Someone else wanted to make use of this leyline? Hmph, this would prove more problematic than he had first realized.
He had made his way into the Temple's grounds with ease, and given that there was no sort of interference, he had assumed that no one had set up their field here yet. He would still have to fight his way out of this one.
He kept his gaze fixed on this other girl and readied himself just as soon she had begun to cut open the birds.

I started reading them earlier today, but I haven't fully caught up.
Nearby Conquest and War, wondering if he should do something.
A shuffle of footsteps could be heard through the room. The source of them was the rather spacey Sen Kusari, not exactly sure of what to do in this situation. Sure, he had the means to contribute to this fight, but should he? Would people just look at him with those looks of contempt he was so used to?

Then it hit him. He should probably help. Maybe he'd be recognized for his efforts and rewarded somehow. Yes, that would be nice. He liked rewards.

By no means is he a normal child; he has odd habits, odd fears, and odd ways of socializing.
His proficiency with Magecraft has been apparent since his birth. It would be easy to say that he's a savant for his family's particular craft, and uses it in ways that very few people would expect. His family decided it would be good for him to go to a place to hone these abilities.
So they dropped him off in the middle of an African desert and told him to find his way from there.
He's been wandering for quite some time now.
