Alan Southern and Adeline Wilson

Location: The Front Gates; The Academy.
Interacting With: Each other.

”So, have you already gotten your schedule and everything?” Alan asked, having taken note that she had no luggage with her save for a small white and pink handbag she kept slung over her shoulder. He hated to ask, so he just had to assume everything had already been sent ahead for her - really it was the least her parents could have done since they seemed to have just dumped her at a school with no one to help her out.

He had worked with a blind woman once at the circus - but she had been a much older lady (probably cataracts), and yet still the best damn fortune teller he had ever come across. He didn’t interact with her much, but there had been a time or two when she had asked him to help her to her trailer. He didn’t mind - she really was a sweet, old lady. And Adeline… well she was even sweeter. Perhaps he got that from her youthfulness and sense of naivety - either way, he was more than happy to help, especially when others wouldn’t.

“..m-my schedule..?”

Panic flickering across her gentle features, her eyes widening slightly; Adeline’s heart sunk in her chest. Had they not read the letter properly..? Were classes meant to be picked out before students went to the academy..?

“..I-I didn’t realise-... I-...” Her head dropping, body pressing slightly closer against his, almost as though she were trying to hide herself behind his arm, she slowed her pace, her focus instead turning to the thoughts running through her mind, rather than on where they were going, “..I-I don’t even know wh-what classes there are…”

Eyebrows raising in surprise as he felt her shift, Alan turned his head to the side, slowing his own pace down so she wouldn’t feel like he was forcing her along.

”Hey, no worries. I don’t have mine either. They gave me the option to have it picked out before I got here, but I needed a little more time to decide on a few things before I did.” He didn’t mean to alarm her - he tried giving her hand a reassuring squeeze. ”We can get them done together. Soon as they open the gates.”

“..r-really..?” Lifting her head, her soft lips parting ever slightly from one another, Adeline couldn’t stop the flush of her cheeks at the simple act of him squeezing her hand like he was; calling for her attention, and helping her to barely notice the way the leash was being tugged continuously as the whimpering dog tried his best to search about the all new surroundings of the academy, “..I-... I didn’t even know that was an option, I-...”

Biting down and nibbling a moment on her lower lip, visible relief flickering over her delicate features, she seemed to relax. She wasn’t behind… or, at least, she wasn’t behind Alan in the sense that she still didn’t know what she wanted to do class wise… maybe they should have read through everything again before she’d had to leave, “..I think we have have missed some information in the letter… my parents didn’t even want to send me here- something about my grandfather… but I don’t know why; I-... I’ve never met him…”

”Your… grandfather?” Alan quirked an eyebrow. How did that even make sense? Then again, both his mother and father didn’t want him and left him to be raised by carnies - who was he to judge?

“..Slade Wilson..? At least, that’s the name that daddy uses anyway…”

Slade Wilson - she shared his last name, and the name itself tickled at the back of his mind a bit. He felt like he should know it; a name he had read somewhere in school, maybe?

”He kind of sounds familiar, but I couldn’t tell you why…” Alan admitted, using his free hand to rub the back of his neck for a moment. ”But yeah, Professor X- uh, Charles Xavier - one of the teachers here helping to fund the place - I was at his school for mutants when I got the letter explaining the academy.. Maybe he was just helping me out, or something by trying to get me my schedule early? I dunno.”

Xavier…

A soft frown crossing her features, Adeline fell silent as she listened carefully to what he was saying. Charles Xavier… that name; it sounded familiar, but then she wasn’t exactly sure. Apart from those living in, or visiting the Teen Titan tower, there weren’t many other supers that she knew too much about, “..I’m sorry… I-... I don’t think I know him… but he sounds like a wonderful man…”

”He is. He had a school a lot like this, but was directed towards mostly mutants instead of supers and everything in between.” He paused. ”But he helped me through a lot in just a year - I owe that man a lot. I’m just happy that he’s still a part of my life for now.”

“..I-... I wouldn’t know what that’s like… I’ve never really had anyone outside of the Teen Titans…” Her mind wandering, she turned her head away, her ever unseeing eyes gliding over the scenery around them with a glazed look, “..my, uh… my family aren’t very close… and I don’t exactly have friends outside of the tower… or really at all, so…”

Alan’s heart wrenched at her admission. Admittedly, he didn’t have a whole lot going for him either - even in the circus. But Xavier’s school changed his life. He knew that if she tried, if she wanted, the academy could do the same for her.

”Well we’re going to change that. You being here is going to change that a lot. And look, you’ve already got me!” Despite her not being able to see it, he smiled.

She-... she had him..?

A gentle blush creeping out over her cheeks at his words, honest surprise written across her features, Adeline turned her attention back towards the sound of his voice, her mind lingering on his words. She-... she had a… a friend..? Distracted by the thought, her grip over the leash relaxing further, she blinked, trying to wrap her mind around the concept.

Aside from the supers who called the tower their home, she’d never had a friend that her parents hadn’t met; that they hadn’t approved of… one that they knew nothing about… This-... this was all so new, “..I-... I-I have you..?”

Alan laughed. It really was cute when she said it like that.

”Why not? You haven’t given me any reason to not want to be your friend. I think you’re a wonderful person, Adeline, and I’d love to learn more about you - weird family and all.”

“..r-really..?” A gentle sparkle filling her dull eyes, her soft pink lips turning up in a still rather shy smile, Adeline’s heart fluttered lightly in her chest. She-... she had a friend..! Someone she could spend time with; that she could get to know better-...

The wind suddenly picked up, and Alan had to look up at the sun to see where all the sunlight had suddenly disappeared to. Thunder rumbled as clouds began to circle over the heads of everyone at the academy, leaving Alan completely speechless for a few moments. Just what-?

Eyes widening, her body stiffening as the sudden crack of thunder filled the air; the sound had her moving without second thought. The leash dropping from her hand, her arms lifting, seeking out and wrapping quickly around the back of his neck, Adeline shut her eyes, her body trembling lightly against his, “..A-Alan…”

The physical contact, though not unwelcome, came as a bit of a surprise to Alan, but the basic instinct of protection won out in the end. He wrapped his arms around her small frame, shielding her from the wind just as a bolt of lightning shot down from the sky, making the entire campus shake slightly. His eyes looked around, colors that meant nothing to him flashing from person to person until two figures both illuminating a very bright white color seemed to just appear where the lightning had struck.

White? He had seen people glow blue and red before, but white has something entirely new… and it perplexed him.

The wind died down and slowly the sun began to peek out from the dissipating clouds. He shook his head, feeling a headache coming on. Trying to sever the connection between his vision and whatever ability he had been born with to see people and objects as colors, the two people he had been looking at slowly returned to normal, the white “aura” eventually fading entirely.

”Wonder what that was all about…”

Fingers curling lightly, her shoulders hunching as she sought to press herself closer against his chest, Adeline dropped her head, burying it into the nape of his neck. First there were fireworks; now there was lightning storms… did she really want to know what was next..?

”I… I think it’s over…” Alan told her gently, his eyes still looking around, watching as the other students seemed to be just as confused as he. Then, some young girl started squealing about Thor and ran up to the two men he had seen radiating the white color beforehand. ”Thor?” Alan asked, more to himself. What would the God of Thunder be doing here?

Thor..?

Her body still shaking against his own, Adline lifted her head slightly, her delicate features showing her confusion, “..w-who’s Thor..?”

”A God.” Alan said, drawing his attention back to the small girl curled up into him for safety. ”The thunder God, actually. He fought alongside Iron Man, Hawkeye, Black Widow, the Hulk and Captain America in New York when there was an alien attack, or something. Which, I think was pin-pointed to be Thor’s fault to begin with? I’m not really sure, the details are a little fuzzy. His brother Loki had something to do with it too - or at least that’s what the media says.”

“..you-... you don’t like… aliens..?”

”What?” Alan had to think back on his words, trying to figure out where she might have come to that conclusion. ”Oh! No, well I mean, I don’t particularly care for ones that try to destroy cities and hurt people. But that goes for mutants, supers, magic users, humans and all that, too. I’m… just not a huge fan of violence.”

“..o-oh…” Worry filling her heart, Adeline once more lowered her head. She’d only just made her very first friend; she couldn’t lose him now… she couldn’t…

”You okay?”

“..I-...” Biting down softly upon her lower lip, Adeline hesitated. She didn’t want to upset him, but then… she didn’t want to keep anything from him either… He was being so nice to her- opening up about everything, and answering any questions she asked… the least she could do was extend him the same courtesy…

“..my-... my mother is an alien…”

Well that wasn’t something you heard everyday. And he lived with mutants for a few years.

”Did… did she ever try to take over a city and hurt a bunch of innocent people?”

Remaining silent, her fingers curling further over the back of his neck, Adeline shook her head. Her mother hadn’t done anything wrong… at least, not that she knew of anyway. The most she knew was that her father had saved her, and that was how they had met. Ever since then, they had been active members of the Teen Titans, “..n-no… I don’t-... I don’t think so…”

”Then I’m glad that both you and her are on my side.”

He-... he was glad..? Body shifting slightly against his, her arms moving to wrap tightly around the back of his neck, Adeline’s eyes closed, her soft lips brushing gently across his jugular as she nestled her head comfortably into the crook of his neck, her arms working to pull herself closer against him. She hadn’t lost him… he was still there- she still had him…

“..t-thank you… thank you for not leaving me…”

He chuckled, using his hands to pat her back gently as he hugged her back.

“You’re very welcome, but Adeline… I think you let Ce-Jay loose…” Looking over her shoulder, the dog had indeed gotten free from Adeline’s grasp, possibly from when she had jumped into his arms at the sudden storm. Continuing his little chuckle, Alan slowly pulled himself from her and put both hands on her shoulders.

Panic filled her heart. Ce-Jay was gone… he was gone… Arms breaking away from behind his neck, her body pulling from his, Adeline’s features filled with worry, her head moving on a swivel as she strained her ears, listening out for that familiar bark until the gentle and reassuring touch of his hands upon her shoulders caught her attention.

“Here… just take a seat-” Alan helped her back up a few steps before coming to a bench, doing everything that he could to help keep her calm, ”-and I’ll go and get him.”

“..o-okay…” Reluctant, her head nodding lightly, she let herself be led back, each step slow… careful; until the feeling of stone against the back of her knees had her sitting down on the bench he had guided her to, “..I-... I’ll wait here…”

”I’ll be right back with him. I promise.” Giving her another smile, completely ignoring the worsening headache, Alan pulled himself from her completely before running off in the direction of her dog.

Isaura Reese Eldars

Location: Flight BAW229; Los Angeles to London.
Interacting With: None.

The wind whipping past her as she fell, Isaura shut her eyes, letting go of her body as she allowed the thought of death to consume her. This was it… this was the end. The roaring silence of the raging waters was almost as deafening as the explosion that she had heard hitting the plane as she came into contact with the ocean, the freezing cold temperatures of the waves only helping to cement her thoughts as they pulled her under, dragging her down into the abyss that was waiting below.

Her body was aching… worse than ever before. The sharp pain from the sudden impact with the water starting in her back, before slowly, it began to spread outwards through her limbs only helping to make her feel worse. This wasn’t the way she wanted to go- not the way she had imagined it. She hadn’t gotten married… she hadn’t had kids of her own-...

She hadn’t lived.

Opening her eyes as the burning in her throat became more noticeable due to the lack of oxygen, she lifted her hand, her face scrunching up in a panicked fear as she pressed her palm against the front of her neck, frantically looking around in the darkness for any sign of which way was up.

That’s when she saw it… a gentle orange glow pulsing from somewhere just above her. It had to be the right way; there was no way it couldn’t be. Forcing herself to push past the pain and fatigue that began to consume her body, she began to kick her legs, her arms both scooping madly through the water as she headed towards the light; her lungs working overtime to suck in a deep breath the very moment that she managed to breach the surface. Taking a moment to rest, and to gather even the smallest shred of energy that she was going to need in order to find a way out of the water, Isaura turned, her head moving on a swivel as she searched the surrounding ocean, her legs kicking back and forth as she continued to wade, doing what she could to keep her head above the waves.

“..T-Theo…”

Her voice hoarse as she spoke, she widened her eyes, watching on in horror as the plane, or what was left of it, plunged down into the icy depths, taking with it the only two people in the world that she cared about at that moment, “..n-no… Theo..!”

Fighting against the constant back and forth of the ocean currents trying to carry her further out, she began to swim, her legs kicking hard behind her as she began to close the large gap that was between her and the wreck, her eyes darting about frantically as she searched for survivors of any kind- anyone besides her, though her mind was set strong on finding Theodore and Emily…

She wasn’t going to lose them… s-she couldn’t…

Personality:

Extremely resourceful, and highly intelligent; Analyse is depicted throughout Rapture as an exceptionally brave, and selfless individual. Strong, fiercely independent, and fueled by the survival instinct grown from her difficult past; Analyse has shown herself to be undeniably stubborn, and unwittingly determined, leaving her the type of person to act first before choosing to ask questions later- the young woman learning fast, and from a very early age that she needs to do whatever she can in order to survive the trials thrown her way.

A rather logical person for the most part; Analyse, when forced into stressful and taxing situations, has a tendency to let her emotions slip out from her control; causing her to, on occasion, show herself to be more vulnerable than she would like.

Underestimated by almost all around her; Analyse, while proving to be an exceedingly polite and cordial young woman when the situation calls for such, most oftentimes finds herself placed in some sort of disagreement, or battle of wills, against those held in positions of authority. With a base drive to protect those who she believes are weak and have no skill, or method in which to protect themselves; Analyse isn’t above using her own resources in order to get through life, demonstrating that she does have the true instincts, and natural prowess of a fierce survivor.

Demonstrating an extreme sense of confidence; Analyse is, in most cases, depicted as calm and level headed, however over the years, has acquired the rather nasty habit of biting at her nails whenever she allows her nerves and anxious feelings to get the better of her. Psychologically instilled with trust issues from a young age; Analyse is not always proven to be the most socially adept, the emotional strain from living life constantly on the edge of a crumbling paradise only furthering her mental walls of friendless isolation, causing her to oftentimes come across as colder than intended towards those around her.

Rather blunt, and bitingly cynical; Analyse rarely ever shows the more passionate side she holds deep within her heart outside the company of her mentors, Dr. Brigid Tenenbaum and Prof. Julie Langford, and the little sisters that call Rapture their home. Not particularly fond of acting for the camera like her mother before her; Analyse comes across best when she is shown as just being herself, rather than allowing herself to become overruled by her emotions.

Festering an absolute hatred for the games played by those in power, including that of her own father; Analyse, above all, detests being used as a ‘pawn’ against others, and dislikes the reputation that comes with her last name weighing down upon her shoulders, however, knowing that there’s nothing she can do about who she is, or where she comes from.

General Information

Name:
Vivek Sudhir.

Nick-Names:
Mouse.

Gender:
Male.

Age:
Thirty-Eight Years Old.

Birthday:
17th of January.

Distinguishing Features:
Perhaps the most obvious, Vivek is Indian - true to the point that he was even born in Chennai, India where he spent most of his life. Being as such, Vivek also holds a particular accent and dialect that is native to his people (mostly because English is not his first language). He is considered somewhat on the short side for a male, standing at a very comfortable 5'9" though what he lacks in height he makes up in his weight; tight, corded muscles bringing him to around 175 pounds. This gives him an overall 'sturdy, solid' appearance which, depending if his arms are crossed or not, sometimes gives him off to be slightly intimidating. His eyes are a deep, rich brown color that sometimes look black and hardened depending on the amount of light though the rest of his facial features remain soft, even when angry. He prefers to keep his curly hair shoulder-length and his goatee neatly trimmed though he has been known to let his hair (including facial) go during the more rougher patches in his life.

Personal Information

Personality:
♦ Intelligent ♦ Patient ♦ Caring ♦ Level-headed ♦ Quiet ♦ Religious ♦ Soft ♦

Vivek has a certain sense of "old wisdom" about him, making him appear to be older than he actually is when he speaks openly with his mind. He is patient in all things, able to keep his anger suppressed even under the most strenuous of times putting up a cool and collected front despite his inner struggles or current stresses.

He loves animals of all shapes and sizes, though has a certain fondness for birds, though he was never able to own one as a pet. The time he spent in his early years on his family's farm gifted him the knowledge and experience to be able to care for a wide variety of animals, which he enjoyed very much.

His time being picked on as a child and even hard-core tortured as an adult exposed Vivek to an onslaught of various unpleasantness. His near-perfect memory allows him to relive the moments, over and over again if he needs to in order to gain information as to how to execute the same rituals if need be. He absolutely distastes himself for having such a knowledge of torture, but has found himself in a situation or two where it was absolutely necessary. Though he is not beyond simply shutting himself away afterwards and sobbing his emotional pain away, praying repeatedly for forgiveness. He feels that his soul has been corrupted too much to have a fruitful afterlife, but that does not stop him from wanting to continuously do good unto others.

In his more quiet moments, when not hitting the books or writing thesis papers, Vivek can be caught with a pencil in hand and sketching graphite drawings in great detail on whatever piece of paper he can find. His drawings can be seen in various places in around the Welcome Center of Rapture. His favored style is black and white realism and usually depicts either animals or people.

Vivek, despite his somewhat hardened physical appearance (mostly because of his skin color and racial stereotypes) has an exceptionally soft heart and a deep respect for human life. If ever faced with a decision to kill someone who has done wrong, no matter the extremities, Vivek will always seek an alternative solution, even if he knows that person will one day come back and harm someone else. His mind always takes them to the feelings of loved ones, unable to rob a father from a child, or a sister from a brother. He is a firm believer of second chances, and thirds, and fourths...

He is no leader type, preferring to stay along the sidelines and watch rather than engage in an important, ongoing conversation (unless it pertains to science or other fields he is proficient in, in which case he would quietly bring up a suggestion). He is quiet in speech and short with his words, much preferring the solace of his own mind to a room full of loud, talkative friends.

Biography:
Vivek was born the first child into a small, farming family in Chennai, India. A few years later, his sister Rashmi was born and their little family was complete. The children were taught at a very young age how to work on their family's farm. Vivek was given the more manual labored tasks on the farm, which quickly put muscle onto the otherwise scrawny kid, helping to shape him into a healthy, muscular teenager. He was not like the other boys at his school, however, and despite his toned body, often time was bullied, harassed, and even sexually hazed. Vivek's reserved personality, hating the idea of confrontation and not quite sure how to stand up for himself, simply let it happen. But he remembered. He remembered everything.

Around the time of his sixteenth birthday, Vivek was pouring over his chemistry books, studying with fever as he aimed to be one of the best students in school for promises of a bright future that would take him away from the farm life. It was just a few years after that, that Vivek decided that he wanted to become a Chemistry Teacher at the University of Madras - quite the reputable college located in his very own home city. It kept him from having to stray too far from home and able to keep an eye on his mother who was taking the sudden death of his father very hard. He studied hard, got good grades, and progressively landed himself a Chemistry teaching position at the school.

During these years in his very comfortable life, his younger sister got married and had a child. Not soon after, Vivek became romantically involved with one of the librarians within the city he frequented and had a child of their own - a daughter who they amply named Gita and though they never married, there had always been plans to when things in his life would start to slow down.

There was the Insurgency in Northeast India, as well as the Naxalite-Maoist Insurgency, the Bangladesh Liberation War and Indo-Pakistani Wars. India saw war from all sides and Vivek felt that he could assist at least in some way. Not exactly physical, he wanted to help with his mind and ideas, and enlisted in the military to be of some use. As it turned out, there was a severe need of learned scientists stationed within the United States. Unable to ignore the call in something he knew he would be able to help in, Vivek said his temporary goodbyes to his family, girlfriend and daughter included, and traveled to America to put in his expertise for the matter at hand. He joined the team, and though he mostly spent his time by giving them his mind, he did spend a little of it going out on the field with them and being involved in a more physical sense from time to time.

It was a long three years, and Vivek missed his family terribly though he did all that he could to stay in touch and ensure that they were safe which helped to ease his mind. Finally, Vivek returned home despite his new friends pleading for him to stay, but Vivek wanted- no, needed to be home with his family and return to his job.

Life resumed and Vivek, once more a Chemistry Professor, extended what he learned and helped those out within his small town, working behind the scenes to ensure that everyone was safe and happy.

A couple of years later, Vivek was approached by his officer, asking him once more for his help. Not able to say no, Vivek once more left his home to aid those he had helped during the still on-going wars and once again offered up his mind and skills for the greater good. However, only a single year passed before Vivek received a letter from home and abruptly left without a word to anyone. He was in such a hurry that he left the left the letter behind, and those who read it would have understood that his girlfriend, the mother of his child, inexplicably left without a word, leaving his daughter to the streets who was later found by his mother.

When Vivek got home, he learned that while Gita was on her own for the week or so before his mother took her home, she picked up a deadly blood disease and was forced to watch as she slowly succumbed to death. No amount of research or experimenting he did could have saved her, but not once did he give up until the moment her last breath passed her lips.

His heart no longer in teaching, Vivek sold his home and packed up what little belongings that meant the most to him (namely things that reminded him of Gita). His plan was to return to America and give the rest of his life to India's military cause, however once arriving, his station was being moved to London, as the tides of war had shifted, and needed him there instead. He had no objections.

He wished he stayed in America.

The plane crashed, landing him in the cold, black ocean in the middle of the night. He had no idea how he even managed to survive, but he did. He spotted a lighthouse not too far from where the plane crashed, finding that there had only been one other survivor after the whole ordeal - a man by the name of Jack. They hardly had time to exchange names and check over their wounds before Vivek found himself following Jack's lead into the lighthouse which, upon immediate impressions, led Vivek to believe that the lighthouse was far from normal. And he was right.

It was ancient and looked abandoned, but running on some kind of emergency electrical source that lit up their way as they stepped further into it. Stairs led them down, down, down... there was an elevator. Figuring it would take them up, Jack pulled the lever, but it descended the pair 18 fathoms. An old-fashioned projector-style movie started playing as the elevator stopped, but the doors would not open until it played through. A man by the name of Andrew Ryan spoke, talking about building a city free from the restrictions that most of modern society followed. And what Vivek saw next he wouldn't believe until much later. The elevator broke free, going along a sort of railing system underwater where he could see not only squid and whales and other sea life, but an entire submerged city. It was impossible, and yet... it was.

The elevator railed into the station after the brief city tour. There were voices, alarmed that the elevator was coming up. A man was on the other side, shirking in fear from... something. Another... human wasn't the right word, but it killed the man right in front of them, still encased in the elevator. Trapped. The thing tried getting at them by means of ripping the elevator apart, but eventually gave up. Another voice was heard through the radio in the system, a man that called himself Atlas who resided in the city which he called Rapture. He somehow remotely unlocked the elevator door, and guided Jack and Vivek through the bowels of the city, doing what he could to warn and teach them about life in Rapture, and its dangers. They were attacked on multiple occasions by what Atlas called "Splicers." But they survived, though it wasn't from a lack of absolute terror and having to trust one another.

What really tipped Vivek over the edge was when Ryan picked up a syringe at a station that advertised Plasmids. As a scientist, Vivek knew nothing good could come from it, but was unable to convince Jack to leave it alone. Jack injected himself with the liquid, and Vivek watched in horror as Jack's entire DNA code was rewritten. Jack blacked out, toppling over the balcony to the ground floor where more splicers were coming, and Vivek was forced to hide. The splicers (and Vivek) heard a machine-like roar, and left Jack alone. A rather small child and huge scuba-diver looking man went to investigate Jack, but also left him be once the small girl realized he was still alive. Vivek ran to his aid as soon as they were gone, waking Jack up.

Jack used his new-found powers of electricity to power an electric door that would have otherwise been rendered as broken. Jack tried telling Vivek time and time again to pick a Plasmid, that it could be useful and that he was completely fine, but Vivek refused. He didn't like it - he didn't like any of this one bit. He wanted to turn around, to try and go back the way they came. But Jack convinced him to go with him a little further. The door opened, and part of the plane shrapnel broke through the glass tunnel that served as a hallway, separating them from the thousands of pounds of pressure of ocean. They made it through, wet, and sealed off the door, continuing to try to get to higher ground.

More splicers awaited them, though Jack had a pretty good handle on his unnatural ability, taking care of most of them with a quick electric shock. There was another elevator, and the two took it up. Up meant closer to the surface, so Vivek complied. But then Atlas came back on the radio, claiming that his family was being held in Rapture, and that he wanted them to find them for him because Andrew Ryan had him locked in a room. Something wasn't sitting right with Vivek, but Jack was all too eager to play the hero. Arguments started, especially when Atlas let them know what Plasmids had done to Rapture, and why it was the way it was. Plasmids destroyed everything - twisted the minds of men and made them all monsters. In Vivek's opinion, it was only a matter of time before the same happened to Jack. And Vivek didn't want to be around to see it.

Atlas told them more about the small girl and the scuba diver - little sisters and big daddy's... apparently they worked together. The girls (as there were more than just the one) harvested Adam from corpses, and the big daddies protected them from the Splicers. It was horrific, and yet incredibly fascinating. Atlas and Jack both had the idea that the little sisters were bad news, and should be harvested, but Vivek saw things differently. He saw those little sisters, and couldn't help but to think of his own, deceased daughter. Gita... his heart ached, distracting him long enough to simply keep quiet and follow Jack's lead.

They continued to fight for their lives, the Splicers just wouldn't stop coming for them. Vivek wasn't much of a fighter but when his own life was at stake, he learned very quickly.

Atlas told them to head to the medical center where they would be safe(er) and after following Jack just a little bit further, he had decided that he had gone far enough. But just as soon as he was ready to turn around, they got trapped in a small, square room where another old-time video played for them to view - another message from Andrew Ryan. Andrew was convinced that the two of them were spies looking to extort information about Rapture. The thing was, Vivek wasn't sure if it was just an old video playing, or Andrew Ryan himself. Everything seemed so old fashioned, at least twenty years in the past... But Vivek put his foot down.

He left Jack at the entrance to the medical center. He was going to go back. He wanted no part in what was forward. There had to be a way to get a signal out to the world with all the equipment and parts he saw... and maybe, just maybe, he could get that original elevator to work to take him back to the lighthouse...

Personality:
♦ Cheerful ♦ Open to all ideas ♦ introvert ♦ Passionate ♦ Bit of a daredevil ♦ Combatant ♦

Jordan can be a confusing individual. She is often open and cheerful, but more often than not, she is morose and keeps to herself. However, she prefers to look at life as a canvas she can make her own. A rather aesthetic individual, she is keen on design, and her choices and actions pushes her to the limits of social convention. She enjoys upsetting traditional expectations with experiments in beauty and behaviour, her favourite expression is "Don't box me in!" and she will often rebel against any limitations placed on her. Which often leaves her at odds with her parents.

While her family might not be happy with who she is, Jordan is. She is colourful, and sensual, inspired by connections with others and ideas. She takes joy in reinterpreting these ideas, reinventing and experimenting with both herself and new perspectives. She often creates a sense of spontaneity, making her seem unpredictable even to those she is close with.

Despite this, Jordan is definitely an introvert, surprising her friends further when she steps out of the spotlight to be by herself, simply to recharge. Yet just because she is alone though doesn't mean she sits idle- she takes this time for introspection, assessing her principles and thinking who she is. Often from these retreats she returns transformed, seeing things in a different way, and finds herself utterly inspired.

Jordan likes to find ways to push her passions, riskier behaviours like gambling and extreme sports are something she enjoys doing and fortunately for her, her attunement to the moment and her environment allows her to do better than most.

She enjoys connecting with others and does have a certain irresistible charm. However, if a criticism does get through, it can end poorly. She can handle kindly phrased commentary, valuing it as another perspective to help push her passions in a new direction. However if the comments are more biting and less mature, she can lose her temper in a spectacular fashion.

Because of this, she is sensitive to others feelings and value's harmony. When faced with criticism, it can be a challenge for her to step away from the moment long enough to not get caught up in the heat of the moment. But living in the moment goes both ways and once the heightened emotions of an argument cool, she can usually call the past the past and move on as though it never occurred.

The biggest problem for Jordan is planning for the future. Finding constructive ideals to base her goals on and working out goals that create positive principles is no small task for her. She plans her actions and behaviours as contributions to a sense of identity, building a portfolio of experiences and not stocks. If these goals and principles are noble, she can act with amazing charity and selflessness, but it can also happen that she establishes a more centred identity, acting with selfishness, manipulation and egoism.

Biography:
Born to the "perfect" couple, Jordan was treated well, but more like a prize, never really like a baby.
Held at arms length by both her parents, Madison grew up thinking her live in nanny was her mother, until she was old enough to understand that the cold woman who ordered her "mother" about was it.

She grew up a little rebellious, fighting her parents every step of the way as she grew up, wanting to ruin their "perfect" little world. This only grew stronger as she decided she wanted to go into design. Their daughter was not going to serve others. So she ran away from home, and worked for three years, until she had enough money to relocate, and go to college.

She boarded the plane to London, and never looked back.

Personal Information

Personality:
♦ Quick-Witted ♦ Creative ♦ Incredibly Intelligent ♦ Confident ♦ Patient ♦ Motivated ♦ Resourceful ♦

Being an adept businessman, Cyrus developed a handful of personality traits that eventually became him, rather than growing into the personality traits he had already been given at birth. He learned very quickly what it meant to sink or swim, and developed his mind to think both quickly and creatively to keep himself ahead of the game. He also learned that it was important to make himself look better than others, as they would be competition for his business, and practiced a few less than favorable techniques to ensure his position and title.

He is confident; perhaps overconfident in some cases but Cyrus has a great number of various working experience he feels that he is entitled to it. He doesn’t likely take advice from others and will stop at nothing to ensure that his goals are achieved. He’s the type of guy that had a 5, 10, 15 and even 20 year plan entirely mapped out for him that he follows to the T. He does not stray very far from the golden path and doesn’t do very well with change.

Though useless in a fist-to-fist kind of fight, Cyrus’ silver tongue, intellect and exposure to different connections make him every bit as powerful as someone with brute force; perhaps even just a little bit more. He is resourceful by means of outsourcing his funds to other people to see that the “grunt work" is done for him, dictating a more “behind the scenes” alternation.

He thinks very highly of himself and hasn’t been knocked down a single peg in many, many years. It is said that if ever faced with a true emergency, he wouldn’t know what to do and just might implode from being cut off from his sources.

Biography:
If society had its way, Cyrus was born to fail.

Cyrus never knew his father, and was raised a bastard by his mother who struggled to keep food on the table despite working three different jobs. They had a large family, but Cyrus never really met any of them, as they all seemed to just want to be left alone. Things got a little better when Cyrus grew up enough to help out financially by getting his own job at the age of ten as a paperboy. He noticed immediately the changes in his lifestyle and saw just how much better things could be with money. He was hooked.

During high school, Cyrus took on as much as he possibly could by taking college-level business classes and working retail at a chain store. It was slow-going and took a lot of work, but Cyrus persevered and moved up in the ranks until he was one of five different managers within the building by the time he graduated. This advancement wasn’t enough, however, as he still felt unfulfilled. He eventually moved from New York where he was born and finished college in Washington DC where he also got an internship at a law firm. He hadn’t studied law before, but someone had to keep the books. And Cyrus did very well at it.

He did so well, in fact, that by the time he officially graduated college with a doctorates degree in business, he went on to create his own business which exploded with success and constant expansions.

Eventually, Cyrus created a side-project with his company, doing a little research on a particular plane crash back in 1980 that seemed to have put his family on the poverty streak in the first place. One name kept getting thrown out with utter hatred - an ancestor by the name of Andrew Ryan. Cyrus knew very little after that, and made it his life’s work to investigate more. Perhaps more personally.

It seemed that each step closer to discovering something was one huge step back for his company. Branches had to start closing, and by the time that Cyrus was ready to do away the the project altogether, it was too late. Next thing he knew, he was filing for bankruptcy and his marriage suffered possibly worse than he did. When the money stopped coming home, the wife found the company of his cousin to be more satisfying.

Knowing that he had already thrown in his money, heart and soul into the project, figuring that there was nothing left for him to chance anyway, Cyrus spent every last penny he owned to purchase a plane ticket...

Isaura Reese Eldars

Location: Flight BAW229; Los Angeles to London.
Interacting With: Theodore Colbeck (@Caits), and Emily Colbeck.

“Em, don’t run..!”

A soft and gentle sigh falling out past her soft pink lips, Isaura smiled softly, her head shaking lightly from side to side as she watched after the young girl, making sure that she wasn’t going to hurt herself in any way as she hurried back to where they were sitting… to where her amazing and ever loving older brother was waiting for their return. This was it… it was finally happening; they were finally on their way..! London, England- the very first stop on their big trip. It was their first real trip together; their first real trip as a family… and truly, that meant everything to her.

Lifting her hand up, she gently brushed some stray strands of her long dark hair back and off her face, neatly tucking them back and behind her ear as she shot a glance around- it wasn’t her first time on a plane; and she was damn sure it wasn’t going to be her last either. She loved travelling… always had; and the fact that she had managed to find someone who shared that same love, that same passion was more than she could have ever asked for. Her arms coming up on either side of her body, she let her fingers brush lightly over the corners of the seats that she passed them by, her footsteps careful as she began to make her way back to her seat, her smile seeming to grow the very moment she caught sight of her boyfriend and his sister sitting and watching a movie together.

Gods he was perfect… they both were… and she was beyond lucky to have them both in her life.

“..Theo, mind getting up so I ca-...”

Stumbling slightly, she reached out, her hands gripping tightly to the back of his seat and the seat on the opposite side of the aisle as she did all she could to keep her balance through the small bout of turbulence. Once… twice… three times… As the fourth bout came around, both longer and stronger than the ones before it, Isaura frowned, her nails digging into the material covering the cushions and her feet fumbling about underneath her as she did what she could to keep her balance, waiting for the moment when it would be safe enough for her to let go, and to return to the safety of her seat by the window- and that was when she heard it…

The creaking… the groaning… A flitter of worry spreading through her being, she slowly began to lift her head, her soft pink lips parting ever so slightly from one another as her gaze was drawn up and to the overheads- the rattling… she could see it. The luggage that was held within pushing against them rather violently, the compartments threatening to burst open, and to shower them in the very things they had filled them with before the flight had even begun.

“..T-Theo…” Her voice was soft, though very quickly overshadowed by a loud explosion, the ear-shattering sound ripping through the plane causing her to fly backwards, her back arching and a pain shooting through it as she was smashed against the seats behind her, the sudden lurch causing her head to whip back with the motion. Her ears were ringing… the loud buzz clouding her mind as she slowly drew herself back to the present- her head… her neck… her back… they were all hurting worse than they ever had before, but she couldn’t let that stop her; she had to get back to them… she had to get back to Theodore…

Scrunching her face up as the pain shot through her person, Isaura pushed herself back up as best as she could, the flash of yellow swaying back and forth from above them letting her know that the oxygen masks had deployed; she had to reach them… Theodore… Emily… she had to make sure that they were okay. Shooting her arm out in front of her, she reached towards him, the panic and fear behind her eyes clear as the shrill screech of metal filled the cabin, causing the plane to once more jolt, and the next thing she knew, she was on the ground, her body curling and her arms lifting up to cover her head as the overheads began to burst open, showering her with luggage.

Slowly lifting her head as she no longer felt heavy items colliding with her body, Isaura pushed herself up, her gaze flicking about wildly for a few moments before eventually, the familiar sight of her own bag caught her eye causing her to instinctively reach out and grab it up before she flung it over her neck, letting it rest on her back as she once more rose to her feet, struggling against the cluttered aisle on her way back to where Theodore and Emily were still sitting safely within their seats. Things were bad… the worst possible scenario- the plane was going down, and them along with it, that much was more than clear, but as long as those two were alright-...

That was all that mattered to her…

“..Theodore..!?” Reaching her arm out in front of her, Isaura scrunched up her face, her body fighting against the angle the plane had leant at as she struggled to reach him, the very tips of her fingers brushing lightly against his before it was gone, her body once more thrown, however this time, she knew it was the end, the tears sparkling behind her eyes as she shot one last look at him as she was pulled back, ripped from the plane as it tore apart, causing her words to be lost within the noise and the rush of air as she fell towards the dark abyss of the ocean below.
