Lydia: “I was _really_ looking forward to the bonfire on Friday, but _guess_ where I get to go instead?” Lydia’s dorm mate, Charlotte, asked her with an extra emphasis on the word “guess.” Lydia shrugged because she didn’t really want to play the “where in the world does Charlotte get to go this time?” game. Her dorm mate frowned just enough to force the tiniest crease into the flawless skin on her forehead. Although she disliked how nasty it was of her, Lydia seemed to delight in any imperfections that appeared on Charlotte’s face. She would never admit it out loud though. “Paris!” Charlotte squealed. “For a fashion show. Daddy called the office to excuse me from class Friday. We’re leaving tomorrow afternoon and coming back Sunday morning. Can you believe that? Just one day in France!” Lydia smiled politely. She didn’t really care that much, but Charlotte was one of her only friends at Northwood. If she could even call her that since the only times she seemed to see Charlotte were in the morning and before bed. It was a rare occurrence for her to be studying in the library with Lydia. Charlotte took a huge bite out of an apple, and Lydia thought to herself, No food in the library… But then again, she had a snack of her own. A small can of almonds she had saved from the cafeteria the day before. They were her favorite and she concealed them between her book bag and a large textbook on the table in front of her. “Oh, look at that girl over there…” Charlotte stared right behind Lydia. She turned in her seat and saw a strange looking girl with black hair standing up from the spot she was in. Lydia turned back to Charlotte who had a scowl on her face. “What’s her name again? Starts with a Z I think. She’s creepy. Looks like Dracula.” Charlotte whispered. Lydia shrugged half-heartedly, not wanting to say anything. She didn’t like it when she talked about “creepy” and “weird” people. Lydia hardly ever said anything about it, only putting her foot down the year before when Charlotte accused a boy she didn’t even know of kidnapping Helen. She had told Charlotte how cruel she was for accusing the boy, some freshman, of hurting some poor girl just for the thrill of starting a rumor. She was ignored for at least three days after that. Before Charlotte could say anything else, a girl Lydia knew from her dorm, Wells Hall, passed by. Lydia was too shy to say hello, and Charlotte was too snotty to acknowledge her existence and so she passed by while Lydia put her head down. ---------------- Max: Max was in his English class when the Madame Geroux made the daily announcements. They were late, but he didn’t care. The teacher had stopped talking and kept shushing students who were chatting while the headmaster spoke over the intercom. Max himself tuned in and out for the things that actually applied to him. He wasn’t looking forward to the track practice tomorrow morning. His legs were already killing him from yesterday morning’s practice. For some reason it was taking him longer than usual to get back into the groove of long distance running. Maybe it was the lack of sleep from all the nightmares he was having. Max saw Helen everywhere. Not as ghost, not like the badly burnt girl sitting in the desk next to him who had been staring at him intently every day since the semester began. More like a hallucination. He never really knew her, but he had had a crush on her when she was alive. It was something he would never admit but she was so pretty that Max couldn’t ignore her. And it affected him in a way he didn’t think it would when the news that she had been found dead by the lake spread around the school like wildfire. Despite not knowing her, he kept having nightmares about her death. A masked man slicing her open before carving words into her skin...it horrified him. Max heard the news about the bonfire, but he wasn’t looking forward to it. He didn’t like being around so many people. He would have to see if Lydia, a family friend, was going to go with her friends. Otherwise, he was probably going to find somewhere else to be.
My character Lydia would most likely be in band, probably a flute player. I agree with Liriia on the musical club though! Also, would it be okay for me to add a NPC? As a roommate for Lydia? Do I need to fill out a character sheet for that?
Hi! I would love to still join this rp if it's not too late! ![enter image description here](http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k133/mary_anne_shipp_yo/Daria2_zps66a259bb.jpeg "enter image title here") - Name: Lydia Wintworth - Age: 16 - Year: 2nd - Normal or Supernatural (as in, what are you?): Normal - Personality: Lydia is a shy girl who makes quite the effort to keep out of as many people’s way as possible. She’s very sweet, but hardly talks to anyone other than a couple friends she’s managed to find during her time at Northwood. - Bio: Lydia was born in New York City, the only child of the wealthy socialite, Vivian Wintworth. Although she comes from money, Lydia was often neglected by her mother and the job of raising her was left to various nannies and caretakers. When she was six, a woman named Anita was hired as a permanent nanny to Lydia. Up until the age of 12, Anita was one of the only people she trusted completely and loved with all her heart. Lydia was devastated when her beloved nanny had to move back to her home in South America to take care of her ill father. She then went through eight different nannies until her mother finally decided to ship her off to boarding school. When she was 14, Lydia applied to Northwood Academy, located far away from her home in NYC. Due to her excellent grades and high standing at her boarding school, Lydia was accepted into the Academy. Although she had to adjust to being so far away from any huge cities, Lydia enjoyed being in a place surrounded by nature. She does not miss her mother much, and never knew her father. The only person she writes to often is Anita. - How you came to the school: Applied to get away from her home and was accepted. - Preferred Dorm: Wells -------------------------------------- ![enter image description here](http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k133/mary_anne_shipp_yo/Joe1_zpsb42c0f53.jpg "enter image title here") - Name: Max Elliot - Age: 17 - Year: 3rd - Normal or Supernatural (as in, what are you?): Max is a necromancer. Ever since he was little, he’s seen the ghosts of dead souls everywhere he goes. They can only communicate with him if he speaks to them first and Max tries to avoid talking to them as much as possible. It’s hard to distinguish between real people and dead people sometimes. - Personality: Max is very reserved. He doesn’t like talking to other people but he also doesn’t really like other people too much. On a good day he’s rather friendly but on gloomier days he is uninviting. He’s usually trying to ignore everybody for fear of what they might be. - Bio: Max was 4 when he first communicated with someone from the other side. A woman who had been murdered by an intruder in his house 150 years beforehand lived in his closet-the place she had been murdered in. Every night until he was 8, the year his family moved, he hid under his covers while the woman begged and pleaded with him to save her. When his family moved, Max had hoped the woman would be left behind and he would be safe again. However, instead of the lady who had been murdered, his new home held an entire family that died in a fire. Afraid that they would torment him like before, Max ignored every single one of them and found that they couldn’t bother him if he didn’t talk to him. It was when he was 13 that his little sister was born and his family moved once again. In his new house, a man who had died in the 30s lived in his room with him. - How you came to the school: Max received an invitation. He jumped at the chance to leave the home that held yet another ghost for him. He didn’t know, at the time, how many students had died at the school. - Preferred Dorm: Dorsey ----------------------------------- **NPC** Charlotte Caldwell, 16, Year 2. Lydia's dorm mate at wells. Charlotte is very snobby and mean spirtied but kind at heart. She's very popular and rich (her parents are famous actors, but divorced). She often makes fun of other students either to their faces or behind their backs. She was born in Los Angeles originally, but has lived in several different places due to her parents crazy schedules. Appearance: Charlotte is tall, skinny, and beautiful. She has honey blonde, naturally straight hair that reaches her waist and is very tan. She likes to wear makeup, but is naturally pretty without it.
I'll be posting my character as soon as I get back home!
I am most definitely interested in this!
Sorry it's a little late, but the first IC has been posted!
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
7:12 AM

Ari was surprised she was awake this early.

Normally when it came to school, she pretty much had to go 10 over the speed limit every day just to barely make it to class before the bell rang. And sometimes, she would straight up be 5 or 10 minutes late if she felt the day required her to be high before school. What could she say? It softened the experience to the point where she could actually bare to walk into class at 7:30 in the morning. The first day of school was no exception, since it was incredibly easy to just sit and smoke in the parking lot at Disney High. But that was beside the point.

Ari was stressed about this year. Before summer had officially begun, Ari’s Aunt Flora had sent her parents her second semester report card. To say the least, they were not very…pleased with Ari’s grades. Her parents were pretty much set on having her come live with them but before they had the chance to buy her a plane ticket, Aunt Flora managed to talk them into letting her stay. However, if Ari couldn’t make a comeback the next year, this year, she was done for.

She had spent the whole night before the first day tossing and turning with panic before finally falling asleep at 3:30. It was a wonder she was even able to get out of bed before 7. But Ari was so scared of the idea of living with her parents again that she had somehow forced herself to be up and ready.

The sun was shining already, which was calming. Ari checked the clock again and saw that she had about eight minutes to get to class, so she reached into her purse, pulled out a small perfume bottle, and spritzed herself. She had better get going if she was going to get to…wait, what was her first hour class?

Realizing she hadn’t even glanced at her schedule once, Ari searched everywhere for the paper Aunt Flora had given her. It was somewhere in her backpack…no, no, she had shoved it in the glove box…wait! She shoved her hand into her purse again and fished around until she felt the smoothness of a neatly folded piece of paper. Opening up, she scanned the top of the page.

Her first hour was Algebra II. She cursed loudly.

Sighing, Ari lifted her pink mug up to her lips and took a huge gulp of warm coffee. She told herself it would be okay. Told herself that this year, her main focus was going to be on school. Told herself that she was intelligent and was a hard worker.

But she really wished she hadn’t gotten out of bed this morning.
Belle and Meg are both accepted and I will add them to the character list shortly!

No it's Alligators... I totally did not just look that up to answer you question.

I will not judge you, because I literally had no clue. I guess I should maybe do a little research since I have only been to Florida twice in my life. And both times I went to Orlando...to go to Disney World...
