Hey, I'm assuming Kaede isn't planning to be a cold-blooded murderer after the shift, but do you wanna be part of Kai's old 'evil guild'? Like I mentioned in his character sheet, they aren't gonna stay evil once it turns into real life, but it would be cool if he had at least one other friend in the game.

that would work, although i was planning on a limited amount of evilness after the shift
Name (Former): Sato Kaede
Name (Character): Kallahar
Age: 31
Appearance:

In her armour the character tops 7 feet tall as the cosmetic set provides a character size increase. Under the helmet is a plain, pale face with cold eyes framed by rather stringy hair.
Character Level: 58
Character Class: Death Knight
Personality:
Outside of the game Kaede is a laid back small town police officer, easygoing and friendly. She is a bit of an idealist, seeing the best in everybody. She is, however, easily bored.

Inside the world of Emerald Odyssey Kallahar is a ruthless killer with enthusiasm and creativity bordering on the artistic. The contrast with her real world self is what keeps her coming back to the game. When she plays there is a total disconnect between herself and the character. There is no discussion of real life, for Kallahar there is no outside world. The only bleedthrough is Kaede's quick to laugh sense of humor.
Abilities:
Lifeleech: Kallahar's abilites focus around maximizing the amount of life that she can leech from enemies though her attacks. Most of her lifeleech is granted by her sword or other equipment.
Hellbound Fervor: Even in death there is no rest. Kallahar continues to fight after reaching 0 health for a period of time based on her health value before the blow landed. being killed from full health allows her to fight for two minutes.

Skills:
Intercept: Kallahar throws herself in front of an attack intended for an ally, losing part of her armors effectiveness against the attack.
Retaliating Strike: After taking damage Kallahars next attack is amplified in relation to the damage taken.
Relentless Retribution: while under 15% health Kallahar becomes immune to debuffs that affect movement or attack speed.

Backstory:
Kaede always wanted to be a police officer. Unfortunately she ended up in a small village where nothing seems to happen. At the advice from a friend from back home she took up MMO gaming in her free time. Rather than reflect real life in the game, she decided to create a persona that was a total contrast with herself.

The Death knight Kallahar was born, a vicious killer that believes in letting the strongest prevail.
Other:
Kallahar has a single NPC 'companion', though if he could speak, he would strongly object to the use of that term to describe their relationship.
NPC Name: Michael Riordan
NPC Level: 50
NPC Class: Paladin
Persobnality: A righteous paragon of Justice, Paladin Riordan is honorbound to seek out and do away with evil in all of its myriad forms. Michael is a strong counterpoint to Kallahar's wilful and bloodthirsty nature.
Abilities:
Holy Aura: weakens and slows undead and unnatural beings that approach the paladin.
Blessed Touch: A simple caress from him can heal wounds and purge ailments.

Skills:
Divine Smite: A glorious attack that deals bonus damage to unholy and undead. Anything evil or undead killed by this attack or shortly after burn to ash, leaving no corpse behind.
Vigilant Strike: A swift counterattack in response to taking damage. Ordinarilly it has a four second cooldown, when the paladin is at low health this cooldown is ignored.

History:
Paladin Michael Riordan is the relentless pursuer of Blood knight Kaallahar. A close as he ever get's to apprehending her, she always manages to escape through taking a hostage, catching him in a trap or beating him in combat. She is his sworn enemy and his main motivating force.

Sonya leaned on the Key as the demonic looking metallic tail flicked back and forth like a cat's. She stared at the pair, focusing on each in turn.

“You two against me? That hardly seems fair.”

She glanced at the girl with the hammer again before focusing on the Mad Scientist.

“You look out of breath and the new girl still doesn't look much better, I don't go for the easy ones. And speaking of her, you still haven't answered my question.”

She tapped her thumb expectantly on the haft of the axe, otherwise motionless except for the restless tail.

Vira set her jaw and frowned behind her mask. She still thought something was being hidden. The student referring to professor Archibald in the past tense really piqued her interest, but maybe Vira was reading into things too much. I could have been just a slip of the tongue or the professor was no long on the project. Still, it was exceedingly strange for a student to have been the one to greet them, especially with so much unknown about the ruins.

“So, does anyone have some light for us?”

She started into the ruins, walking in as far as the existing light let her. She did have some chemicals and compounds that could be used to illuminate things but if someone else was willing then it would help to keep her costs down.

It didn’t take her long to get home to change into something more comfortable and get some food. She checked the chat while eating and frowned at the messages from Hanaka.

[Destroyer]: You don’t have to leave. I have plenty of space at my place and both of us taking part won’t be an issue. I think it would be fun if we both had someone we could talk to who would understand.

@Raineh Daze

Thank done, she scrolled back through he messages, skimming through anything she missed and planning her next move. Surely there was already other people fighting, someone had even posted a message challenging all comers. Sonya fell back into old habits for the second time that day as she got onto the street, scanning windows and rooftops, wary for an ambush. This couldn't be good for her, dredging up these memories of the bad times. But that mindset was how she had stayed alive, it was how she would win. This time however, she wouldn't hide. She could fight back and eliminate her enemies.

Sonya transformed with a smear of darkness that drew in nearby light and then jumped onto the roof of a building, aiming to cover as much

What she didn't expect after leaving was to come across the aftermath of a fight. One was on the ground but they didn’t appear to be fighting. Sonya hefted Apollyon in one hand and the Key to the Abyss in the other before resting the axe over one shoulder and jumping down to them.

“You guys certainly didn’t wait… and who’s the new girl?”

Indrau grabbed the Drider girl with his free hand, pulling her back as he drew his blade. He followed on Tyeathe’s heels at a more sedate pace, sword leading the way. He sidestepped, deliberately to clear Tiral’s line of fire.

With any luck his presence would any of her castings difficult or impossible.

The alchemist edged around the group, walking to the entrance of the ruins and peered inside.

“I don’t see what the time of day has to do with anything. Why not go take a look now?”

Vira looked around, leaning against the structure. If there was an academic heading up the investigation then they might have a different set of priorities. They also might have made their own foray into the ruins.

“Have you entered at all yet? Have you dated the ruins?”

She paused for several beats and thought things through.

“You’re hiding something from us… ”

A few moments into the fight his hands itched with the restrained power of his warrens. His firsts were clenched white knuckled tights by his sides as he watched. Of all the swordsmen he has known, perhaps only the First Sword himself or one of the greatest among the Seguleh. Regardless, it was an exhibition of incredible skill.

He looked to the girl at his side. She hadn’t yet uttered a word but seemed to have some idea of what he was saying.

“Can you understand me? Are you unable to speak?”

Jared Kincaid

He watched the conflict calmly, and saw his moment. The outdated clothing a weapons combined with the general supernatural things pointed the blame at vampires. Specifically Black Court. Ordinarily he wouldn’t involve himself but such a public display had to shut down.

So he stepped into the street and stole a car. With the sword wielder seemingly occupied, he took the most effective option available short of having to use his pistol. Kincaid stepped into the street and drove his elbow through a car window, opening the door and pulling the driver out and into the street. He slammed the pedal to the floor and drove it up onto the sidewalk, bearing down on the anachronistically dressed combatant.

Sonya woke up, immediately awake with the first sun through her window. She laid awake for a while before deciding to get up. She stepped over the sleeping form on a futon on the floor, leaning down.

“Hanako, time to wake up.”

She continued out of the room to get ready for school.

Sonya finished the school day and paused for a half second before leaving the building, casting a suspicious glance at the windows across the street. She took a steadying breath before stepping out. Old habits were hard to break.

Walking down the street, she pulled out her phone to check the group chat for magical girls in the area. It wasn’t just a social group, it was becoming an invaluable tool.

A little trash talk was fun, better than everyone being tense and surly.
