Hedy was enjoying her lunch when she saw YingJue with Gordon and his friends when she wondered, "Hm... New friends?"

The Schwarz cosplayer introduced himself when he saw the German Champion enter and ask in response, "He... hey now... Who said anything about going anywhere?" He had the sake bottle prepared when she prepared to swoo her offering, "'Course I can tell you where I plan on going tonight..." Things didn't seem to be going as planned though when he saw the Campion leaving the room asking, "Wh-wha hey... Where you going my lady?"
As he made his way down the halls he saw two young men standing in front of him when the Danish Champion offered, "I think it's time for you to let her leave."
The cosplayer didn't seem to have his vision correct when he asked, "Huh... Hey what's in my way?"
The Egyptian Champion agreed, "He's right. You aren't exactly presentable about now."
"You... You kidding?! I'm gonna... I'm gonna have ta learn you now!" The cosplayer took out his Siegel gunpla when he challenged them both.
"You don't have the ability to stand up properly but you think you have a chance at a battle?"
"Y... Yeah! Come on! Winner takes all!"
The Danish Champion reluctantly agreed to the challenge when he answered, "Alright I guess it's a duel then." "Let's just make sure he passes out when this is over."
The cosplayer made his way down the halls to the nearest public battle arena when he summoned, "My lady, let me show you what I've got for you!" He was followed by the two champions as they hoped to keep him away from the German Champion for a while.
Kira and the bridge saw the enemy signature blink off the holographic map when one of the operatives reported, "Commander, we're reporting enemy destroyed."
Kira sighed out of relief from the action when he asked, "Finally. Were we able to confirm what sort of unit it was?"
Terzo pointed to the images taken of the Advancer when he answered, "We have the images sir. It appears this one was more of a mobile suit than a Generic."
Kira sat back in his commander chair when he agreed, "Regardless at least we know they are beatable."
There was another operative on the bridge who reported, "Sir we're reading a bio-signature on our right broadside."
"Is it remains of the enemy?"
"It doesn't look like it."
An image of the cocooned pilot was making its way to the broadside. Kira recognized the opportunity when he ordered, "Attention available units. Retrieve the enemy pilot and engage capture."

As soon as the Centennial withdrew away from the Advancer remains he responded to whatever Terra would tell him, "There I hope you're happy... Braggart."
The Verity moved to the broadside when he scooped the cocoon of the Advancer pilot when Avris warned, "Just open wide Archangel I've got this." The cocoon made its way into the open bay when Avris congratulated himself, "Alright should be good to go."
Sousuke voiced his complaint of the situation when he asked, "We have to tolerate one of those things on our ship now?" This added to the fact that he had his blades ready for the ZETA if she were to attempt to attack him continued to build on his nerves.
Kira ordered Avris on his communication panel, "Officer Grimm, please try to keep them from turning on one another."
"Sure sure..." The Verity stood in between the two Gundams when he told the pilot, "Listen kids, I hate to be the adult in this conversation but you're not going to calm any nerves and it's going to make our side look pretty incompetent."
Sousuke spat at the need to be proper with Terra when he answered, "Sure I can leave her. Maybe if her royal fussiness will quit acting like I'm the one who's not doing anything."
The Verity made its way to the Terminus when Avris told himself, "Keep that up kid and you might reach my levels one day. You'll have to be sure to build that backbone off of something though." With that the Verity made its way to the Terminus while the Archangel waited for the Centennial and the ZETA to make their way towards landing. The Centennial led forward in the landing while the ZETA followed while Ensign Bitalech awaited their landing to offer their evaluation.
The Archangel continued its attack when it tried to destroy the Advancer unit when one of the operatives warned, "Sir, we can't hit that thing!"
Terzo saw the ZETA in danger of being attacked when he warned, "The ZETA is getting in our line of fire!"
Kira saw the danger the ZETA was in when he ordered, "Cease fire! Cease fire!" The Archangel ended its attacks when the Advancer and ZETA continued their duel.
One of the operators recognized what happened with the Advancer's moves when he warned, "That unit is trying to use our strategies against us."
Terzo turned to Kira when he pointed out, "I'm afraid there must be a greater problem with this situation sir."
Kira nodded when he asked, "You've seen it too?"
"We have three Gundams against one unit and their teamwork is lacking in more than one area."
Kira sighed when he prayed, "I'll have to hope that they are capable of defending ourselves now."
As the Advancer made its attack on the Archangel one of the operators warned, "Commander! The enemy is making the attack to our side!"
Kira was quick to order the defenses below, "Brace for impact! Defend our position!"
Thankfully the ZETA managed to deter the attack from a fatal blow when Terzo reported, "The enemy's been thrown off course! The ZETA has it!"
Kira saw the units engaged in the same intense struggle when he warned himself, "It's not for long..."
One of the operators observed the uneven work between the three Gundams when he asked, "Damn it! How long is it before the Centennial does something to take that thing down?!"

Sousuke continued to watch the battle when he found the Advancer bringing the Gundams to its mercy. As soon as he heard Terra call her a numbnut to his face he spat back, "Damn it, what's with you?! I'm not some grunt to push around!" Sousuke asked as Terra tried to motivate him to action. When she tried again he told her, "Quit calling me that!" It did however manage to be enough to move him forward into the fray the three Gundams were attempting to finish.

Avris's blade was deflected at every chance the Advancer tried to throw the ZETA off course. "Well shit. There it goes trying again." He was quick to take out his Verity's beam rifle when he continued to fire warning the Centennial, "Hey Yamato! Watch yourself!" As soon as he saw the Advancer making its way to the Centennial he saw the ZETA making an attempt to damage the opponent when he warned, "Avert fire! It's got its trying to take advantage of friendly attacks!" He saw the Advancer making its way to the Centennial when he warned, "Listen Yamato, just brush off what the nice lady has to say about you onto the enemy."
Sousuke's voice on the other line responded with a irritation dominant in his voice, "Easy for you to say jerk! Maybe you should just let me handle this myself right now!"
Avris moved the Verity away from the Advancer's position when he put away his guns for the battle when he recognized the greatest challenge before the three forces. "This continues we're going to be screwed really hard."

As the Advancer unit made its way to the third Gundam's position, the Centennial prepared its arm blades for the attack. "Here it comes. Blades ignite!" The Advancer unit began to charge its way towards when the nuclear energy began to course through the blades. This time the armor sliced through the Advancer unit with the goal of seeing its enemy destroyed. The blades worked their way into Advancer unit as it made its lunge when Sousuke told the pilot, "I'm sorry I don't feel anything for you."
The Danish Champion probably should have considered the time zone difference but fortunately his cousin was able to hear. I'll at least make sure he doesn't lose her too. He remembered his promise to himself. "Uh not that much..." The Danish Champion unfortunately didn't get to hear about the engagement but at least it left him a sense of the German Champion's dedication. There was no way she'd start dating someone else with that in mind. When he heard his cousin's request he agreed, "I'll try to do that. Thanks." After hanging up the Danish confirmed, "It's official, something's wrong."
Hi Egyptian friend tried to confirm the situation asking, "Really? She's not trying to start something?"
"No. But I'll have to see if that guy she met is going to be safe for her." The Danish Champion began to make his way to the hotel the Schwarz Bruder cosplayer stayed at while the Egyptian observed his friend's determination.
"I'm guessing you'll do anything for the one you love..." The Egyptian said to himself.

"Whaaaaaa?! Bu-bu..." The Schwarz Bruder cosplayer was befuddled by what the German Champion told him in the lobby before he thought to himself, "Wait..." He took a look around the lobby to find a few people along with lookalikes of the Frost brothers before he answered, "Uh I don't know what you're talking about! I only wanted an autograph!" He handed her a pad and quickly scribbled in it to forge a signature when he whispered, "Half hour." He made his way to the elevator to his level when he parted, "Thanks, I'm gonna save this!"

The Schwarz Bruder cosplayer made his way to his apartment when he set down the tools given by Brian on a nearby table. "Hehehe... Smooth. Nobody is going to notice. Gotta get ready quick." He switched from his Schwarz Bruder outfit to a fine outfit very quickly before looking in a mirror admiring, "Oh yeah. I got a burnin' love!" He remembered the pass in the envelope when he opened it but wondered, "Hey what's this? This isn't my pass. Dave must have mixed it up or something." He couldn't find his pass but found the pack of herbs in its container when he tried to read, "Danger... Ah crap I can't read Japanese. What's this supposed to be anyway?" He thought nothing more about it when he dropped the herbs to his desk and decided to prepare the saké. He took a taste from the bottle judging, "Hm, tastes about right... woah...." He placed the cork back on and tried to hold himself up when he asked, "Uh... I wonder if this stuff is supposed to be this effective..."

The Danish and Egyptin champions observed the cosplayer make his way to his apartment from across the building when the Danish asked, "What's that in his hand?"
"It looks like herbs of some kind."
"Herbs? With saké?"
"I'm guessing he didn't think this out too well. He looks a little tipsy."
The Danish Champion dropped his binoculars when he told him, "There's no way she's going to believe something like this. We're going to have to move in fast."
The Egyptian Champion was concerned when he asked, "Probably going the way you think it's going to?"
The Danish Champion nodded, "Yeah. I'm worried about that." The two rushed down the building and began to make their way to the apartment building. With any luck the two would be able to prevent the worst possible case for the German Champion.
Terzo observed the two Gundams within the Archangel launch from their catapults when he reported, "We have confirmation of their presence Commander. The Verity, Centennial and ZETA are all launched and engaging the enemy."
One of the operators voiced a concern, "You really think this isn't going to be overkill for this thing sir? It could just be some Generic."
Kira observed the battle on the map when he answered, "If it turns out to be another Actualizer we can't afford make the mistake."
Another operator nearby was "We've got video feed from the ZETA sir! Uploading now!"
"What is it?"
One of the operators took a look at the odd Actualizer enemy unit when he reported, "It looks like a mobile armor sir. Have we even seen this thing before?"
Kira only had to observe the unit for a second when he answered, "Only once at the Colada Incident. This isn't just a Generic we're dealing with." He turned to the operators below when he ordered, "Prepare to engage in primary defenses. Do everything possible to assist the Gundams."
One of the operators observed the , "All primary defense turrets activate!"

Avris's Verity made its way towards the location of the Centennial and ZETA when he greeted, "Hey kids. I take it you're looking forward to this new encounter?"
Sousuke was the first to answer with spite in his voice, "There's nothing to look forward to in combat."
Avris shook his head when he lost contact left to comment, "Damn. I can't get on the good side with any of these kids." He saw the Advancer unit making its way towards him when he prepared his Anti-Ship sword warning, "Here it comes. Time to batter up."
Sousuke saw the Advancer unit making its way towards his location when he took hold of his blade triggers. He observed the enemy intensely when he cursed, "I have to take out another one... Why do you monsters have to even exist?"
Brian leaned out the window of his trailer when he offered the bottle and parts when he told him, "Alright, here's the stuff dude. Hope you have some big moves planned."
The cosplayer took hold of them both and promised, "Alright, thanks Dave. Not sure what I'll be doing on the first date but I'll make sure it's something memorable."
"At least you have some ambitions. Just make sure she gets a taste of that saké. It cost a lot to get that."
"You bet. Set a bet on this with the guys tonight Dave. I'm going to nail the German Champion tonight if it's the last thing I do tonight!"
Before he could make his way to his hotel room he stretched out an envelope offering, "Oh yeah and don't forget these."
"Huh? What's in here?"
"It's the backstage entry to the tournament. You dropped it this morning."
The cosplayer took hold of the envelope eagerly when he thanked, "Oh, thanks Dave. That would be a bit embarrassing." With that in mind the Schwarz cosplayer made his way off to the hotel where he could wait for his supposed date to begin.

The Egyptian Champion observed the situation at the trailer when he pointed out, "Seems innocent enough. Seems like all he's doing his getting support from a friend."
The Danish Champion took out his phone when he began to dial, "I guess so. I really wonder if she's really planning on dating someone else already. I hope my cousin knows about this already."
"There's got to be something awkward about a situation like this."
He began to make the call on his phone to hear from his cousin. As soon as he picked up the Champion asked, "Hey what's up? I just wanted to make sure, are you still dating?" When he answered the Champion let him know, "It seems like she's supposed to be meeting with someone. And I'm not sure if it's in a way you'd be okay with."
Kira was barely able to give an answer when Athrun reminded him of his own personal conflict in his first few instances of war. The feelings of conflict were something he tried to push away from earlier but knew that Athrun was correct in his warning. He could only sigh acknowledging the thing he was doing to Sousuke when he added, "Unfortunately I had as much choice for my entry as Sousuke does now. And he made the same choice I did at his age as well. All I can do now is find some way he can survive this war like I've hoped." Athrun made his way to the Izanagi when Kira saluted in parting, "She will be in good hands."

Sousuke entered his assigned quarters when he threw his schedule to the side and kicked his nearest wall out of frustration. He threw both of his fists to the same area out of frustration from the situation before he cursed, "Damn it dad! Why?!"
A few minutes passed before Sousuke took out his cellphone and saw the two contacts he was hoping to address. He found his mother's contact name and began writing his message, 'Hi Mom. Please help me. Dad has made me pilot a mobile suit. I need your help to get me out of here. Please help, I don't want to die. Please respond soon. Love, Sousuke.' The message was sent and he found Li Mei Hsu's address. He wrote another message when he told her, 'Hi Mei. I'm still alive. Dad's dragging me with him and I can't escape. Don't worry about me, I'll be back with you at your side soon. You have my heart encircled around your finger my cosmic queen. Love, Sousuke.'
Sousuke looked up at the ceiling from his bed when he considered everything that had been thrust upon him that day. As he tried to ponder what could have gone through he permitted a feeling of song when he decided to cope with his situation the way he knew best.

Here I am out among the stars
Being given more of my scars
Living through pain my will shall drain
Here to wonder of my wondrous queen's reign
Cast to the lands I never knew where I never sought to live
What things should I seek as my drive?
I look out and see myself deprived
But who is to there to see my hope revived?
I hold on to faith
I'll overcome my odds
I'll never be torn asunder by the demons who seek my soul
And at the end of that faded light
There I will soon see my queen again

Sousuke let go of whatever grudges he had for the evening and forced himself to get some sleep for the night.

"Good morning Ambassador. How well has the Alliance accepted your meeting?" The ZAFT Chairman greeted the Ambassador on her shuttle leaving the grip of the Earth Sphere.
The Ambassador sat in the leading chair of her FFMH-Y101 Eternal when she reported, "Quite warmly Chairman. The Alliance has grown more open to ZAFT presence since the recent treaties. Unfortunately I feel that much like the recent agreements it is being done for the wrong reasons."
The Chairman looked up from his desk when he pointed out, "I have no intention of questioning the legitimacy of your claims Ambassador but I would think the Alliance leadership wouldn't operate with anything but the well being of Earth in mind."
"Even so Chairman, I feel there is very troubling news in regard to the Alliance's state."
"Could you briefly give an idea of what issues are most troubling you Miss Yamato?"
Lacus presented a holographic map of the Earth when she reported, "Recent riots in South America are questioning the legitimacy of the recent attacks on Port Two going so far as to call it a staged attack from their own government. The Eurasian Federation is rallying its forces to the Arabic regions to quell economic frustrations. Worst of all it would seem the proposed Mutual Enforcement Through Arms act has gone in effect... What the President sees in this motion I cannot currently imagine."
The Chairman checked another sheet when he brushed off the concern, "Nor is it your mission to discover why Ambassador. The Alliance has simply set forth motions to protecting its unity and it will only be a matter of time before they pass from being necessary."
Lacus sighed at the dismissal when she finally accepted, "I hope you are correct Chairman. These actions on Earth will prove to be a troubling time for us all."
"Only if the Actualizers learn to use this situation to their advantage. in the meantime you are to ensure that the current mutual agreement is maintained."
"I remember my mission Chairman. I will have a full report ready upon arrival and suggestions for maintaining our relations with Earth."
"your arrival is eagerly anticipated Ambassador. Have a safe journey home."
Lacus took a look at her message system when she found the recent message from her son. "Kira... Sousuke..."
"Is something wrong Miss Ambassador?"
Lacus turned to see her assistant nearby when she answered, "No. It's only a personal matter."

Predictably out of all pilots who were asked to follow their schedule, Sousuke was the one to discover how the schedule to work against him the most. He slapped his eyes awake when he heard the alarm
He rushed to follow the pilots to the training area before Meyryth would arrive to evaluate the soldiers waiting for them. Sousuke rushed towards the nearest opening area where he managed to find an opening area to form up in rank even when he still managed to receive a few unpleasant eyes from his fellow pilots.
The gazes were broken when Meyryth marched into the preparation room when she observed the pilots waiting for her attention. Sousuke caught himself in mid-yawn when he tried to avoid getting any scolding from Meyryth. She greeted the formation, "Good to see no one has lost their sense of scheduling. Here's the situation, right now our best two chances for standing against the Actualizer Threat lies with the Gundams. I'm currently not at privilege to provide you with the odds of success for pulling this off. However it seems you have already determined who will be your best bet in providing security."
'Pft. Great. First day, I bother to show up and everything and she doesn't even show gratitude.'
He stood at attention when he observed the remainder of his superior's instruction when she announced, "As you may remember, Private Zala will be leading you when we have a decent force to back ourselves. Right now only she and Yamato will be making missions for AERO but ZAFT will be doing its best to offer support. I do not expect you to perform miracles but I expect you to be soldiers for this mission to Earth. You are expected to perform with ZAFT pilots at optimal efficiency. Meet with the ZAFT squadron and report to PT right after."
"So you think any of them is worth investing in?"
Illiana shrugged his arm when she told him, "To tell you the truth I've had my eye on someone."
"Woah. Illiana's going for somebody."
"Ah man. For one of the AERO guys? Guess we better offer a warning."
As soon as another ZAFT pilot saw her making her way to the Archangel's celebrity he told them, "Hehe. No worries. She's going for the kid."
The questioning pilot agreed when he saw the sight, "Might as well see someone bust his high horse. Couldn't be a better pick than her."
"Hey Yamato. Nice to see you were anxious to be on time to see me again."
"Well uh... I never really had a plan for that. I never thought you noticed me."
She offered her hand in greeting, "Illiana Rydith."
Sousuke shook her hand when he greeted back, "I guess you know me. I'm the Yamato kid everybody is sour over."
Illiana began to walk towards the locker room when she asked, "Sour huh? I know you weren't showing any enthusiasm before but now it just sounds like you never had plans for the military."
"If you want me to be honest I didn't. The only reason I'm here is because I saved my father from being killed in battle and I guess this is his way of saying thanks."
"The way you describe him it makes it sound like he doesn't understand you."
Sousuke gave a glare to the ground beneath him when he confirmed, "Tell me about it. Just because I piloted a Gundam once now I'm a big time pilot who has to save us all."
Illiana took a look at the Centennial at the launching strip when she pointed out, "It's not like you gave a bad argument why. Only two Actualizers were killed in the entire course of our contact with them. Killing one in first flight is not something to dismiss. If anything it just show's you were clearly born for this."
He wasn't any more convinced when he added in a sarcastic tone, "Yeah if I was I might as well have told my mom as a kid that I wanted to follow dad into taking on Clarent and exposing Selda Crind. I'd like to see how well she would have reacted to that."
Illiana wasn't disenchanted with the idea when she instructed him, "If you're just going to keep coming up with excuses for why you shouldn't be here you're not going to handle this period any better."
Sousuke found his way to a wall to the separating area for the locker rooms when he asked, "And how am I even supposed to? I didn't want to go in and I sure as hell don't want to be here now."
"If you had the choice to do it again though, would you?"
Sousuke looked down when he was forced to pause at the idea. After considering the notion he could only muster, "I don't even know anymore. I'm starting to wonder if I even should have to begin with."
Illiana waited before she entered the locker room telling him, "A good friend of mine would probably like to give you a serious beating for saying things like that."
Sousuke gave a brief gaze at Illiana when he asked, "And this friend of yours is the most war scarred out of everybody?"
"Not too many can say they are. He never got to meet his father and losing his last girlfriend was enough to make everyone think he wasn't into women. At least you had the chance to save yours."
"Whatever you say. Why do you even have to get in my affairs like this?"
Illiana placed a hand on his shoulder when she told him, "Everyone has to look out for one another in a group like this. Ensign Bitalech won't say it out loud but it's what keeps us from losing against the enemy. If you don't have a clear head or feel like there's anyone to call a friend you won't last very long out there."
Sousuke realized the issue when he commented, "At least you have something constructive to say. All these people just want to kick me down just because I'm new here."
"If that's how you feel then I hope you can look out for yourself. If it's okay I'll at least try to help you stay alive out here."
"Guess it could be worse. Private Zala over there will probably just want to find any other excuse to beat me up again."
Illiana chuckled lightly when she agreed, "That could be a bit embarrassing. Just like I said earlier though, don't try to get killed out there." She realized the Ensign was about to glare at their location when she reminded, "Training is about to start. Hope you're ready for a soldier's daily training."

The session of training was harsh for Sousuke when he panted to make an effort at enduring the physical training a military pilot had to go through. Most of the exercises being as demanding as they were ended up draining him of his energy and yield in low results some of the pilots had to hold back laughing at. Even with such problems on his mind Sousuke was still able to find a safe area in speaking with Illiana when she began her kickboxing training.
Illiana was clad in her boxing gear when the first quarter of physical training was passing when she told him, "I think I get it by now. You never were interested in being the big bad Shinn Asuka or trying to be what your dad was. But did you ever hold anyone in the military forces to high regard?"
Sousuke took down his own target when he told her, "Not before. I think I can make an exception for you though."
Illiana made another kick when she told him, "Are you honest? If you are then you're certainly a lot easier to build trust with than you've been letting on."
Sousuke tried to keep his eyes level with her face when he told her, "It's not like I can say no to a nice lady can I?"
She took a sip of her water container when she looked up and asked, "Nice lady? You might be one of the more polite pilots I have a chance to work with."
Sousuke made a show of shaking his head at the idea when he told her, "Well damn, ZAFT must have really lowered their standards if ladies aren't given the treatment they deserve."
Illiana made her way to the women's locker room as soon as the alarm for first quarter of drills had been completed telling him, "You sure managed to get on my good side easily. Let's see if that does anything for us on the battlefield."

Avris answered his phone when he greeted his constant partner in crime, "Morning Private. The training been going well for you?"
Illiana's voice sounded when she answered, "Ensign Bitalech has been anxious to see our forces are ready to save the day and been treating the Gundam Pilots like the royalty they are. You should know how much of a pain it is working in AERO conditions."
Avris threw his wrench to the side when he told her, "Come on, I know like anybody else can you're trying to list excuses to get transferred... again."
"Oh come on it was just once, and I had to relinquish my promotion because of it."
"Yeah a real dilemma for you wasn't it?" He took a gaze at his monster of a Gundam when he reported back, "Me and the guys are making sure the Verity is able to make a big entry, A.S.S. swinging."
Illiana giggled when she agreed, "Sounds better than boomerangs. At least it's less likely to interfere with someone's line of fire."
"Yeah however Zala plans to act it might be a while before she has a level head about teamwork."
Illiana's answer when she delayed her response quickly telling him, "Maybe we should just agree to that. This sort of talk, not the kind to stick on her good side."
Avris flipped his phone closed when he agreed, "Okay. Sounds like everything is going as expected.

Before the third quarter of drills could begin Meyryth received an alarm from the bridge above when she heard, "Ensign! We have contact from the bridge! The enemy is approaching our location!"
"I should have known." Meyryth sighed. She sent an order to the crew within the launch bay, "Send the ZETA and Centennial out to engage! Don't let them approach our location!"
Sousuke took a look at his assigned Gundam when he shook his head, "Great... I get to go out there again."
Illiana walked up to him when she asked, "You're planning to keep them from approaching aren't you?"
Sousuke took hold of his helmet when he had his pilot suit on answering, "Whatever. All missions pretty much boil down to killing the other guy doesn't it?"
"If it is then I hope you're ready to do well enough to come back in one piece."
"I guess. It's not like too many people are going to be happy about it anyway."
"Does this give you incentive?" Illiana asked placing a kiss on his cheek.
Sousuke blushed as he "I... I guess it might."
Illiana patted his back when she told him, "Just go out there and do your job Mr. Soldier."
Now within the cockpit of the Centennial Sousuke prepared himself for the launching process after the ZETA shot forward. He announced to the crew of the bridge, "Sousuke Yamato. Gundam Centennial. Launching."

"Now I'm going to make them see what I'm capable of for real." Avris flipped several switches and announced to the crwe of the Terminus, "Avris Grimm. Gudnam Verity. Launch!"
Advanced a little for Crash to have some room.
Sousuke found his way up to the bridge where the others were waiting. He saw his father and several AERO pilots waiting at the front when a holographic map was displayed. Sousuke saluted to Kira when he announced, "Reporting sir."
Kira turned to salute back, "Form up with Primary Squadron."
"Yes sir."
Kira saw Athrun and Arath waiting for the presentation as he began, "This is where we stand, Captain Arath Remin has accounted for ZAFT forces capable of escorting our forces to the Earth Alliance Capital." He pointed to the area of Port Two when he explained, "I'm afraid that our primary mission is off to a more rocky start than we had imagined but we will have to work with it for now as we can." He moved his finger to show where the Terminus and Archangel were moving to when he added, "The Gundam we kept from enemy hands, the Centennial, is one of our first chances to stand against the Actualizer threat. Our official mission is to take this weapon and present it to the Earth Alliance so they can begin manufacturing mass production units."
One of the AERO pilots voiced his concern, "For the Alliance though Commander? They can't be the only ones permitted to receive this thing."
Kira confirmed this when he explained, "The mission of AERO is to see that all sides are capable of defending themselves against the threat of war. As of right now we will have to maintain our forces and move forward with our original mission. The Centennial must reach the capital but it is our mission to see that it is made possible."
Avris spoke for his side of ZAFT pilots when he asked, "Alright defending the package won't be too bad of a deal. Who gets to pilot the Gundam?"
Kira introduced the meeting, "He doesn't know it, but he is probably the most capable pilot we have enlisted thus far. He is the one who was capable of defeating the Actualizer earlier in the battle within the colony and saved my life. Private Sousuke Yamato."
"..." Sousuke heard some dissenting talk build among the ZAFT pilots when he turned to Kira asking, "Dad, why do I have to be doing this now? Those guys over there look like they'll handle the Centennial a lot better than I will."
One of them seemed to hear this when he stepped out of line offering, "Hey listen to that, the pretty kid even agrees. Come on Commander you know we've got a better chance with a professional behind that thing."
Arath ordered to the pilot, "Private stand back in line, you are not authorized to speak that way to a superior officer."
Kira shook his head when he answered, "Sousuke Yamato relinquished his civilian status hours ago. As of right now he has shown the ability to pilot it the Centennial and handle against the enemy. And from what I understand our best pilots are currently assigned to their own respective Gundams."
The protesting pilot was far from impressed when he asked, "Pfft. Some kid gets to be in front because of some accident? And how seriously do they plan on handling this again?"
Arath repeated his order, "You'll report back in line now Private." The pilot stepped back in line as he waited to hear from Commander Yamato.
Kira brought up a list of pilots when he reported the ranks, "Our plan now follows as such. Private Zala will lead our ship squadron and Private Yamato will follow under her orders. Ensign Bitalech, you will maintain your position as operator of squadron operations and ensure the training of our pilots is kept to standard."
Meyryth nodded as she agreed, "I will ensure it is done sir."
Kira showed the destination for the two ships when he explained, "Our current plans will be to travel to Maius Four for resupply. With our current units AERO is unfortunately at a disadvantage."
Avris didn't believe the reason when he asked, "Even with the Gundams?"
The pilot who protested earlier asked, "You forget who one of their pilots is?"
"Which is why one of our squadrons will be escorting the Archangel for the duration of our way to the colony. Our pilots have been selected and shall begin a temporary transfer. All participating are to participate and assist as seen fit."
Illiana saw her name on the list of pilot when she pointed out, "Guess I get to have a chance in seeing him in action at some point." She took hold of Avris's arm when she asked, "Gonna miss me hun?"
"You'll have to be gone for a while but sure."
She planted her lips to two fingers before touching his check when she told him, "Now I know playing with me."
Kira finished the meeting when he concluded, "We are currently making our way from the colony and will be arriving in a matter of days. You are instructed to wait for our arrival at the colony and follow activity to regular protocol. Dismissed." The pilots of AERO saluted before turning to make their way down the corridors of the Archangel. Meyryth stood behind as she waited to see Sousuke leave as well but saw him remaining behind with his father.
Sousuke was no longer in line when he asked, "Dad, why do you keep trying to do this to me? I'm not a pilot, I was never even going to serve a year for anybody."
"If I had it any way Sousuke I would see to it that you wouldn't have to even live through a war. But what you saw was real and it can't be avoided now."
"You made me pilot after almost getting yourself killed out there! It's like I said, I never wanted to do this before!"
"Unfortunately you're now in the situation where you don't have a choice Sousuke. I never asked you to save me, you made it your own choice and some of us have survived for it. It's time for you to accept responsibility for a change."
Sousuke threw his hands to his side in defeat when he turned away from Kira before telling him, "Mom's going to hear about this."
Meyryth sighed as she considered the problems she was about to have with Sousuke. She handed him a slip of paper telling him, "Your schedule Private. Report to every event by the second."
Sousuke didn't show any gratitude when he took it and answered, "Yes sir."
Athrun was among the officers waiting for him when he asked, "From what I've seen it seems like Sousuke wasn't prepared to begin his time in the military."
Kira was frank when he agreed, "He wasn't. He's not even old enough to have served a few days in the military and he's serving at my age."
"Will he be able to answer the demands of war though?"
Kira didn't permit any fear to cloud his judgment when he answered, "If he doesn't then we are going to have a demanding war ahead of us. One that we might not have a chance of winning."
Hedy saw some relief in Kartal's face when he confessed on the idea and decided that a decent lunch would probably be the only way for him to release what grief remained. "I guess we'll have to hope something happens." As she followed Kartal and YingJue to the food court she began to wonder to herself, “What would Heinlein have to say about situations like these? Hm fear, fear, fear… ‘There’s no limit to her love, we have everything to gain — and nothing to lose but fear and guilt and hatred and jealousy?’ Not fitting enough. ‘Live each golden moment as if it were eternity — without fear, without hope, but with a sybaritic gusto?’ Eh maybe…”

"Who the woah!" The Schwarz Bruder cosplayer proclaimed out of enthusiasm for his acceptance. He was fortunate to already be in a red costume or else other observers would have correctly guessed he was blushing in excitement. "Alright! I did it! I made it! I got a date with Ms. Germany! The constellations have really aligned tonight!" He brought his attention back to the German Champion when he handed her an apartment cardkey when he offered, "Alright my lady, here's my apartment key. Can't wait to see you tonight. I promise it's going to be a nice time tonight." He skipped off as soon as he handed it over when he cheered, "Yeah!"
Brian observed his lackey skipping to him when he asked, "So how'd it go?"
The cosplayer stopped in front of Brian when he answered, "Aw man Dave you're not going to believe this! Ms. Germany is coming over to my apartment! Just watch, I bet she's still dating. I give her my Spiegel and she teaches me the moves and before long she's on me like uh... uh... what rhymes with 'me'?"
"Like a bee?"
"Yeah! Her hair smells like honey I bet!"
"Yeah so he manages to get one of the rising stars easy. It's not like-" Brian cut off his train of thought when he had an idea come to mind at the opportunity. He turned to face the cosplayer when he asked, "Hehe... So think you'll be getting lucky with her tonight then?"
"Of course, she's got my apartment key and everything."
"Here's the secret to a lady, you're going to need the right 'substance' to swoon her into the right mood if you know what I mean."
"Oh yeah that works... But do Germans like to drink anyway? Budweiser?"
"Close but not quite. Why don't you just wait for me outside my trailer and I'll fix you with something nice."
"Aw man thanks Dave you are a pal and a leader."
"Not a problem pal. Just wait, you'll really have her under your wing soon enough."

"There's something wrong about this." The Danish Champion observed on the matter.
His Egyptian friend was next to him when he asked, "And you're not feeling it out of jealousy?"
"I've just been having a sort of bad feeling with him ever since he made his way here."
"Good point. Guess it wouldn't hurt to keep watch over what he's doing."
"We'll have to see how he does. It’s better that we know she's safe than let her
"Who knows, it might even answer who was attempting to do the sabotage in the first place."

Brian prepared the gunpla pieces on his table while shaking some sedative herbs together when he chanted to himself, "Hehehe... There once was a man from Nantucket. Who thought his date was only definite. But he finds out too late that his evening won't be intimate. Pretty soon he'll only be asking whodunit..." He remembered the cosplayer's nationality when he answered no one in particular, "Doesn't make sense but hey, it's just too good an opportunity to pass." He wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to mix the herbs with whatever saké he would decide to give the Schwarz Bruder cosplayer, but then again her health wasn’t much of a concern in this case.
