I like the newbie idea (at least for the family, not so much Tegan). My main concern is that the game dev arc slightly steps on Force and Fury's toes, since both are going for the game studio angle, albeit with different positions of course. Maybe you two could work something out; perhaps Devon and Kyle know each other? Of course you don't have to do anything, I just figured to note the potential for overlap between the two of you.

The Rutledge family is a new family to Huddeen, having moved in a month ago. Kyle and his wife, Tegan, moved to Huddeen after the couple went through a long period of being overworked and treated badly by their jobs. It was Tegan that suggested that moving to a small town might help him recover. To get away from the hectic city life and start somewhere fresh. After thinking about it, Kyle agreed with the idea, and the two moved to Huddeen to recover and refresh their lives. Having only been in town for a month, the couple has yet to really meet their neighbors and get to know them. They are still strangers for the most part.
A 24 comic book artist from Rhode Island. Kyle had always wanted to join a comic book company and make a popular comic book. He got his chance after marrying Tegan and graduating from college in Boston, and for a while, it was a dream come true for him. Only about a year in, did making comics take a turn and Kyle had to work under crunch to cut time and pump out comics. It forced Kyle to work long hours with no extra pay, and he was barely home. Which did put stress on his relationship with his wife, Tegen. Eventually, after a year of crunch did, Kyle's body give out and he collapsed while at work. After spending time at home to rest, Kyle decided to quit his job, and it was Tegen's suggestion that they move to a small town called Huddeen away from the city. A suggestion that he accepted, and now he is both resting and figuring out what to do next.
Kyle is an optimistic person that is cautious after his time with his first comic book company. Not wanting to make the same mistake again and foolishly get himself into a situation he never wants to be in. So he prefers now to be careful with his decisions and spend more time with his wife. A 24 year old from Boston. Tegan after college and married Kyle. She took a job at a tech company in Boston, and at first, things were going well for her. But things changed when the company got brought out, and new management came in. What was a calm and welcoming work culture turned into an oppressive one. With strict rules and making their employees work long hours. Tegan tried to be her best not to get on the bad side of her new boss for months. Then she started getting harassed, and when he got tired of it and reported it. Only for her boss to come down on her and when she asked to take time off to take care of Kyle after he collapsed at work. She was bluntly denied, and after being treated like this and seeing how bad things had gotten. She quit and, after talking with Kyle about how to proceed. She suggested that maybe moving away from the city would do them both good. Like the small town of Huddeen, the two would agree, and they would move to Huddenn. Now with time to relax and destress from their time in Boston. It was time for a new chapter in her life and one that she hoped would be a good one.
Teran is a rather cheerful person that rarely gets down. Even during stress, she can still give a smile and is a hard worker. A Glaive Warrior is someone that has taken up the training and use of a polearm, a glaive rather than a sword and shield like most soldiers. Gaining reach over their foes and can engage at a distance. Along with using their mobility to gain an advantage and unleash a fury of attacks. So a Glaive Warrior does not wear heavy armor into combat as it would limit their mobility. Preferring medium or light armor in combat and tend to prefer to dodge or parry attacks rather than blocking. A Glaive Warrior can be an effective force on the battlefield and be respected for their fighting style.

Vel, despite belonging to a major noble family and being in control of a major city. He can, at times, be humble about his postion and not gloat or lord it over others. Though this is mainly the case since he is the fourth child and despite knowing his parents love him. He knows that he is least likely to inherit anything and has few options to advance in life. Making it hard for him to figure out his place in life and for one. He is not one for politics, unlike his older siblings. Showing a lack of political tact and does not like engaging in the game that happens behind the scenes that the nobles like to play. For now, he simply lives in the moment while trying to figure out his next move. Still, he is loyal to his family and will help his family in any way he can despite his situation. Though he would like to prove his worth and that he can be more than just a noble.

Sedmis, that god is one that has always felt a connection to. Partly on how he was taught when he was growing up. Always reminded of one's duties to oneself and to others. Mainly his family but also to others that he cares about. Along with the duty to the citizens of Mea Taesi as expected of a member of the noble family that controls the city. Which he honors the god by doing duties that are expected by him. By helping his family with problems, they have to the best of his ability. Like with dealing with the city's bandit problem that has thanks to his efforts. It has been greatly reduced, and trade to the city has improved significantly. Thus, he holds Sedmis close in his heart and hopes to never waver in his duties, not just as a member of the Arrianus family but as a person that seeks to uphold his own personal duties to himself and others.

Vel used to call Ordai’el home for two years while being treated for a rare illness. He enjoyed his time there and made several friends there. To see the holy city cut off by this mysterious fog and not knowing what is happening to its citizens. It was a blow to him that he could do nothing about it and simply focused on his duties as the years passed with still no news about the is happening to the city.
Then he had an idea since he wants to prove himself to be more than a noble. What better way than to go to the holy city to discover what is happening there and maybe just maybe figure out how to save the city. He knew he could not come back, but what if he does succeed then his future is limitless. So with his family's hard-fought blessing, he now prepares to venture to the city and discover what is happening to it and maybe find out how to save it.

Along with two necklaces that he wears openly. One bearing his family's crest and the other bearing the symbol of Sedmis. That and a ring that bears the symbol of Dhorbris that he has worn since leaving Ordai’el after. He has white hair that he likes to keep at chin length and has red eyes. Vel is considered attractive but normally does not flaunt or draw attention to it. He carries himself like a noble and one with duty on his shoulders, along with a stare that can change from caring to a cold one that pierces the soul. His weapons and clothes are well-kept and of high quality.

For years they thought I was crazy. For years, I was the laughing stock of the scientific community. My theories were treated as conspiracy theories or pseudoarchaeology. That we know all, there is to be known about Earth. But, I found proof that suggested something else, a long lost charter of human history that would change everything we know about the planet and ourselves. Unfortunately, I lost that piece of evidence due to the ruin I was studying collapsed, and the proof was shattered into pieces. Along with any creditably I had up to that moment, still did I give up no. I persevered, using what was left of my family's fortune to find proof of what I saw and convince others of the truth.
After years of relentless searching, digging, and going off what I remember about the ruin, I found something hidden in the Middle East, something deep underground. An ancient underground city of unknown architecture which its size I could not have guessed. We found that the city predates any of the earliest civilizations we know of, and besides, how intact the city is. The most fantastic part of it was a massive glowing crystal in the middle of the ceiling. Lighting up the whole city and even giving off radiation similar to sunlight. In the middle of the city was what I guessed to be a temple or a throne room, or both. In there, I found all the proof I needed to prove that I am not crazy. That I am right, and there is more to this world than we know. There is a long lost charter of human history, and this city is just the start. From what my team and I could decipher from what ancient writings we could find. There are references that indicate that an island of great importance called Yawuxa which lies in the Pacific Ocean and is referred to as "." That and a key called a "Piece of Chamrath" is needed to access the island.
After searching the temple for clues on where a Piece of Chamrath could be found, I found a lead to where a piece could be found. By following the information, I discovered a remote ancient temple hidden in the Himalayas. While we did find a Piece of Chamrath within, we also found.... something that I did not expect. Let's just say when I mean we are uncovering new information about the world and ourselves, I mean it! Still with the Piece of Chamrath in my care and after securing the funding for an expedition to the island. I, Arthur Henry Conway, am going with a team to uncover more about humanity's past and explore this island where the gods last walked. Surely we will find more pieces about this lost age of humanity and discover its secrets. I do not know what we will encounter on this island or the challenges we may face. Going off of what we encountered at the temple in the Himalayas, things may get very... interesting for us. Regardless I have faith that we will persevere and uncover information about our ancient past. That I am certain, and who knows what we will discover in Yawuxa. Whatever we find, I am confident that it will change how we know about the past.
