Apologies, all, but my posting will be slow over the next few days. I'll get to ya as soon as I can, though!

Bio

A bit about me:

I've been roleplaying for 12 years now, though mostly via MMOs. My favorite genre is fantasy, and I usually do MxF or FxF RPs here. I prefer 1x1s, because those are much easier to keep up with. I'm a major anime and manga fan, my favorites being Sword Art Online, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Fruits Basket, in that order. Otherwise, I'm your typical RPer.

I have two sides to me, and they change rather quickly: one's a cute, bubbly fun-lover, while the other is a quiet, serious, say-what-needs-saying type. Both are me, and it makes life very interesting sometimes. ^-^ Maybe I should give them names... More as that develops!

"Ah, right," Sarah said, giggling. "Well, they have tea there as well, so you can get that instead if you like." The thought of someone from Hell faltering at the thought of something as casual as drinking soda just made her giggle. Still, even in what small amount of time they'd been together, Nefas had been less of a terrible, soul-sucking demon and more of a very odd girl with a very open curiosity. Sarah smiled slightly; maybe living with her wouldn't be all that terrible after all.

Still, it was probably unwise to lower one's guard around a demon.

"Here we are," she finally said after a bit more walking. She pulled the door open and held it for Nefas, waving her inside and stepping in after her. The Burger Shop, with its name emblazoned above the doors, was a smaller building than most fast food places, since most of its tables were outside (there was a large tarp that could be pulled out in case of rain). Even so, the inside looked surprisingly well-kept. Richard, one of the managers, was a graduate of Ivy University, so students got a discount. Their menu was displayed above the front counter, offering all kinds of delicious and definitely not nutritious choices. Because it was later afternoon, but not quite supper time, there was only one other person in line.

"See anything in particular you're interested in?" Sarah asked. She always got a chicken sandwich meal with tea, so she already knew what she wanted.
Mara nodded. "Don't worry; I know 'em all." She held up a hand and began counting off on her fingers. "Two teams of three, three rounds total. You gets points by scoring clean hits and knocking your opponents back or off of the platform entirely. The winner is decided at the end of the third round by how many points each team has, or decided automatically if all three members of a team are knocked off the platform in one round." A slightly sinister grin appeared as she stopped dressing for a moment to face Houjin and Ukik. "Personally, I'd much rather we win that way."

"Chill out," Dan told her, giving her shirt a hard tug to throw her off-balance, causing her to give out a strangled "Ack!". "You haven't even played yet. Celebrate winning after you win." Mara turned and stuck her tongue out at him, but remained silent. Once Mara was fully dressed, Dan looked her over critically. "A little baggy in the arms, but it should work." He couldn't help but smirk at her grin; Mara was ecstatic to finally be able to Pro Bend, and Dan was happy for her. She'd wanted this for a long time.

Suddenly, someone knocked and opened the dressing room door. "Five minutes, Badgerfrogs." Then he disappeared.

"Alright, I'm heading for the stands." He gave Mara a quick hug. "Good luck, kid."

"Enjoy the show," she told him, winking. "Come celebrate with us when we win!" Dan shook his head and stepped out, heading to find a seat. Mara turned back to her new teammates. Her new teammates. Her grin just grew wider at the thought. "Alright, guys!" she said, holding out her fist. "Ready to do this thing?"
After a quick scramble to finish her assignment, Sarah was escorting Nefas down the street. Just casually walking to a burger joint with the alleged daughter of Satan. Nothing strange about that, she thought to herself. Only after did she remember that Nefas could read minds (which she still found to be completely unfair) and she made an effort to restrain her thoughts. "This?" she responded. "This is Phoenix City. Nothing too special, I guess; it has just about everything a regular city would have. Specifically, we're on my campus: Ivy University. It's not the best campus, but it's pretty nice. There's a library, a cute coffee shop - oh, we can go there sometime if you still want to try coffee - and a lot of really nice classrooms."

"Where we're going, The Burger Shop, is about fifteen minutes' walks from here," she continued. The Burger Shop was a new chain that had opened just recently, but it was already getting major business. The food was all really cheap, but it tasted amazing - basically a college student's utopia. Sarah didn't go often, but she always enjoyed it when she did. "Hmm... I guess since it's your first time trying any of our food, you should probably just go with a basic combo: a burger, some fries, and a soda. I recommend the Cheerwine," she added with a grin. Cheerwine was her favorite.
Heyo! Just wanted to let you know I'm still around. Stuff's been rough, but I'm still here! And as always, I eagerly look forward to your next post, whenever it may be! =D
Before. =) And you have, but no worries.

Also, sorry for the wait. I'll get a new post up eventually! ^-^;
=D You don't suck at all! ^-^ I'm just glad you're still around. Take your time, and we can do this thing at whatever pace we have to.

Also, just so you know, Phoenix City is a little place of my own making. It's a great city! It's just... usually involved in one form of supernatural activity or another. ;) Call it my Supernatural Stomping Grounds.
Sorry for the wait!
Giddy joy was clear on Mara's face as Ukik placed the pin on her shirt. Dan was smiling too; he was happy for his sister. "Thank you so much!" she said happily. "I swear you won't regret it!" Practically skipping with every step, she eagerly followed the two of them into the arena.

Dan followed as well, but remained close to Mara. "Hey," he muttered, hoping the other two couldn't hear him. "Don't forget what we talked about, alright? I know you know the rules, but knowing and doing are-"

"Would you relax?" she whispered in reply. "I've been practicing for this since I could lift rocks! I'm totally ready!"

Dan sighed. "I'm well aware of that." He had to admit that Mara had definitely put a lot of practice in: he'd often had to pick her up and take her inside because she'd fallen asleep on the makeshift practice field they'd sculpted some years ago. Even so, he was an older brother; it was his God-given job to worry about every little thing that could happen to her. And having large stone disks, balls of fire, and harsh water whips flying at his little sister's face and body was definitely cause for worry.

He shook his head. "Alright, I'll quit nagging. But remember our sparring sessions: aim for the openings, be aware of your weaknesses, and keep a level head." True, a one-on-one sparring session against a non-bender and his sword was very unlike a Pro Bending match, but both of them had kept themselves fit and capable by training, and oftentimes their matches ended in a draw when they fought until they were exhausted.

Mara nodded. "Stop worrying so much. You'll see; I'll blow 'em all away with my technique!"

Dan would have said more, but he knew it wouldn't have made an impact; Mara was in her "too-determined-to-care" mode, and nothing would reach her now. Besides, they'd arrived at the dressing room.
Bump!
