Six let Hay push the limb away, and started ahead again, keeping a bit closer this time--still just slightly in front of Hay, but letting the other man push their speed where he liked it.

Six put a hand on Hay's shoulder, offering a few words of comfort. "He wouldn't be much use to us with his focus on Varus anyway. The three of them will find him faster, and we'll all be grouped back up quicker."

Perhaps a bit hollow--Hay was correct that they were a little less safe without Ryder there, but Six didn't think he would have been much use in the unfocused state he was in. Just another instance of the infiltrator wishing his partner was there, Hark would have been excellent for this kind of guard and guide ... but then, he'd been wishing Hark was there since the first night alone in his new bunk.

Six slowed his pace, keeping slightly ahead of the behemoth and pilot, but still hovering near them. It was ... strange. The Dawn was strange. He didn't have another word for it. He figured once Hark was with him, it'd even out more for the spy--right now he was a green among people he didn't know, doing mission parts that he wasn't used to, and it'd be jolting for anyone. He turned when Hay called for the other, and stopped fully.

"If he wants to go help look for Varus, I s'pose he can. Taerys is quick, she'll be back with us soon enough I'm sure." He cracked a slight grin under his mask that couldn't be seen--but the humour could still be picked up in the shrug of his shoulders, lazy toss of his limbs. "Jack gets mad, just point 'er at me."

If the downtown is like, an easily reachable part of the town by everybody they might just chip in and start duct-taping insulation and pillows and stuff to the walls.

Hmm, maybe the building has a basement that they emptied out? I've never been to a club either, so not actually sure how well that'd insulate the sound out. XD

Maybe an abandoned building downtown? Like, storm took out the windows or something so it just got boarded up and left there?

Six gave a nod to Taerys--he understood her wanting to do this on her own. Something just to get a look around, that was better suited for one person. Even with Hark, they'd periodically split up just for that reason--Six was a good bit smaller than his partner, easier to slip through cracks and corridors with just himself.

He motioned a wave towards Ryder and Hay. "We should follow her from a ways back--not all the way until she gives the word, but get out of the open."
