Current you can never really tell if a person is looking out from behind their own eyes, or if the eyes are being piloted by tiny mice in swivel-chairs.

You aren't a true historian until you want to die because you have to properly cite 70 different footnotes on your 20 page paper at 1 AM the day it is due

Prayer does nothing. Demand change from your representatives. This is the ONLY country where mass shootings are a regular occurrence.

College student at a state college in the American Pacific Northwest. I am studying history to go into an education masters program, and then hopefully go teach high schoolers, also going for a political science minor since I keep taking polysci classes :V . Positive Nihilist, leftie, enjoy in depth discussion of topics/fun tangents, also enjoy being left alone... depends on the day. I also am not a fan of capitalizing the beginning of a sentence. why does it need a capital letter? there's already a punctuation mark before it! (he says as he continues to capitalize the word "I")

Other interests include:
-Overwatch: support/Junkrat main. #freefuey
-Combat Robotics: and if you're like me and are too poor to actually build shit but want to pretend you've made something anyway, check out ARC (http://s10.zetaboards.com/Drowning_City_Forums/index/). /cross-forum plug :V
-also in the vein of robotics, I volunteer through the FIRST (for Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition community. FIRST puts on a lot of really cool robotics based events for schoolchildren, and I do encourage you to check out their events and/or get into volunteering if you're into that sort of thing. it's also a gigantic commitment and probably not as much fun for people who aren't as into it as I am :V . still, go take like 3 minutes to watch this, this shit is so cool! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjDSCT96K2w
-Hearthstone (fuck cubelock amirit I definitely dont love cubelock or anything)
-MtG (and by that I mean I dick around with a group hug commander deck with my friends)
-I play Sheik in one of the Super Smash brothers games but I forget which one. pretty sure it's not melee :V

While we're on the subject of necromancy, I figured I'd give the rhetorical question in Draken's sig an answer since it's been bugging me for a while actually :P

At least as far as pathfinder canon goes if you're on Golarion (which is my familiarity, I assume that D&D runs vaguely similar), necromancy is not strictly evil - there are many spells, like speak with dead, which do not involve actually raising dead, and don't piss off Pharasma (basically hades). The reason that raising dead is specifically evil, looking beyond the moral factors that exist on the mortal plane, is that you literally are bringing everyone closer to the heat death of the universe when you do it.

So pretty much, Pharasma has this gigantic line of souls of people not dedicated to a god that she has between her plane and a god called Groetus. when you raise a soul from the dead, you run a good chance of pulling someone from that line, since creating undead (even unintelligent undead) draws the soul back to the body. Why is that bad? well, when Pharasma runs out of souls in that line, she runs out of souls to feed to Groetus. This pisses Groetus off, and he initiates the end times. Sorta a Ragnarok deal, ya know.

I'm sure everyone cared :V
Not the GM obviously, but I'm pretty sure we're going with a new thread. Know we're making a new Discord as well.

wait why make a new discord? just kick out the old guys and invite in the new ones :V
K I did it finally @Omega Man

@Sgt Vandingo,@Irredeemable either of you planning on posting soon? Like to see our littl trio moving along
Stina was rather unsure of what to do in this situation before Hassan ran in and drove away all of the patrons. He was surprised, but pleased. they'd be facing these pirates hand-to-hand shortly. "I thought your friend was supposed to be the calculating one?" Drogonov asked, and Stina couldn't help but break out in laughter as he rounded the corner and saw everyone slowly filing out. he didn't know why he found it so funny, but the whole situation was just.... hilarious.

He eventually straightened up in time to get tossed the metal vial, and be told it tasted good. He knew better, but also knew that he needed the stuff to fight these people, and was grateful for it. He swallowed and grimaced before turning to Drogonov, who looked read to talk, while pulling out his axe. The explosion hit and Stina immediately moved for cover, really cursing not having his shield. Timing his movements around the pirate's reloading as best as he could, he began to move towards close range. Progress was slow though - too slow - frustratingly slow. The last straw was the SA egging him on.

"c-c-cover me," he replied, flashing an even more vicious grin back. focusing his inner ether, he channeled it into his limbs and core. Focusing not on a paling, but instead on his own muscles, he felt the magic coiled and ready to burst as he readied himself. "NOW!" he yelled, as he suddenly burst across the clearing, slamming a pirate hard into the wall as he reloaded. Sidestepping the panicked turning slash of that pirate's companion, Stina cleaved him in half with his axe, gracefully spinning with the blow. Avoiding the thrust from a third pirate with this move, he continued the momentum of his previous hit into this new attacker, his axe shearing straight through the man's right arm, embedding itself in his spine. Instead of trying to free the axe, he left it for the moment as the man waivered and fell, the light leaving his eyes. Drawing his most easily accessible dagger, Stina shoved the table this pirate had been using for cover into a better position for him, as he analyzed the situation with the remaining pirates. He should have given the others enough of a distraction to deal with the remainder, but it was best to stay on his guard until he knew for sure.

He also hoped one of the soldiers was carrying some ether on them. He could probably only do that once more, and he didnt know what else they might be dealing with.
welp, I feel vaguely disrespected with the whole not managing to find me a partner a month in so immma peace out now
I guess we're posting characters here then

Warden will continue to be vaguely confused about everything in this new rp as well :P
well that both took longer than expected to write and was longer than expected. but have a post :V
The Warden//Episode One//Why do we Even Have These Droids

The Warden realized on raising himself up to the top that he didn't really know what to do now. There has to be somewhere that controls the combat droids...something that let them malfunction in the first place... The Warden in general didn't keep up with the technical side of the base, but did know that the main control room had a few emergency shutdown buttons, one of which was for the training room. That would do for starters.... he thought, before hearing the telltale sounds of another droid, this one entering the lobby. He quickly dove to the side, taking the still unpowered Najee with him in a protective roll as the Supergirl droid dove at where the two were standing a second before. Two more entered, a Warden and a Starman. Quickly getting back on his feet, Warden assumed a fighting stance as the three bots started circling him. "I could really use Shazam right now..." he said to the boy he assumed was still behind him - until he heard the pitterpatter of a small child running, and turned around in time to see Najee disappear around a corner. "NAJEE" he yelled, as the Starman bot pushed him up against the wall with its powers.

Forced to engage, The Warden rolled from his fallen position, coiled his vines behind himself and launched himself at the Starman clone, fist first. Smashing a hole in the bot's midriff, he followed up with the brambled vine, hitting the starman clone into the wall, HARD. Ducking, he dodged a vine attack from the Warden clone, tripping it with one of his own vines before getting hit by a spurt of heat ray the supergirl clone was attempting to control. Knocked back closer to the Warden clone by the painful blast, the Warden took it in stride, laying into the still fallen clone with a strong kick. Dodging a shot from the shorting out Starman clone, the Warden sent out two vines at the Supergirl clone. it dodged the one aimed at its head, but the other came from the other side straight at its hips, and sent the robot sprawling. As he was doing this, he began to close the distance with the Starman clone before he felt his entire body just... stop ...

The Warden clone pulled harder on his vines as The Warden resisted its powers. He could feel the tears forming on his spine as the clone controlled him by his plant half, before getting thrown into the wall. Picked up again, he was teed up for the Supergirl clone, who flew into him HARD. Slammed into yet another wall, the Warden struggled to get up, trying to focus his own powers as his clone again grabbed him using its plant control abilities, this time slamming him into the roof. as the Warden fell, he threw another one of his acorns hard at his clone. as he did so, he grabbed onto the rafters with two vines, dodging a shot from the starman clone and sending the brambled vine at his clone. Focusing into the acorn, it began to sprout, until his clone noticed it, and focused all of its power on stopping that growth. The acorn dinked uselessly off of the robot, which was then blindsided by a vine wrapping around its neck. The warden squeezed tighter, and the robot's illusory appearance began to fade as the vine wrapped further around it and crushed the machine.

As this was happening, The Warden turned his attention to other matters, namely dodging the attacking supergirl clone. He still got caught in its flyby and took a hit to the chest that probably broke a rib, but he also managed to catch it with a vine by the foot. pulled for a bit by its flight, he was eventually able to swing the now completely busted warden clone into the Supergirl and knock it off balance, and began dragging it towards him. Meanwhile, his final vine began jousting with the already heavily damaged Starman clone, slowly getting the better of it, smashing its head off of the rest of its body. Meanwhile, the Supergirl clone was slowly dragging him towards it by his vines. Pulling himself towards it, he punched hard, while taking a punch from it. they sparred that way in the while for a small while, before The Warden was able to catch it off guard with a kick after moving his vines a little funny. From there, he grabbed the back of its head and kneed it in the crotch repeatedly until the illusion faded and it became nothing but a set of parts. quickly grabbing out with the vine that defeated the Starman clone, he caught himself on the rafters as the formerly flying robot fell, and established himself up there as he checked for obvious wounds.

Wiping his mouth gave him a clue to the first major wound, as blood leaked out - definitely a rib or two. He couldn't see his spine, but he definitely felt the dull pain thudding along it, the bonds between his two halves torn at and frayed. Need to minimize further contact...initiate on my own terms...also need to find Najee - but is saving one at great risk to my own life truly worth endangering the lives of everyone to the hordes of robots?... he considered this as he extended a vine to recover his acorn, returning it to its seed form. Am too weak to try and find him...perhaps he is on a mission of his own?... he looked up, and to the left, to the ventilation shaft. He might not know the technical side of the building well, but he did know its physical side in and out, both through maps and his own exploration. He could get to the main control room in just a few minutes, mostly silently, and without running into more bots - and hopefully disable them in one fell swoop. Removing the cover, he climbed in and re-attached it, and made his way to his next goal.
