Aline didn't quite share Feuertanz's apparent optimism about leaving Sabiland, the idea of being so far from anything she knew sent chills down her spine. Yet, she was surprised to find that was all it did. A somber realization that the thought of "Home" felt almost foreign to her at this point. In the end she attempted to shake the thought off, not wanting it to kill what little courage she had left.

As Feuertanz began to pray, Alina too bowed her head. Though not familiar with it, something about the prayer comforted her. Perhaps memories from when she was home. Or maybe more simply the fact that the Pokemon saying them had, in the few minutes after they met, acted nicer toward her than anyone else had in months. Whatever it may have been, she quickly followed as they began to leave, instinctively walking at the back of the group.
Alina felt uneasy as she listened to Lusser's words, understanding the truth behind them as much as she hated it. With a silent nod of sad agreement, her eyes drifted back to Feuertanz. Who, giving her that same reassuring smile, helped Alina again regain her own. At his mention not being without defense, Alina couldn't help but shift slightly, knowing she was no part of that 'defense'. Yet she kept her smile this time, getting a feeling that if nothing else, the Pokemon around her could handle themselves in a fight. As for herself, she only hoped she could prove useful in some other capacity. So, for now she quietly listened, sharing Erion's curiosity about when they would be moving out.
Alina was a tad stunned when Feuertanz moved to hand her the small Golden Candelabra. Actually dropping the flyer this time as she found herself cupping in in both hands, her previous 'wishful' thought being thoroughly dismantled. Holding it close and admiring the detail. She looked back up to Feuertanz and tried to say something, but as soon as she began to open her mouth her faced felt as if it turned red enough to be mistaken for some kind of shiny Pokemon. Thus she settled on nodding with a shy smile. Before giving the Candelabra a 'closer look' as she momentarily buried her face in her hands.

Calming herself to a slightly more manageable level, Alina looked over the chain while the others spoke. Unable to just slide it on despite the size difference, she found the clasp holding it together and clipped it on around her neck. Making certain it would lay on top of a softer part of her armor so as to not risk damaging it. She did slow down however, when both Feuertanz and Erion each demonstrated their own magics, her expression showing a clear amazement of their abilities. Once she and they had finished, she found her mouth was willing to work with her again and tried to speak up. "I hope we don't have to fight. I mean, we shouldn't right? If it's just ruins..." She added in, nervously glancing down to the sword she was forced to call her weapon.
@lavulman I was debating whether to wait for you or not earlier. But since I found myself with nothing to do I'm finishing up a post now. Not that it massively matters who goes next at the moment.
While Alina refrained from backing off, she appeared to just stop moving as Feuertanz put his arm around her. Having absolutely no clue how to react and almost dropping the flyer in surprise. Even still, she couldn't help but find herself leaning into it. The surprising warmth emanating from him as she stood beside her helping keep her at ease. With a brief and slightly wishful thought floating through her mind that perhaps he simply noticed she had little protection from the cold, and wanted to help her warm up. Though she soon found herself rapidly turning a deep red as he complimented her, suddenly finding the ground the most interesting looking thing in the world when he called her 'beautiful'. Nevertheless, if his hope was to calm her it worked, and she couldn't help but smile in response.

She weakly accepted his handshake after he had slid back, more so just grabbing his hand than shaking in return. "O-Ok... Thank you." She mumbled, with her head still down she only barely kept eye contact before pulling away. Now letting the hand holding the flyer hang at her side. She gave a quick glance to the Espurr and Bagon, however this only proved to turn her face further red, so she quickly returned her gaze to the ground. As they introduced themselves, she did raise her head up a tad again. Trying to respectfully keep her focus at least somewhat on them. Although the smile she had gained did momentarily falter at the mentions of a poisoning and fighting.
Nearby, her leather armor barely shielding her from the cold, Alina fumbled nervously with the flyer in her hands. Having spotted the Quilava she had been instructed to meet, as well as a Bagon that appeared to be doing the same. She gave the flyer one last look over, but this only proved to make her more nervous. Having reinforced the fact that she had no idea what any of it meant and had only her commander's instructions to go by. As she approached, her eyes fell upon the Mark of Anhara on the Quilava's chest, which gave her a bit more confidence in what she was doing. Once she was noticed by him however, her nerves got the better of her again and she hid her face behind the flyer.

Slowly lifting her face up, she tried to remember how to talk again. Avoiding glancing to the stern looking Bagon beside her lest she completely freeze up from that, not that the frigid morning air hadn't almost done so already. "U-um, hello. M-my name's Alina" She began to stutter, weakly holding the flyer out to the Quilava. "My commander saw this and, um, and he told me...Told me to come with you on your expedition. He said I'd be more useful with you than I would be here-" Her sentence trailed off into silence as she tried to keep eye contact, resisting the urge to just stare down at the ground.

Alina, Kirlia, Female

Personality: Kind, easygoing, but meek and easily frightened.

Motivation: To find home again.

Biography: Alina spent the majority of her childhood in uneventful peace. Her family being Tailors in Sabi, they lived in a small town nearby the Rhine. The second child after her brother, she began helping out as soon as she was able. Her skills grew quickly at such a young age, enough that she was able to do some basic tasks alone by the time a sister came around.

Of course, it didn't last forever. One day, rumors began spreading of Moere marching onto Sabi lands, and what only felt like a day later. The people of her town woke up to a Platoon marching through their streets, or in some frightening cases to a soldier forcing their way into a home to ensure the people inside heard the Lieutenants speech. It was fairly straightforward, though the few townsfolk who attempted to flee or resist were publicly punished, rather harshly, for it.
Unfortunately, one of the demands was that all Pokemon of certain ages were to be taken away, with little explanation why. This of course, was not without it's own resistance, but like before it was all quickly and publicly silenced. As this happened Alina, being of the age, began to break down, clinging to her mother in tears and not even noticing as a soldier approached them. They didn't have need for force, but only gave her a few seconds for a goodbye before grabbing her arm and pulling her away.

Within a Day, Alina found herself in a camp a fair distance away from her home. The Pokemon that had been taken alongside her were separated, and she was thrown, alone, into a guarded tent filled with other Pokemon about her age for the night. She simply shrank back into a corner until morning, trying to avoid bawling her eyes out again to get some semblance of a rest, though a lack of food proved enough to prevent that anyway. As the sun rose, the entire tent was loudly shocked awake by a small group of guards and forced outside to a small courtyard. The yelling and sudden orders succeeding in breaking Alina's resolve further, she soon found herself in a daze listening to a man giving a commanding speech to the entire group. Explaining, several times over to reinforce the fact, that they had the honor of being a part of Moere's 'glorious' army, and would be receiving appropriate training to match throughout the coming weeks.

It wasn't long before said training began, harsh, with early mornings and late nights. Even through Alina's starvation the food they served tasted horrible and they never had a day of rest. Though she could manage when it came to the various chores and work they were forced into, when it came to actual combat training she could barely stop from panicking and freezing up, let alone actually practice anything. When it came time to spar against each other, Alina wouldn't even touch her opponent, usually ending the day with several new bruises. But even still, she continued, the punishments for those who tried to run keeping her subdued through it all.

Eventually her training concluded. Though still a very poor fighter and terrible under pressure, her few skills outside of combat kept her from the very bottom of the barrel assignments. In the end she was tossed around from team to team as her superiors decided. given to whatever squad was willing to take her or, occasionally, a superior that cared for his image wanting free tailoring. Still she bore through it all, holding on to the hope that she might someday find a safe way out and back home.

Skills/Abilities: Alina's greatest skill is of course her tailoring, able to repair damages, alter dimensions or even create basic designs from scratch. Though the last she may be rusty at, having only reasons to do the first two since she was taken from her family. Her time spent training did also have an affect on her, with basic First Aid and Armor/Equipment usage being a couple of the few things she managed to gain from it. She also knows what she's supposed to do in a fight, though her ability and willingness to is another matter entirely.

Personal Effects: A red and green pendant her mother had given her when she was a young child, and a small sewing kit she had been allowed to keep as her own.

Other: The pendant isn't actually Gardevoirite, it just looks similar.
I'm interested, I've got a number of Characters that would fit perfectly on either side.
