboteurs. Throughout her childhood, Lisette learned from not only her parents, but many of the Seeking Hawks members, creating a caring extended family with some rather odd quirks. Her 10th birthday present from her parents were a bow and a hunting knife; her 'party' was to sneak into her parents camp without them noticing. Lisette loved it. As Lisettes training and experience grew, so did her ambitions. She began showing an interest in the leadership aspects of the company at the age of 12, and by the age of 16, she had demonstrated a talent for not only scouting, but leadership. Her parents decided that she should enter Estermere Academy, and get the best training money could buy. However, her family didn't have enough money to actually buy her way in, so Lisette said farewell to her family and traveled to the academy to take the scholarship exams.

Lisette has the power to Camouflage herself and disappear into the environment. It takes 5 seconds to activate, and concentration must be held during the time this power is active. She must also be standing still. While the power is active, anyone who sees her won't notice, thinking she is part of the background environment instead of a person who is present. After the power has been deactivated, it cannot be reused until an hour has passed.

"One of a kind? You're the one with dog ears, I just have red hair. And what do you mean, sorry you got me dirty? We're in the middle of a battle, and its just a little dust... Its not like you covered me in blood or anything."

"All right regulars the herd has been thinned next test is to team up! But be careful you only have five minutes to team up and they must be teams of threes!"

"Huh... I guess we survived the culling. Now, I wonder if you left anyone alive nearby to team up with..."

Runa looks around again, trying to see if any of the bodies look intact enough to pass for alive. In the distance, she saw a figure huddled under something large, but cant quite make it out... But they weren't bloody and laid out flat, and they were in one piece, so it was a good start. Runa points to the guy in the distance, and turns to Nikola.

"Maybe that person over there? They look alive enough to team up with us."

Background: Yslain was born on the streets of Ventius, to a poor Sanyan family. From this beginning, Yslain never stopped moving forwards, building on past successes and reaching to even greater heights. He is hell-bent on figuring out why Ortiz fell apart, and believes the information he is looking for is out in the Boundless, but he has yet to find even a clue. This devotion led him to become one of the few to successfully Manifest a pyxis in Ortiz, which lead him down the path to become an Empyrean. Yslain signed on with the Fornacis years ago, as a general crewman in the original crew, and later grew into his own legend as an unflappable Helmsman, able to stare down the worst the endless skies can throw without so much as twitching from his course.

After the Void Incident, and the Captains Coma, Yslain stayed in town, doing odd jobs to pay the bills, and keeping an eye on the ship until he had that dream. The Fornacis, falling. The next morning, he showed up at the Fornacis, bags packed and ready to board.

Pyxis Strength: Toughness
Form of the Pyxis: His Pyxis takes the form of a small shield, able to fit in the palm of his hand.
Pyxis Skills:

• Tank - Yslain can harden his Aura to greater resist attacks for a time. Harder hits drain more mana.
• Anchor - Yslain can focus his aura through his legs and feet, anchoring him to one particular spot.
• Resist - Tslain can focus his aura into armor for the soul, lessening its damagemitigation, but greatly increasing his resistance to curses and the like. (Doesn't work on Ysir's Curse, much to his dismay)
