Also, I suggest we include human as a race, with two or three subraces, just so things don't get too weird. Like, one civilised kingdom of humans, secretive pockets of halflings, and "primitive" humans, with very little intelligence, but who are kept as livestock by some of the other races.

Wouldn't the term of "continent" work better for the islands? No disrespect.

I think "landmass" is most appropriate.

@Lucidnonsense

If there are enough people in the revolution, you may create an additional bourgie character.

@OfWindAndRain

I agree.
What if the Fungi live in a cave system, and have a parasitic relationship with a more mobile creature that goes to the surface for them?

On second thought, we need to also think about the non-fungi in our world.
Are those two spaces still left?
@Sigurd

Well, there's only one intentional communist manifesto reference - the first line of the introduction, but it is a communist-themed roleplay, so some might have accidentally snuck in.

Like, bourgeoisie or traitor?
A spectre hangs over Mars. Whispers in the spaceports, as the workers board the ships to the asteroid mines and factories. Whispers in the factories planetside. The Red Planet is a hard place for the labourers at their labour, producing for the men of Earth. In the residential units, widows and orphans without enough money to return to earth are reduced to begging or sweatshop labour. Rich liberals hear of this and visit Mars from time to time, trying to give aid, but the salvation of the wretches of Mars lies not in condescending liberals who benefit from the very things they find distasteful. It can only lie in the Martian workers. The Spectre is known among the governments and capital of Earth, and they have raised police presence on Mars, trying to stop it in its path. But progress can never be stopped, not forever, and you know that this time it will not be crushed. Tonight, you have been invited to a secret meeting in a dimly-lit dormitory. A red flag hangs over the group. Tonight is the first night of the Martian Revolution.
Would our characters have to get along?
I'm interested, particularly if we'll be aping the style of the genre.
