Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

"Ah?"

Fanilly, clutching her dress shirt, glanced over her shoulder when she heard the door open... and almost immediately used it as a shield to cover herself and turned to face her former mentor. Her cheeks red, she hesitated for a few moments before looking away. Ah, not only did she sleep in too late, but she was walked in on during such an awkward time... it was somewhat shameful. She's the Captain of the Iron Roses, and yet this...

"... N... no, it's fine... I slept in too late anyway..." the blonde girl mumbled, almost to herself, though it was not entirely inaudible. She shifted where she stood, nervously. She slept in late, and now this happened... this had not been the best start, to say the least. Not one bit. Still, she would have to make the most of the day... thus far, there had not been any word sent to the Roses of some sort of new crisis requiring their attention. No, instead, it seemed as if Thaln had fallen into a few days of relatively tranquility, where any problems were easily dealt with by the local soldiery.

For now.

I'll get something up possibly today but most likely tomorrow!
Mordred, Tokyo

It was a very strange sensation, deeply unlike that of being summoned, and yet it felt somehow familiar.

The blonde-haired, armored girl, though she would have been quite unhappy to be referred to as such, suddenly found herself in a situation entirely unfamiliar. She was no longer in the air-conditioned halls of Chaldea, wearing her armor only because she felt like sparring(she wasn't in the best of moods already, to be frank). No, this was some... park? Somewhere? Where the hell was it.

Mordred Pendragon, the self-proclaimed greatest knight, stared at her surroundings. This wasn't Chaldea. This wasn't Chaldea at all. This was some park. Why the hell was she in some park?

"What the hell is this?!" the blonde knight snapped, angrily turning on her heel to look about. There was no-one except some lady over by a playground and... and him.

Mordred folded her arms.

"Oh, so you're here too?" she asked, with a glare, as she stared down at her fellow Servant. Hans Christian Andersen, an ally as a Servant who was also summoned by their Master, and yet... "I'm surprised you're not trying to drink yourself into a drunken stupor already or something. Hmph. What the hell is this?! Some kind of mini-singularity or something?!"

Angrily, Mordred spun on her heel as she looked about once more. It was just... it looked like a park in some modern city or something. The signs were... Japanese? Naturally, as a Servant, she had been gifted with the knowledge to speak Japanese on being summoned by a Japanese Master, but this wasn't exactly a familiar situation.

It was only now that the Saber-class Servant realized something terrible. Wherever they had ended up...

The contract with their Master was no longer present. The moment this realization came to her, the blonde-haired girl staggered, sudden weakness filtering through her frame. In a shower of red sparks her armor seemed to simply vanish, leaving her in nothing more then the tube top and shorts she'd been wearing prior to calling her armor.

"Y-you're kidding..." she shuddered as she fell to her knees. "L-like hell I'm just going to fade away...!"

And yet, without a contract, something to hold her here until she could reunite with her Master, Mordred could not maintain a physical form or a presence in the world. Her body was already beginning to fade at the tips of her fingers, as her strength drained and she fell forward onto all fours.

... No, she wasn't going to... she couldn't just allow herself to fade away, she had to get back to her Master... no self-respecting Knight would let it end with this!

Moriya Suwako, New York

Perhaps Leo wasn't entire correct when he said there was no-one otherworldy around. Though in fairness, the one in question was perhaps not one of the most unusual and otherworldly individuals, a little blonde girl hardly being out of the ordinary, the hat bearing a large pair of blinking eyes would likely draw some kind of attention.

Moriya Suwako wasn't quite sure where she'd ended up. But, as she was wont to do, she took it in stride. There was a lot of people around here, and it certainly looked like neither Gensokyo or the outside world... at least, not the outside world she was familiar with. It didn't look like Japan prior to her relocation to Gensokyo, that was for sure. What she did immediately gravitate towards, however, was the smell of something fried... moments later, the tiny girl became acutely aware of the grumbling in her own stomach. Certainly, perhaps she could convince whoever possessed it to make an offering? Sanae wasn't here to make dinner... or was she. Was she?

"Sanae-chaaaan, make dinner!" called Suwako. There was no response, and it likely wasn't audible over the sound of the crowds. So that was most likely a no, wasn't it? And so, instead, the girl followed her nose.

It led her to a boy, with brown hair, and... some kind of... little monkey? It was a little monkey. But the more importantly he was clutching a bag filled with something that smelled heavily of fried food. The blonde goddess could therefore assume it was indeed fried food. Arms held out at her sides, Suwako immediately made a beeline for him.

"Ooooh, what's that in the bag?" she asked, not even attempting to make an introduction before she asked about getting a meal, "Are you going to eat it all? Do you want to make an offering?"

@Rin: I'm playing Arturia already! Soon enough I'll be playing her in two RPs!
Need to figure out what I'm doing exactly!
The Nasuverse, and Fate in particular, is one of my favorite franchises overall(the original VN being one of my favorite pieces of media ever with /zero and UBW... also being some of my favorite pieces of media ever).

... I really like Fate. Especially right now my Fate hype train is super... hype... y.
  • Name: Moriya Suwako
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: "Hula hoops!"
  • Personality: At first glance, and indeed after many repeated glances, it can appear that Suwako is a cheerful, energetic child with a penchant for mischief and a competitive streak. This isn't exactly a lie, Suwako has a rather cheerful and carefree nature, a great deal of energy, and is rather fond of making mischief and greatly enjoys competition. In fact, she is so fond of competition that she enjoys fighting for that very reason. It would be foolish, however, to dismiss her as a child. Beneath that childish immaturity and cheer, Suwako is nevertheless still a goddess, and not a weak one at that. She is highly intelligent and crafty, and in spite of being a gracious loser that does not mean she will not simply give up if she believes she has a chance at victory. Her childishness and immaturity is not entirely an act, but at the same time it is an excellent cover if she wants to trick others into taking her anything less then seriously. She is very laid back and prefers to simply do everything that she enjoys without doing anything particularly unpleasant. She is slow to anger and quite friendly and nice to others, but when she becomes sufficiently angry it can be said that her behavior is absolutely terrifying, and reminds others that she is indeed a powerful goddess. Of course, Suwako is also very fond of frogs.
  • Brief History: There is little to explain about Moriya Suwako's history. At some point, she had a child(likely not while appearing as she currently does), but beyond that the most notable moments in her life were when she was defeated by Yasaka Kanako in battle(her weapons rusted away) and moving to Gensokyo with Kanako and Sanae.
  • Universe of Origin: Touhou Project
  • Equipment: Suwako has her spell cards and her rings, as well as her all-important hat.
  • Abilities: As a shinto goddess, Suwako is capable of regenerating her body from harm, splitting herself into multiple copies, and changing her appearance(though she asserts her current appearance is 'true'). She possesses numerous abilities related to the earth and water, such as swimming through the earth, summoning small amounts of magma, creating and directing water, creating geysers, and hurling rocks and minerals. She is also capable of dulling her attacks via the spell card system, rendering them nonlethal. Suwako is capable of flight, and also of summoning and commanding the Mishaguji, curse gods in the form of enormous serpents that can attack her enemies with their bodies or with curses in the form of projectiles.

But he's not part of the loli squad. He is part of team older-then-they-look though.
I'm trying to pick a loli to add to the "older-then-they-look" loli squad as a second character.

I was trying to pick a blonde loli to emphasize squad ties even further but that's proven too hard.
  • Name: Mordred Pendragon, also known as Saber
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: "There's nobody stronger!"
  • Personality: Mordred is a surly, arrogant, and supremely violent individual with a massive amount of personal issues. She's got an extremely short temper and, in spite of her insistence about her knighthood and heirdom to the throne, a tendency to kick, punch, and even bite if she feels she must in a fight. In battle and indeed in all matters, she is also insistent Mordred loves battle, the more violent and intense the better, and shows absolutely no mercy to her opponents. Indeed, she is seemingly utterly without mercy. It may be surprising to some, then, that Mordred absolutely refuses to involve innocent civilians, will take no actions that could harm them, and will even do her best to defend them. In spite of how violent, rude, and arrogant she is, indeed it can be said that there are some traits of the blonde girl that can be considered knightly. Speaking of which, while Mordred has no issue with others knowing she is female, she utterly loathes being treated as girl. No matter who it is, no matter what the situation, she will immediately threaten anyone who calls her a girl with violence with absolutely no hesitation. At the same time, calling her a boy is likely to earn the same reaction. On the subject of her 'father', it can be said that Mordred outwardly hates her, but deeper down her feelings are far more confused. Mordred at once admires and loves King Arthur, but also despises and resents her in the same breath. She will not take praise of 'Father' well, but she will also become angry if 'Father' is insulted. She will take any chance she gets to wear something other then her armor, though she is also not a fan of anything overtly girly. She prefers shorts, tank tops, tube tops, jackets, and basically anything comfortable and easy to wear. She also greatly enjoys eating. She is also a rather immature, childish individual, prone to distractions and complaining.
  • Brief History: The Legendary Traitor Knight of the Round Table and illegitimate child to King Arthur, Mordred's role in history has forever ingrained itself in public knowledge as the name of one of the most well-known traitors in the world. And yet, deep down, all Mordred desired in spite of her outward hatred was the acceptance and approval of her 'Father'. Even as she died, even after she struck the King with a mortal blow, Mordred reached out weakly asking for her. But her life left her soul to be preserved as a Heroic Spirit in the Throne of Heroes, and eventually she was summoned not once, but twice. The second time left her in a situation she couldn't deny she enjoyed. Her 'Father' was there, in Chaldea, but regardless, Mordred took a liking to their Master and feels this situation certainly isn't bad. She has the same Master as a certain author.
  • Universe of Origin: The Nasuverse
  • Equipment: Mordred is equipped with two notable pieces of equipment: Her armor and helmet, and her sword, Clarent. Her helmet is known as Secret of Pedigree, a Noble Phantasm that prevents her identity from being discerned and any of her parameters from being recognized. If she has any excuse to remove it, however, she will. Her armor is extremely durable and strong, but also uncomfortable, and she is quick to take any chance she has to remove it as well.
Clarent, however, is a powerful sword in its own right. It is a strong, sharp weapon capable of quickly cutting through her enemies, but it possesses a key capability in channeling prana, allowing her to fire beams from the weapon. The strongest of these is an Anti-Fortress attack known as Clarent Blood Arthur, channeling her rage and prana into a devastating destructive blast. She will not use this if there is a chance of collateral damage against innocent people.
  • Abilities: Mordred boasts a high rank of Magic Resistance, though it is not the top level and thus she is not invulnerable to all forms of magic, only a fairly high percentage of them. Her rank in Riding allows her to master any vehicles with ease, though magical beasts fall out of the realm of her capability. She can recognize attacks and openings via instinctive action, and while she is violent and intense it cannot be said she does not display skill with a sword. She can also survive serious injuries via her Battle Continuation skill, and as a Servant mundane forms of damage must be incredibly strong in order to damage her. She is fast and strong, bolstered by her ability known as Prana Burst, which imbues her body with reinforcing magical energy. Indeed, Mordred is incredibly strong and powerful, but at the same time she still fails to reach the level of her 'Father' as a Saber-class Servant and as a knight, in spite of her claims to the contrary.
