Current A great trick if you get the sinus bugs easy is a netty pot. They feel uncomfortable the first time you use them but they flush out all the gunk and will make your sinus infection go away sooner!

Bio

||the Sun heals the body~||
Known to the majority jk no one knows me as Beth, I am a mid twenties nurse, full of punny dad jokes, who avoids her life responsibilities at all cost. I started rping on a site known as maxdanwiz which has long been dismantled by the masses, and through various wandering over the years, I found myself here. I'm down with nearly any rp topic though my writing styles range from casual to advanced depending on my levels of procrastination and the excessive levels of collabs. If anyone ever needs anything or wants to talk you can find me in any of my pms. Always down to help my famalamas any way possible :). There'd be no way to tag all the cool cats I've met here.

I have three kitties, all adopted. One gremlin, one princess, and one sadge goil. I will likely talk about them a lot because their daily adventures feed my soul. I love fall, winter, and really anything that gives me an excuse to wear a sweater and cozy up. I am essentially Bee from Bee and Puppycat.

Useless facts about me: though originally American, I have travelled to four European countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and little Liechtenstein). I have had the opportunity to travel to Kenya (Kigulu and Kisumu) for a two week healthcare mission trip where we were teaching first aid care to the villages there and helping to treat as many of the locals as possible. I'm thankful for where God has taken me and all the adventures that are yet to come.

My Review in Blue

Alright overall I can see you had a lot of charisma with this character. Despite me thinking he fits a reaper personality more I can see he'd be a rogue because of his dad. Nonetheless, fix the few name mishaps ;) and comments and he should be good to move over!
My Review in Blue

Overall I like this type of character. Just clarify with the council bit. I'm fine with his heritage minus his father being a Councillor (at least that is how I interpreted it) General politician that wasn't quite popular enough to be voted in is fine. The rest is good, just fix the minor errors and clarifications and you can move it over :)

Books. No matter how much time passed it seemed to Ari she was always finding new stories and adventures behind them. Her love for their dusty pages extended past the heroic romance stories in the fiction section to detailed accounts of history in a world left far behind. No amount of dust falling from the shelves like dancing snowflakes would deter her or make her less in love with them. When she worked in the library it seemed as though the world of Paradise was far away, their troubles trivial. Similarly, that's how she felt when she studied the stars. We are all but one spinning ball in a vast ocean of stars.

Nonetheless, this morning was proving to show its trials, determined to sway her bubbly demeanor. Sighing to herself she attempted to keep it together while cleaning the coffee stains off the tattered cover. This would be another report, much to her reluctance. A young adult rented a book from the nonfiction section, wanting to know more on war tactics, likely a future militia recruit. She was certain the coffee stain resulted from staying up too late in attempts to absorb all the knowledge they possibly could; nonfiction books could only be obtained for a day at a time, the Council's method of keeping better control on them. Though this no more than a minor damage to the books aesthetic, there would be more talk of limiting this time limit further. Ari didn't agree with this, knowledge was meant to be shared.

"Muuuch better!" pleased with her job, the stain now a faint discoloration, barely noticeable. "Tell Lady Mirabella I'll write the report later," Ari pushed herself from the desk walking over to the rows, labelled by alphabet, finally finding the place the book belonged for sliding it amongst its siblings. "Just don't forget like last time! I had to write that report for you, you know!" a soft voice bellowed from the back of the office, Yasmine was another worker in the Library, a close acquaintance, "Also, you should head over to Deadman's. Looks like the Reapers are planning another raid and want a star reader to come with." This peaked Arianna's attention. Another raid?! We just came back from one less than a week ago! Waving to Yasmine, she made her way out of the library and opened the large French doors, sunlight causing her to squint for a moment.

The Core poured out before her, bustling with Keepers and Militia performing their daily duties. Stepping onto the cobble of the streets she started out towards the Lanes, her mind still slightly unsettled. The raids were becoming more frequent, the demand for goods becoming evermore consuming. All the more evidence that the world of Paradise was a bowl with water tipping over the seams, threatening to spill forward. Shaking her head as if shaking off the thought, Star put a pep in her step. Only tomorrow knew the days tidings. She could only live in the moment.

"One more time from the beginning. This is just so fucking retarded I can't wrap my head around it," Dee pinched the space between her eyes seething with frustration. The new recruits were usually pretty brainless; however, this year's lot seemed to be completely devoid of any shred of common sense. The recruit before her was babbling on, clearly losing any confidence in forgiveness as the conversation went on. The stumbling over his words was getting on her nerves. The fact he broke the jukebox, the only source of music at Deadman's and few available in the lanes, was a sin that was unforgivable. "They are going to kill, actually going to kill you. I, on the other hand, am just going to watch since APPARENTLY that's the only entertainment here since your weak ass can't hold your liquor."

This was not how she wanted to start her day. Having everyone pissed off further at the rogues was not on her list for a productive morning. This would be money, and time, and require the expertise of an independent electrician enthusiast or a keeper. Having to go to the latter put a foul taste in her mouth. Goody two-shoes. Dee never did like them. Slamming her hand on the table she stood up. "You!", reaching to the table over she grabbed Aiden by the hood and pulled him over to the table she was previously sitting at, "Deal with this, I don't have the patience". Being able to annoy Crow put a smirk on her face. He liked to swindle his way out of work, a perfect excuse for her.

"Seriously, who starts drinking this early. Damn animals." She made her way to the bar where she notified the barkeeper to put it on their tab. It was going to be a long day. Looking mentally through her faces she pondered on who would be a good electrician for the job. They could probably get spare wiring from the pawnshop, that place was crawling with the stuff. Either way Deeandra figured it couldn't be more than a short. It would be more annoying if they had to replace the speakers, that was much harder to come by.

Even still, they would have plenty of opportunity. Requests had been piling in for the last couple of months. Dee hadn't heard anything about a famine, shortages on food or water. That didn't stop the Council's odd orders, smuggling more and more illegal goods. For all she knew they should have a fortress of the stuff by now. She didn't know what was going on but she didn't like it. It was sketchy, intriguing, and Deeandra was curious enough to want to get to the bottom of it. But that was for another time.

vam·pire

/ˈvamˌpī(ə)r/

Noun
1. a corpse supposed, in European folklore, to leave its grave at night to drink the blood of the living by biting their necks with long pointed canine teeth. Undead.

Vampires have stood the test of time as myths; stories to scare children at night. Hollywood cliches that remain in the limelight due to their mysterious nature and dashing good looks. This holds some truth, only they are not just in your imaginations. Vampires have lived among humans for centuries and to this day, their true identities have never been revealed. To avoid this from happening, a vampire must choose a human 'companion' so to speak. One human to get their blood supply from and to meet whatever other needs they might have. From first bite, a connection forms between the vampire and human. A bond usually develops, displayed mainly in the human at the beginning but slowly the vampire too will become a little affectionate towards their human. After all, the human becomes 'theirs' once they're bitten and vampires tend to be a little possessive of their property. It is important to note, however, that vampires are not expected to fall in love with their human. It is not something that is highly regarded in their society but there are always those willing to push what is expected of them. While it is not necessary a law - there are vampires that will hunt down and act against those that consider their humans to be anything more than a food source.

Every year the newly changed vampires - and those who's humans have gone past there sell by date - attend a dance. One in which they are expected to find a human to last them for the next few years. The unsuspecting humans receive an invitation in the mail, telling them they have been selected above all others to attend the annual masquerade ball. An invitation many would die for.

Dearest ____________,

You have been officially invited to attend the Harrison Masquerade Ball this Friday evening at eight in Mr. D Harrison's estate. This invitation is valid only for the person whose name is stated above. No further guests will be permitted to enter the grounds as this is a private event. Formal wear is essential. There will be a buffet and open bar at the ball and a prize for the most elegantly dressed lady and gentleman.

We look forward to seeing you this Friday evening.

Kind regards~

The Harrington Estate is may be a cage, but think of it more as a nature reserve rather than dinky bars. The mansion is on over 100 acres kept with every amenity a human/vampire needs to survive in luxury. There are over 21 bedrooms each with a walk-in shower/closet area, an indoor and outdoor pool, gym with rock climbing walls and indoor equipment, an indoor theater, a ballroom, three living rooms, gourmet kitchen with all the works, outdoor firepit, grill, and courtyard. There is a botanical garden on the grounds along with hiking trails. There is a outdoor tennis court, basketball court, and multiple areas to further explore.

Important Note:

These vampires can go out into sunlight, but it weakens them a considerable amount and it's only direct sunlight that weakens them. If they spend too long in it they may die. The older they are the longer they can spend in the sun. They can be killed only by other vampires though humans can hurt them with sharp wood. They can change a human into a vampire by sharing their blood with the human. They don't need to sleep but sometimes do if they've been hurt or they're thirsty. They're stronger, faster and overall, more powerful than humans. Despite common tropes they do not have any powers. A human does not need to die for a vampire to cast them aside and get a new one.

When being bitten and fed from, a human will either feel intense pleasure or pain. They will form a strong bond with the vampire who has bitten them, and this bond will not break unless the vampire feeds from a different human. The vampires will give the humans a drink after they have fed from them called Thyma, based off the medical effects of polycythemia in the body. This will help the humans regain energy and help their blood cells multiply so they don't die from lack of blood, being fed from so often.

Rules:
As the GM I expect you to respect both myself and any others who join this rp. No characters will be god-modded without permission. If someone quits replying or is busy for several days then their character can be modded in the sake of keeping someone else from being stuck. We will need to keep the balance between vampires and humans for the sake of how this roleplay works. Due to this I intend to make one vampire and then keep an available spot for the sake of balancing. For matchmaking I am going to use a randomizer and once we have all the character sheets I will send you who your partner will be. If you have issues with this partner down the line we can trade out if needed.
