Traveling through the thickness of the wood's wildlife was one of the biggest traveling struggles that Maman Akujo had faced so far. As she continued her rough journey through the forest and towards her destination, beams of sun shone upon her freckled skin, making clear the bruises and cuts that had occurred from hours of tiredly tripping over rocks and roots; attempting to navigate through the heavy fog around her did not aid her either.

She released a sigh filled with exhaustion and looked forward at the reason why she had endured so much with no complaint: the Rosewood, School for the Gifted. It was here that she was to learn how to control and use her powers properly, and at the thought of this, a smile spread across her lips. With renewed energy, the young human stood a bit straighter and marched onwards at a faster pace.

It was not long before she stepped out from the trees and in front of the large building with exhilaration running through her veins and out through her tired breath. Akujo moved forth a single step before suddenly, an unknown figure slashed at her body, causing for her to fall to her knees into the dirt. With some difficulty, she lifted herself from the ground to find herself confronting a dark shade. Seeing at how it was unusual that such a creature decided to attack her at this moment, it was assumed that this was a sort of examination that needed to be passed in order to enter the school. This thought sobered her a bit, but did nothing to ease the throbbing ache of her body.

The shadow figure sprang forth, choosing to advance in a straightforward fashion, and so she adjusted her body into a defensive position. Whilst doing so, she tried to gather her magic and, once the enemy came into her range, increased the force of gravity upon her opponent. Though this didn't have as great an effect as she thought, the speed at which the being charged at her greatly decreased, allowing for her to draw her fist back and punch it as hard as she was capable of.

Her foremost thought was merely to try and harm the creature as best as she could physically, but soon realized that she didn't know anything of its physical composition. Luckily for her, it fell backwards and disintegrated into the atmosphere, and following this was a strange voice whose words boomed throughout the area. The owner of it said, "Congratulations, Maman Akujo. You have successfully completed the final step for your acceptance into Rosewood. Performance rank: C."

The registration of her low ranking did not occur in her brain, for she was simply ecstatic to be accepted into the school of her dreams. The smile that had pervaded her lips crept upon them once more as she walked through the gates and into the complex. The uniquely-eyed female passed by many of her soon-to-be classmates, who, for some reason, had various shades of bruising and scratches that ran about the length of their bodies and whose eyes seemed as tired as hers, if even more so.

Soon enough, she arrived in front of someone who seemed to be the receptionist who greeted her with a cheerful grin upon his facials.

"Why, hello there! Welcome to Rosewood! May I ask for your name, race, class, rank, and electives chosen?"

At first, Akujo stood and stared upwards at the great man, whose height easily dwarfed her own. However, with her brain gently nagging her for staring for a bit too long, she snapped herself from her thoughts and said with as much enthusiasm as she could muster, “Hey! I’m Maman Akujo! I’m a human, with a Gravitin class, I believe. The voice said that my rank is a C, and I decided to choose art and potion-making as my electives.” (continued)
@Crimson Raven Bruh, the one piece quotes you chose are so great.
@avawhat231 Once again, thank you! :D Also, is it possible to post my entry into Rosewood now, or should I wait until the NPC fights finish?
@avawhat231 I think I'll wait until the NPC fights are over, if that's alright. Thank you very much for accepting me! I'm very excited to start!! :D
@Levythelevy@avawhat231 Yeah, that's very true. . If anything, she should start off as a C rank in order to learn the basics and yes, she definitely needs help controlling her magic. Doing that would be best for her. Thanks for helping clear that up!
@Levythelevy haha, yeah! It took a while for me to figure her out myself, but I'm very satisfied with her character now. :D
@avawhat231 Yeah, her crushing weight isn't overly strong yet. It's enough for a person to feel pressure on their bodies when she uses it, but enough for them to move. However, that person has a slight decrease in mobility and strength because of it.
If it's alright, I would like to submit my character into the Rosewood roleplay.

Name: Maman Akujo (Eastern Naming Order)

Class: Gravitin

Race: Human

Appearance:

Her locks of long, dip-dyed hair flutter annoyingly about her face at a consistent rate due to the unrestrained stream of magic that flows about her. Her large yet strangely colored pink optics hold hearts as pupils instead of the usual spheres. Atop of her head sits the large, lavender witch's hat; tied upon it being pink ribbons with green tinting. Her outfit is that of a dancer; a tight leotard stretched across her slightly chubby figure with fluff on the trimming of the limbs. Naturally golden freckles are dotted about her body, accompanied by a tan skin tone. Lastly, to travel to wherever she wishes, she carries a broomstick that is typical of witches that is wrapped in the same sort of ribbons as the hat.

Power Ranking: A

Classes Chosen to Take: Art and Potion Making

Character's Characteristics: With a passion and enthusiasm that rivals that of so many others, Akujo strives to do the best that she can, especially in subjects that she is particularly intrigued by. Though holding the quality of being a hard worker, she can also become very lazy and complacent, somehow managing to convince herself that she needs no improvement. While this trait frustrates her to no end, she does not have the motivation that is required to fix it. Furthermore, she can be easily excited to learn more about whatever crosses her path, but can just as quickly lose interest as well. She loves being able to spend her available time with others, especially with those that allow her to feel free and like herself, and she hates being alone for extended periods of time. However, after becoming seemingly close with people she can consider to be friends, she tends to distance herself a bit due to the fear of attachment.

Backstory: Akujo had been living alongside her mother and father as an only child until the ripe age of thirteen. Once she became that age, her life had seemed to plummet downwards. Her parents fought more often than ever, to the point that they could not stand to be in each other's presence and split; each one living in a separate home. She had been stuck between the two, constantly moving from one house to another in order to spend an equal period of time with the two people that she cared about the most. However, this soon seemed to change in the upcoming year. At the age of fourteen, a demon had come into her father's home, demolished it, and killed her father. the ashes and flames forever burning themselves into her memory. That very demon had also cursed her with the powers of magic, which she could not control and that caused her friends and remaining family to abandon her to her own devices. It is for this reason that she desired beyond all hope to attend school at Rosewood, for learning how to use and control her magic properly, at the moment, was nothing more than a dream.

Main Powers: Though inexperienced in the movement of objects around her, Akujo is able to change the gravity around her from a crushing weight upon one's self to a lightness around a person that allows them more agility and heightened physical capabilities as well. This range of power that she has can extend to about 120 feet due to years of practicing with animals and inanimate objects in the Wilds.
