As Fury further explained the situation Kat kept silent, but couldn't stop herself from shaking her head. These were the victors of the race of life; it was a miracle there were any Midgardians left if this was how they carried on. "But of course, why not? We have nothing better to do than your dirty work." The gold mist surrounded her once more and her dress transformed into her battle gear for the second time. "Shall we go?" Twirling a short sword in her hand which had only finished fully forming by the time the act finished. She didn't relish in the killing of creatures - she had loved her fair share of monsters - but these were creatures born from the meddling of man. A very different scenario.
I've always been more of a peanut butter girl :P but if it's as good as you say it is I'm sure it will hit the UK pretty soon, I'll have to keep an eye out
Kat apparently finding her the ancient woman put off her own thoughts to look at the screen. "Of course he would do this. I suspect this will dredge up old rivalries between groups." Sighing she shook her head and rubbed her temples a bit. "Well we can't just ignore it now. Something is going to develop quickly with or without us."

"Well he is an intelligent man. In every event, no matter how tragic, there is opportunity. Why let it go to waste?" The tablet vanished from her hands, as she watched and listened to Kagerou. She didn't envy the position she was in, playing caretaker to those who remained, and the stress that caused was showing. "Yes, action must be taken but only as little as necessary. The more time that is dedicated to trying to placate these feuds the less is spent on investigating the attack. A fact I'm sure has not been missed by the guilty party."
@floodtalon@Mistress Dizzy Is it butter for cookies? Why do cookies need butter?!
@Mistress Dizzy If you're looking for a way to unlock the clues you could always have it so that Kassy (accidentally or otherwise) touches something in Kat's house that triggers some sort of reaction

@t2wave If I can help, let me know
@Teoinsanity Main event has been that Fury received a call from a research facility which suggested they were being attacked and ended in screams and a roar (pretty grim!) which Fury played to the team and asked them to help him. Also he just revealed that the facility had been working with Banner DNA.

That's a very simplified version but I don't think there are pages and pages to catch up on so you should be able to find the relevant posts :)
She did not like the idea of conspiring with another, a team of two was already larger than she typically worked in. Either of them could learn of this realms rudimentary technology if need be, but the discussion had been forced to a halt with the interruption so she let it be. Seeing how he played with the farm foul Kat gave a small roll of her eyes, looking about the room instead.

She noticed Finnigan had returned, clearly not too affected by his small dose of public humiliation earlier, but her attention was drawn instead to Fury, or his voice at least, as it began to resonate around the room. It was never as easy to judge emotion with words alone, but there was something in his tone that alerted her to something more serious. The recording of the call just confirmed the fact. She let the screams wash over her but the guttural howling was not so easily ignored.

As soon as they were plunged into silence Kat began to look about for their next move. Clearly help was desperately needed, but there was also a curiosity within her. For her short time on this realm everything she had seen seemed more manageable than creatures of other realms, so what in the name of Hela had made that noise? Hearing Cinia's question Kat looked back to her. "No, I think we should face whatever caused them anguished screams in satin and silk." She replied, her words dripping with sarcasm.
@t2wave

As the morning progressed Kat retreated into a corner of the house she had barred the students from, for her own sanity and their own safety. Kagerou was a different matter; whilst Kat didn’t know her past formalities she’d been surrounded by enough old souls to be able to recognise the same quality in her. Any space she afforded would be through respect, and responsibility for the students. Regardless of the means, as long as the space was not invaded Kat would be perfectly hospitable. She also kept distant from the areas she had allowed to them, a safe space was all they needed from her.

However that is not to say she was not completely ignoring their presence, even if they weren’t wholly aware of it. So when Kagerou began wandering Kat knew, though was left only to guess the reasons why. Setting down her things she turned to leave but a small noise from the tablet on the side drew her attention. She looked to see what the latest news was, quickly scanning the article, before once again turning to find Kagerou with tablet in hand.

Naturally it didn’t take Kat long to locate her, and she approached with a courteous but impersonal manner. “Kagerou. I hope everyone is as well as they could possibly be, given the circumstances.” The tablet looked misplaced in her hands given the attire she now wore; dark and unearthly robes and metallic chains. “I doubt you’ve had a chance to see this yet, but it is likely to be worth a cursory glance at least.” She said, showing her the article.

Beneath a press image of Erik Lehnsherr, who the journalist reminded had been previously known as Magneto, was the outlining of a press release he had given. Within it he mourned for the great loss for the mutant community of both promising young life and well seasoned individuals, and urged for the importance of finding and punishing those responsible. However behind the shining words was a veiled contempt, perhaps accusation even, towards the communities which had failed to accept them. The mutants had just been attacked, but a deeper reading suggested it was going to be retaliated.
@Teoinsanity@Erklings25 Well done you two! :)
I can't see why it wouldn't still be open, I'm sure Erklings will get back to you soon! :)
