Bio

Hi all! I'm Gypsy_Lady, but everyone can call me Gypsy for short. I'm a 20 something year old woman, sorry no exact ages, and I've been doing RP's since I was in my early teens.
I love to write, even if sometimes my writing isn't the best as I do have punctuation issues, and sometimes I type faster than my brain can think so I have some spelling issues every once in a while as well, thank goodness I have MS Word for spell checking.
I'm a romantic at heart and so most of my RP's have romance of some sort and at different levels, depending on who I'm RPing with. I also tend to be pretty descriptive with everything I write, sometimes it can be unnecessarily descriptive.

Hey no worries. Get to it when you can, just please keep me updated if you can't get to it by Friday. Thank you for keeping me in the loop.
@Sunflower

Sounds good. Post when you can, I'm pretty patient. :D
Feeling the cannon fire erupt beneath his feet Kristoph glanced behind him as he tried to maneuver the Silver Arrow to out speed his pursuers. He grimaced slightly as most of the first round of cannon fire missed, aside from two, one just barely hitting the top of the ships main mast, the second one taking out the tip of one of the wind oars that pushed the ship through the air. Neither hit seemed to do much to the ship behind them as the pirates behind him continued the pursuit.

Kristoph gritted his teeth behind his lips as he returned his attention to piloting his ship through the skies. If he could hold off the advancing ship for a little while longer, Kristoph knew that he could lose them in a nasty wind tunnel that very few captains could make their way through; he wasn't a fan of the escape plan, but since he personally knew the pirate captain of the other ship Kristoph knew he would be able to lose the man once he entered the wind tunnel. Glancing to Emerson as he called out, Kristoph gave a sharp nod of his head. "Aye! I'm aiming for the wind tunnel off of Dorothel's Peninsula heading towards southern Tiriene." He paused catching the look of terror in the eyes of some of his men as they looked his way. Steeling his resolve the captains eyes looked over the men with finality. It was the only way they were going to escape. "Help the men secure the sails, the engine will have to be put into high wind mode! Only the strongest men will remain on deck with me, to make sure the sails stay in place!" Kristoph's tone said the decision was final, he was running out of time to change his mind, so this would have to work, and he would have to muster all his strength to steer the ship up the tunnel.

Barley Verton, the captain of the black ship, looked onward with an angry gaze at the Silver Arrow which was slowly managing to outdistance his ship. The man was a heavier set man with jet black short hair, a black bushy beard and murky brown eyes which were filled with anger and rage at the man captaining the Silver Arrow. The kid had gotten lucky and managed to beat him to the cargo ship that was carrying some pretty valuable cargo that could be pawned of pretty easily. If Kristoph hadn't heard him talking about it, he wouldn't have gotten the upper hand on him. As his men continued returning fire, although his men's aim seemed to be thrown off with the distance between the two ships now.

Barley watched as the Silver Arrow's course varied a bit to the left. The man frowned as he wondered just what Kristoph was thinking. He was setting himself up to be caught, and while Barley wasn't about to complain about the chance to catch up to the pirate captain, it just didn't seem like something he would do.

Zeva watched hesitantly as her sister stretched her leg. She hated that her sister wouldn't rest herself more especially when it was clear she was hurting. Biting her tongue she silenced her words as they continued onwards. "Don't worry about our aunt and uncle. They will be fine. Besides we won't be gone forever, we will come back with the merchants when they return. It's just seasonal work we're looking for." Zeva didn't mention that she hoped to find something more than seasonal work. She and Zaria had gotten into arguments since the two had agreed to look for work to help their aunt and uncle out. They needed the extra money and the merchants paid well for hard workers to help organize and pack their wares to come back from the bigger cities to trade in Tiriene. Zeva however was hoping for something more by going to the bigger cities.

The two sisters made their way into Eagleharbor. The city had an average amount of people out and about. The year round traders that would remain were already open for the day. Zeva and Zaria had set out early in order to find a ship that would be willing to take them aboard and take them to one of the larger cities. "We should probably talk to one of the local year round traders to figure out who we should start talking to in order to get passage to another continent." Zeva said as she looked around hoping to find a familiar trader to talk with.

It's more than enough to reply to. I do apologize about making you wait so long for my replies though. This week has been pretty hectic for me, but I will have a reply for you tomorrow. Also just so you're aware I'll be gone quite a bit this up coming weekend so replies will still be a bit slow for me. I'm sorry to start this rp at such a weird time for me, but I've been looking forward to it since we started really fleshing things out with the back story and the world.
Once Ash was sure he was out of her sight, he felt himself slump slightly against the two that were carrying him. He heard voices but couldn't tell what they were saying, although he could tell they were male and female at the very least. He jerked slightly when he felt a hand press against his forehead. "He's definitely got a fever, and judging from his sudden collapse, probably fatigue too." the woman's voice spoke in a soft tone as she and the man adjusted how they were carrying him. The two placed Ash on a cot to see just what was afflicting the man. "It was a bandits blade...poison..." he murmured trying to help their efforts glad for the opportunity to lay down. One of the two was trying to take off his vest to get at the injury better.

The woman watched as Vivian began digging through her bag for something. She gave a puzzled look at the Soul Crystal wondering just what Rura had planned, looking at the letter the woman presented to her she took it and opened the envelop looking at Vivian's name written on the parchment as well as the symbol. The woman passed her hand over the symbol and her eyes seemed to glaze over for a moment as she attained the information hidden within the symbol. Blinking her eyes a few times the woman looked over to Vivian and gave a small smile. "I am the Elder Sage Elvira. The symbol on this paper contains a lot of information, most of it pertaining to you and your situation here Vivan. I suppose Rura wanted to make this easy on you so you wouldn't have to explain your story every time you came to us." Elvira spoke in a calm tone as she looked back down at the paper.

It seemed that Rura didn't tell the woman everything, Vivian felt a little guilty sending the woman on a journey she assumed was just to get her home. Mentally debating with herself the woman was interrupted when one the assistants that left with the man returned to the room to speak with her. He walked over and looked at the Elder Sage before bowing his head and speaking in a low tone so that only Elvira could hear him. She gave a nod of her head before looking back to Vivian. "I understand you need me to transfer my energy into the crystal for you so you can continue. However before I pass on my energy I would ask that you stay here for the night, your companion probably didn't let on how injured he was in whatever fight happened before you got here. My assistants have been able to help him with their healing skills, but he still needs a night of rest to recover from the fatigue." Elvira spoke as she returned the envelope to Vivian. She needed time to prepare to transfer her energy anyways, just so Vivian didn't know what the price was for the energy transfer. She had a feeling Rura had done the same thing in order to protect the young woman from guilt.

"If you would follow me, I can show you to a room you can use. If you are hungry as well I can have some food brought to you." Elvira offered as she led Vivian off down a hallway that branched off from the side of the main room. Down the hallway were some rooms used by those who visited the temple and needed a place to stay over night. The rooms were very simple, each one containing a cot to sleep on with a simple blanked and pillow. A basin to wash up with, and two lanterns in opposite corners of the room. As Elvira showed Vivian one of the rooms she looked at the woman. "Would you like me to have something to eat brought to you?"

Ash sat up on the edge of the cot where the assistants had left him. His side was bandaged up, they hadn't bothered doing more than putting a salve on the gash on his head from the hystop. It had taken a lot of their energy and magic but the man and woman assured him that the poison from the blade should have been drawn out of his system. The fatigue he felt however was not something they could heal, and he would have to rest in order to help with that. Hearing that made Ash feel guilty. He knew they would have needed to rest and get food somewhere tonight but if he hadn't gotten hit by the blade they could have kept on moving and rested at a nearby inn.

Ash hesitantly tried to step on his feet, not sure just how fatigued he was. He stood and felt okay at least to stand and walk. He moved around the room a bit to make sure that he wasn't going to collapse. Moving over to the door he opened it hoping he could at least locate Vivian and apologize to her for making her have to wait on him.
Sorry for the wait on the opening post. I was having a hard time trying to figure out exactly what I wanted to do, but I think it's okay. Let me know if it's something you can't work with and I'll try to fix it.

Also even though I like the pirate setting for stories, I'm terrible at terminology so don't expect anything too fancy with boat terms or pirate terms unless I'm looking it up.
The quiet afternoon skies suddenly echoed with cannon fire as an air ship rose quickly from beneath the clouds where it had been in hiding. As the ships fins propelled it away from the area where it rose another cannon sounded in the skies as a cannon ball just barely missed the mast of the ship that had surfaced. It was the captains quick thinking as he suddenly steered his ship to the left that made them avoid the cannon. The captain of the ship glanced back behind him, his eyes filled with a hint of frustration as he tried to avoid the ship that was pursuing his.

The captains green eyes glittered in the setting sun as he looked around suspiciously, his pursuers had given them a moment of reprieve but he didn't imagine that it would last long. "Captain Kristoph! The engine room has taken some massive damage sir! Right now we're barely running, anymore quick maneuvers or hits and we could lose power and take a dive to the lower world!" one of the crew yelped in a panicked tone as he ran to the deck just below the captain's wheel.

"Well then you had best find a way to fix it and quick! The Silver Arrow ain't going down today, she's still got life left in these sails!" the captain retorted in a sharp, dangerous tone as he looked at the engine master with his now icy gaze. The man looked at him nearly to the point of exasperation, but their argument was cut off when the black ship that had been pursuing them suddenly rose from beneath the clouds close to them. "No time to argue Bastion! Get back down there and work your hands raw to get this ship out of here!" Kristoph yelled as he returned to steering the ship, trying to gain distance from the ship behind them now. The man clenched his teeth as another round of cannon fire whizzed past them, he was grateful for the poor aim their cannon men seemed to have.

Looking back, the captain decided that they would have to return fire in order to escape their fate beneath the clouds. "Emerson! Report to the cannon men! We are returning fire on the enemy! We will be fighting the enemy from the rear left while on the run! I want them to take aim at the enemy's masts and fins, we need to slow them down!" Kristoph called to his first mate, leaving the cannon men's orders in his capable hands.

On the small floating continent of Tiriene, Zeva made her way with her sister towards the port town of Eagleharbor. It was a path they had walked many a time together, normally to pick something up from one of the traveling traders for their aunt and uncle but this journey was different from any of the other ones they had taken to Eagleharbor. The two sisters had decided to seek out work for themselves, and it was something Zeva personally had been wanting to do for a long time. She loved her aunt and uncle a lot for taking care of them in the absents of their parents but the woman wanted to know what was beyond their little continent in the great big world out there. Even though Zeva knew just "who" she and her sister were, she still couldn't stand the thought of being cooped up in the small mountain village of Nightfort for all of her life.

Zeva and Zaria made their way by foot down the familiar mountain pass heading towards Eagleharbor. As they crested a bare hill after making their way out of the forest, Zeva saw the port city come into view. A small grin toyed at the edges of her mouth as she saw the city spread out before them. "It's so exciting isn't it Zar? Finally getting to see something off of our little continent." Zeva let out a slightly breathless whisper as she toyed gently with the end of one of her pigtails that her vibrant brownish-red hair was in. Her mismatched eyes stared out with enthusiasm as the buildings stared back at her.

The port part of town itself wasn't extravagant even for a capital city. The buildings were little more than shacks with tin roofs on them, and the trading building where the merchants gathered was a long single story building that took up most of the southern coast line. It looked a bit better than the shacks that had been set up around it, with a heavy wooden roof adorning the peak of the building, and some grime covered windows that didn't appear to let the sunlight in. The rest of Eagleharbor however had more to say than the port part of town. Most of the buildings had brick foundations and heavy wood siding for their walls, the roofs were tin with wooden supports underneath.

Zeva turned to her "older" sister now, the movement causing her curly hair to bounce around a bit as she did. "Are you ready to do this? Ready to set out and find work for ourselves? You aren't having second thoughts are you Zar?" She asked a bit anxiously as she looked at the woman beside her, she had seemed quiet during the journey there, or maybe it had been because Zeva had so many thoughts running through her head she hadn't heard her sister say anything.
Don't worry about it Haruki. I know RL can be busy. Also sorry about the novel of a post, I wasn't planning on it being that long but I just got descriptive as well as trying to keep things moving forward.
Ash watched as the woman eyed him, taking in his injuries for herself. Trying to make himself seem alright as best that he could he was surprised when Vivian wrapped his arm around her shoulder letting him use her for support. He was extremely nervous and more than just a little uncomfortable but he let her continue to support him without argument.

Thankfully Fennire was close by once they exited the forest. Even the short walk to the area outside the forest seemed to sap his strength. Taking a deep breath he focused on walking trying to ignore the heat creeping into his cheeks, not sure if it was from the poison or if it was from Vivian supporting him. As they walked silently Ash felt the hair on the back of his neck prickle with awareness. Glancing back behind them he didn't see anyone but he still felt as though they were being watched by something. He passed the feeling off for now, attributing it to the fact that he was trying his hardest to fend off the poison.

By the time they had entered the city Ash was allowing himself to lean a little bit more on Vivian his side actually giving him a little bit of pain at this point as he tried to ignore it. The color of his face had also paled but only slightly. When Vivian spoke, he looked at the woman before looking around at the small city. It was very small compared to Gennovia and the temple should have been easy to find. As Ash's eyes scanned over the buildings he paused on one before raising his hand to point at it. "Do you see that building?" he said in a tone barely louder than a whisper trying to conserve his energy, the building he was pointing to was a white brick style building that was just about the tallest building in the city. It had a cathedral type feel to it from outside appearances. "We need to go there, you can talk to the Elder Sage there... and the sage's helpers should be able to check me out." He murmured pausing in the middle of his sentence as a lightheaded feeling washed over him, before he forced his words out.

The two of them made their way towards the building. Ash watched as it came closer into view and felt himself relieved that they were almost there. Once they made it to the dark wooden door that was the entrance to the temple, Ash used his free hand to push the door open with all the strength he could muster as he and Vivian entered the sacred building. The entry room they entered was rather spacious but it was nothing in comparison to the room in front of them. The high vaulted ceilings seem to reach up to the sky and the single glass window in the room allowed the sunlight to filter in, the window itself decorated with an image of the priestess who led them. A small alter was located in the center of the room, there in the middle of meditation sat an older woman. She was probably in her late 30's or early 40's, her ebony black hair was long and straight, and held up in a half bun on the top of her head.

As the two entered the woman stood in a quick, graceful motion to her feet before looking over at who had decided to enter into the sacred building. Her light green eyes fell onto Vivian and lingered there, but it seemed as if she were looking through her and not at her as her gaze appeared distant for a moment before returning to the present. They then shifted to Ash who was trying to force himself to stand straight, she noticed the pale color of his face, his labored breathing as he tried to keep his mind clear, and the faint bloodstain that came through the leather vest he adorn. The woman bowed her head in greeting to her guests her arms opening up in warm welcome. "Welcome to the temple of Fennire my guests. Please allow my humble assistants to tend to the injuries the young man has... and I sense you have business with me." She directed her attention to Vivian her green eyes glittering with ancient knowledge as she took note of the woman's appearance, quite sure that she didn't belong here. "Rura... did you really succeed where most have failed?" the woman thought silently to herself as she could sense the man's aura near, even if he wasn't there.

Two of the temples assistants came and gently took Ash from Vivian's arms. He looked back at the woman and tried to give her a small, reassuring smile. "I'll be ready to go soon, don't worry." He called out in a low tone. The two assistants escorted him out of the room, into a side room where they could tend to his wounds.

Name: Kristoph Verquise

Nickname: Kris, Captain, CK

Species: Human

Age: 30

Gender: Male

Occupation: Sky Pirate Captain

Appearance:
Kristoph is a well built man from years of working on a ship. He stands at almost 6 feet tall, and while he isn't too much taller than most of his crew, he still pretty intimidating. While he looks a bit skinny for a pirate captain, his body is mostly well built muscle. His skin is a deep bronze from spending most of his days outside tending to the ship when he first became a pirate, and more recently from his time spent captaining his ship.
He has unruly shoulder blade length chestnut brown hair that has some slight highlights thanks to his time spent out in the sun. He usually keeps it tied with a black ribbon at the nape of his neck but it still ends up coming loose no matter what he does.
He has dark jade green eyes that sometimes appear almost black depending on the lighting and his mood. They will vary between a lighter almost emerald color to a dark green almost black color.
Kristoph's clothing isn't quite as embellished as some pirate captains. He prefers to wear a simple long sleeved white cotton button up shirt, preferring to keep the top three buttons undone and his sleeves rolled up to his elbows. Around his waist is a red silk sash that sets him apart from his crew as he's the only one allowed to wear the sash, the rest make due with whatever they can for a belt. He wears black pants that come down just below his knees and are tucked into a pair of tall black leather boots with silver buckles on them. Over his cotton shirt he normally wears a deep red colored captains coat embellished with silver buttons down the front.

Family:
Father - Raphael Verquise(retired captain)
Mother - (Unknown, his father wouldn't speak of her)
Siblings - Emerson Beardall (Unknown if he has any blood siblings)

Personality:
Kristoph likes to be calculating, he is quite intelligent and considers captaining to be like a form of Chess. He is also a very ruthless man, and has no problem killing innocent people if they refuse to do what he says. His philosophy is if you value your life you'll listen to him. He doesn't have a problem being loud and boisterous, nor is he very subtle. Kristoph is very much a guy in that he likes women, he likes looking, he likes touching, and he has many notches under his belt that he's not afraid to brag about.

Likes:

Dislikes:

Weapons:
A pirate style cutlass meant more for dueling.
A pirate assassin dagger.
A dueling pistol with a flared end.

History:
Since he was but a child of just a year old Kristoph has been on his father boat and part of the crew. His mother had left without a trace once the ship had docked at a port. His father sent out a crew to try to locate the woman but it was almost as if she had vanished.
For the most part even though he had no mother, Kristoph was rather happy to live the life of a pirate. Something most children only dreamed of. As he got old enough to be of some help on the ship Kristoph started off as a deckman, raising the masts and making sure everything was in order on the deck so his other crew mates didn't have any issues should they need to react quickly to a situation. It was when he was a deckman that his father bought Emerson from the orphanage; while Kristoph was younger than him by a couple of years he still sought to make sure that the boy was treated fairly on the deck and not abused by the other crew people. He didn't baby him, but at the same time if it looked like he needed another person on his side Kristoph was there in a heartbeat.
As he grew older Kristoph was moved to more important roles on the ship, although one position he never had and never wanted was being his own fathers first mate. He knew the man chosen for that had many more years of experience. It came as just as much of a surprise to him as to anyone when his father offered him control of the ship when he decided to retire. While he accepted it Kristoph knew that the first mate was angry at the situation. He found his intuition to be correct when the man, in his fury, tried to kill Kristoph. He was quickly taken care of, and it was then that Kristoph appointed Emerson as his first mate, knowing that the two of them could be a dangerous duo.

Name: Zeva "Ze" Tesoro
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Occupation: Currently seeking employment

Family:
Zaria Tesoro (Twin Sister; Alive)
Sewell Tesoro (Father; Deceased)
Lisbeth Tesoro (Mother; Deceased)
Tompkin Vallois (Uncle; Alive)
Daralis Vallois (Aunt; Alive)

Appearance:
Zeva is just a bit shorter than her sister standing at 4'9". Her hair is nearly as curly as Zaria's however the color of her hair is a more brown with dark red highlights weaving through it. Zeva likes to keep her hair shorter with it falling just at her shoulders, normally she keeps her hair in two low pigtails tied with white ribbon to keep her hair in place and out of her face.
Zeva's left eye is an emerald green like the grass on the plains, and her right eye is a pale light blue color.
Zeva normally wears shirts that come down to the tops of her hips. The sleeves are usually midarm length coming down to just above her elbows and are usually a bit flowy in appearance. The color of her shirt varies between light blue or lilac colors. Her pants are usually made of a heavier fabric and are either dark blue or black. The waist normally fits her snugly and as the pant legs get towards the knees they flare out just a bit.

Personality:
Zeva often likes to be independent. While she would never turn her sister away when she feels the need to protect her, she wants to be allowed to do what she thinks is best. Being the younger of the two sisters by a couple minutes, Zeva feels like she has to prove herself to her sister, her family, and the people around her. Despite this Zeva normally is upbeat and cheerful, but she also has a tendency to rush headfirst into things sometimes not thinking about the consequences

History:
Born in the capital of Tiriene, Eagleharbor as the youngest of the Tesoro twins, Zeva was named after their mother's middle name. She grew up for two years in a happy home full of singing and playing. Their parents noticed that within those two years their eye colors began to change and their daughters would always say the names of places and people that they had never been to or met. Their parents took them to a local shaman on Tiriene where their parents were given instructions to keep their daughters safe and to never speak a word about their dreams. Unfortunately news spread fast on Tiriene and a week after the twins’ second birthday, their village was attacked by pirates. The villagers were hesitant to aid the Tesoro family until the baker and his sons spotted the pirates taking away the toddlers. The baker, a hefty man, quickly interfered and gathered a few more men to help him. The twins were slightly injured - a few bruises and scrapes but otherwise perfectly fine.
They were sent to live with their aunt and uncle in Nightfort, a small mountain village in the heart of Tiriene. While Zeva loves her home of Nightfort, the woman seeks something more outside of the protection of the mountain village.

Additional:
-Being a rambunctious child, Zeva has had her share of injuries. The most prominent one is a scar that goes from her right shoulder blade down to the bottom of her right ribs. It is from an encounter she had with a wild animal while exploring the forested area around Nightfort.

- Because her connection is to the surface world and the surface coordinates for the treasure, Zeva has always found herself fond of woodland flora and fauna. Wanting nothing more than to be surrounded by the sweet scent of flowers to relax herself.
