Oh, ah, sorry to say but the Creation process was supposed to be done over PM? Epithet picking, power discussion, etc etc. Just so that this thread doesnt get cluttered with shop talk?
So okay, I'm second-guessing myself a bit here, so I'm gonna change something. Yeah, before we even start, but I think the way I did it made things too muddled.

Instead of the arbitrary "Star" system for the three stats, and there being three in the first place, I'm dialing it down to just Stamina and Proficiency - limiting what a character can do cuz of some arbitrary Creativity stat is weird and I ended up not liking it.

I'll also be switching up how Stamina and Proficiency is gotten, where instead of stars you'll need to Roll for them. Adds more to the random element, and also won't gimp a character.

If anyone thinks this is also a dumb idea (because honestly I'm pretty new to being a GM here) please say so. Please.
Christmas and whatnot, probably. You seen it now!
Figured I should say in here (for lurkers and the like) that the thread is now up!

Hope everyone's having a happy holiday season, too :)

Hope the thread is to your liking. Now, then, let's set the scene for the start of this...

Chapter One: Hardcover Promise

With the Midnight Poems' return to Gleebridge, the police are on high alert, especially since the Poems seem to be incredibly lethal and crime-worthy. The GPD has sent out a "party" of officers to secure a Person of Interest - one Bibi Lotecha, former handwriting analyst and current owner of the Librarium Emporium. What starts out as an ordinary assignment will end up as anything but, since it's not just the police that want a word with Bibi.

Now you don't need to be the GPD members here. You could very well be an employee of the Librarium Emporium, a helpful (and persistent) passerby, or some other third thing that's probably a better idea! (Though it would help if there are some...)

On most days, Gleebridge as a happy city. A sparkling, shiny metropolis that casts no shadows, unless the sun is shining at an angle corresponding to any hour of the day that wasn't noon. Yes, despite winning the 'Happiest Town on Earth' award for three years running, Gleebridge is just like any other place: probably with way more crime than anyone talks about.

And never is this more right than now. A mysterious event known as the Midnight Poems returns to the city after its disappearance years ago. Horribly written and horribly prophetic, the Poems tell of tragedies yet to come, and come they do, no matter how bizarre and improbable the tellings are. Now the Midnight Poems are becoming more frequent, deadlier, and drawing quite a lot of attention to what was once just an urban legend.

It leaves a bad taste in the mouths of every Gleebridge citizen, and several questions in their minds; who writes the Midnight Poems? Do they predict the future or write it? What will they target next? Why have they returned after all this time?

And can we get this guy some writing lessons?

No preexisting knowledge of either the show or the streams are needed to play.

Was working on a thread and accidentally created it before I was finished, so now it's this! Please hide my shame ;w;
Thanks for the interest everyone!

My plan going forward is to have the OOC thread up and ready before the end of the year (maybe within the next couple of days) and to start the RP proper come the new year. Gives time for everyone to enjoy the holidays and maybe even get some more attention.

Course I say this during the week of Christmas so I might be bold-faced lying and won't be able to get it done before New Years. But, uh, y'know. Always good to have a deadline!
Heeey, thanks for the interest! Might not be enough to get a good discussion on it, but I wanted to ask y'all's opinion; one thing I really like about Anime Campaign's rules is how characters are made, a one-on-one with the GM where they make lists of possible powers for the player to pick from, felt it really helped to make characters unique.

But I'm not sure if that'd really translate well to a roleplay? Like, it could definitely work, but that feels like I'm basically shuffling players along to play their character a certain way. What do you guys think?
