So I have an idea for a roleplay about the last few survivors of a huge apocalyptic event (could be a nuclear war, a zombie infestation, a virus, or whatever). Years after the event has ended, only a handful of people remain, who managed to survive the apocalypse in a bunker and have finally emerged to find the world a completely different place. Now they have no choice but to rebuild and repopulate in a hurry before what little remains of humanity is gone for good. I'm happy to play either gender and actually would prefer to double for this story. I'll be playing multiple characters either way. I'm looking for someone who is 18+. Not necessarily because of content, but more just because it's more comfortable that way for me. PM me if you're interested or just have any questions/ideas you want to discuss with me. Thanks!

Gabi used a wet rag to wipe sweat from her brow. As much as she liked being here in the forge. All of the sounds and smells appealed to her, as well as the company. But it was hot. Maybe a little too hot. "You haven't seen Nabi around lately, have you?" Gabi asked Olric. "I needed her to help me with some crops today and I haven't seen her. I'm starting to get worried. I know I shouldn't be. I mean she does this kind of stuff all the time, but I don't know . . . I just have a bad feeling this time. Like maybe something bad happened."
@Aristocles

Okay. I will.
Great! Hmm just need to think of how to fit Nabi and Gabi into what's going on now.
So I'm back. So sorry for being gone for so long. I honestly was worried this roleplay wouldn't be active when I returned, but seems to still be. I'd love to jump back in if that's okay?

Nabi thought for sure that she was as good as dead when suddenly Taurl shouted at the big goblin to get his attention fixed on him rather than her. His words did sting a little, but she knew that he was only saying it to save her life, so she couldn't really get upset with him. And with the big goblin's attention now completely focused on Ty rather than her, Nabi drew the tiny knife that Ty gave her. She figured she had one chance to repay him for saving her, so as Taurl thrust his spear at the goblin, Nabi stabbed the knife right into the goblin's back when he wasn't looking.
Great to see some interest! Hopefully we can get a couple more people and then get started on characters and such.
Beneath the city where the humans dwell is an empire. The ratfolk as they call themselves, although humans merely refer to them as vermin, are anthropomorphic rat-like creatures with voracious appetites and quick reflexes. Small in stature, only about three or four feet, the ratfolk make up for their lack of size and physical strength with sheer numbers and unwavering tenacity. They live in the vast sewerage system beneath the human city and survive by sending out raiding and foraging parties to the surface under the cover of darkness. Any that are discovered by the city guards are slaughtered without mercy, as they are seen as nothing but a plague on the city. But the ratfolk are a determined race. Able to reproduce very rapidly, they can replace their dead in a hurry and continue to eek out the best existence they can in spite of the humans above making every effort to exterminate them. Sometimes, the humans even send down parties of hunters to kill them in the sewers.

Although the ratfolk generally can only hope to scavenge and steal in order to survive, there are rare times when food is plentiful and the humans are lazy in their culling of their numbers that the ratfolk colony swells to the point where they can attempt huge raids on the city, pouring forth from the sewers to strike back at their above ground tormentors in all-out war in an attempt to take the city for their own.

So that's it. Basically this is a medieval fantasy setting, although I'd be open to discussing making it a steampunk setting instead if that sounds more interesting, where we play as the ratfolk, living beneath a large city in the vast sewer system. We forage, raid, and just try to survive. We're basically the Skaven from warhammer without being completely evil.

Let me know below if you're interested or if you have any questions, comments or suggestions. I'm sure there's something that I forgot to add or explain. Also, I haven't GM'd anything on here before, so if anyone wants to help out by being a co-GM that would actually be really appreciated. So just gauging interest here. Once I know if anyone is interested, I'll go ahead and make a thread for the IC and OOC as well as a character sheet. Thanks!

Nabi covered her ears when the alarm sounded. The horrible noise was so high-pitched and shrill that it hurt her ears. Knowing exactly what it meant, the young goblin wasted no time hefting the bag of flour in her hands and then taking off running back the way they came. It would only be a matter of time before the village guards arrived, and she didn't want to be around when that happened. As she ran, she looked over her shoulder and shouted at Ty and the others. "Come on, we have to get out of here right now!" As if that weren't already obvious to them all. But not two seconds later, her feet came skidding to a halt when she saw her path blocked by a big male goblin guard hefting a wooden club riddled with spikes.

"Where do you think you're going with that?" the big goblin growled.

"Uh-oh," Nabi uttered timidly as she retreated a few steps, trying to think of a way out of this one.

Nabi's eyes grew wide. "An alarm spell? Wow, I don't think I've even heard of that before." Then when Taurl mentioned that she probably shouldn't bother with the bag of flour, she wrapped her arms tighter around it. "It's okay," she said. "It's not as heavy as it looks. I'm sure I can managed." She didn't want to look weak in front of Ty and the other goblins in the party. A lot of them probably already saw her as weaker anyway being that she was the only female in the group. Nabi was about to ask Ty another question when suddenly she heard the sound of a pig squealing, followed by an alarm, which sounded like a horn blowing. It seemed the guards knew something was up, and that meant that they were suddenly in a lot of danger being here.
