Considering trying to re-run a digimon RP that didn't really take off. Dunno though. Digimon rp's are met typically with a terrible fate. :l

Hello. . . Umm, I'm Pyro. How do you do? I'm not really sure about what to say. XD
I like lots of the less serious (especially Ecchi ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ) anime out there and super actiony games. I rather like Touhou and Hyperdimension Neptunia too! If you want to talk about those at all send me a PM or something!
The roads outside the city were quite and peaceful in comparison to inside of course. Camila decided to carry her Vulpix through the city and set the cute thing down when they were out of the concrete jungle. "Haaa. Still can't believe the Professor would toss me to the wolves like that. Eh, Vulpix?" She asked, looking over her new Pokemon.
It just gave small, "Pix!" In agreement.
This gave the girl a small smile as she knelt down and gave the fox a pat on the head. It was a cute Pokemon now and when it eventually evolved it would become quite the beautiful and fluffy sight. "Hmm. Perhaps I should give you a nickname. There's more than just one Vulpix in the world after all." She scratched at her chin for a few seconds. "Hmmm... Let's not think too hard about it. Since you're an Ice-Type, how about something simple. Does "Snow" sound good?"
The Vulpix tilted it's head for a second as if confused before giving a small nod and running in a small circle giving out small yips. It seemed to like the name well enough. "Alright, Snow. Let's take the first steps of our journey together." With that, the two walked fully onto Route 1. It was about what one would expect, more a walking path for people in the city, but it had its own charm. The more they walked in, the more the verdant forest enveloped them and quieted the bustle of the city.
Soon, they were walking alongside a stream. It looked clean and glistened in the sunlight that pierced the forest canopy above. Camila looked ahead and saw something that seemed... Out of place. A girl dressed lightly, though looked rather fitting on her. She looked over the rather impatient looking girl and walked closer. For some reason, she felt like she should talk to her. Perhaps it was the small glance she received. Or, rather, the occasional ones. "Hello. How are you? I'm Camila."
As she introduced herself, Snow ran up to the girl and looked up at her, giving a "Pix!"
"And that's Snow." She made sure to stay a decent distance back, "Sorry to bother you if you're busy. I just wanted say hello to the first person I met after leaving the city." Her eyes drifted to the motorcycle before going back. "Especially when that someone has an off-roading bike. It makes one a small bit curious."
"How do I feel? It feels like a stab in the back of sorts. I know what kind of person she is, but I wish she would have at least discussed it with me." The lab assistant turned field assistant mentioned, mindlessly handing her ID over to the other assistant. "What do you need it for?" She asked before seeing her level was increased. That was really nice. Then, when Frieda gave her her phone number and told her to call her if anything came up, she couldn't help but let a small tear come to her eye. She tossed her arms around Frieda and brought the other assistant into a hug. "This is why you're my best friend, Frieda." She said, happily. "Best of luck on the babysi-- Watching over the professor." Camila commented before releasing Frieda and sighing a small bit. "Sorry. Just a bit happy about that. I'll try not to call you too much. Maybe I'll just head straight out and try to get the task done as fast as I can." She mentioned, looking at the other people in the room. One had challenged the others to a double battle. Well, outside of catching Pokemon, that wasn't her cup of tea really. She'd rather just surround herself with the cute things and note their characteristics instead.
The demon girl was much more effective than Katherine had expected. She had managed to get the possessed woman to release the idol which was a great thing. In the madness of the moment, Katherine had ordered two of her dolls to move. One to the side of the conflict, hopefully out of notice and another to the other side empowerer with wind magic. Her plan was a bit reckless perhaps, but she hope it would work. If she could use a wind enhanced bullet to shoot the idol to her other doll, it would be in their hands. She didn't want to preemptively do anything though.
As the little demon, Xivi, came skidding back to her after biting into the possessed woman's wrist, Katherine smirked. "I knew keeping you around was a good idea. Help us out and I don't mind getting you some food when we get back. The good stuff too... Not humanoids or anything though. Beef. Pork." The Firbolg mentioned, thinking it pertinent to mention considering the demon had just said she would eat her whole. "Maybe you like some good bread?" She asked, looking up towards the two mothers in one.
"You're not going to let it happen?" The firbolg asked with a sly smile. "If you ask me, it doesn't matter what you think will happen, you know?" She mentioned. Her teammates had her back right? Katherine, Lyssa, two demons and a squad of gunner dolls against one weakened demon? It should be a piece of cake, really. "Reality has a harsh way of coming down on all of us." She wanted the demon's attention off the idol long enough for the one doll to take the shot and blast the idol to the other doll. With that much in the way, everyone else should have an easy time restraining the possessed woman, right?
"And I'm not a 'cat-thing' I'm a Firbolg!" Katherine complained. "Saving humans... Well, if it's a side-effect. Mostly, I'm concerned with making sure demons don't run around willy-nilly. Personally." The firbolg crossed her arms and tapped her foot. "Though, I do like to go out of my way to save pretty women where I can."
Lyssa was right however. They were in some odd standoff. They couldn't really do anything than aim at her and she could take her hosts life and feed the idol blood. But.... She had a... A really bold idea. There was something fairly similar between the demon that had fought in the town center and the ones they fought to get there. Something of an aquatic nature perhaps? She spoke under her breath to Lyssa. "This may go well or it may go bad... But I think I do have a small bit of a plan." She bit her lip a small bit and reached under her skirt. Out from there, however she was hiding it, was the spherical capsule that held the demon they had captured the other day. As it seemed, she did not turn it in somehow and had done something with it. Not that Lyssa or Eliz would know what was in it of course.
She pulled an arm back and threw the ball forward. "Demon girl, I choose you!" She exclaimed, unsure of why exactly she said such a thing, really. She just hoped this might have a small effect that she wanted.
Well. The Isla situation was taken care of for now at least. She'd likely use her Pokeballs to catch Pokemon and that was a net boon for everyone involved of course. Now that they were back with the professor, she listened along to the woman's words, nodding along where needed. Yep, she could sure help them figure out the Pokedex if needed. Everyone's Pokedex came to life as they got registered and she was happy enough to see...
That is, until the professor handed her Pokeballs. "Eh?" She questioned, looking at the balls before being handed a Pokeball with a Pokemon in it. "W-w-w-wait! P-p-professor? What do you mean field agent!?" The professor, however, shrugged her off. "Prooofffeessooorr..." The woman complained as she was ignored once again. She would practically be sobbing if it wasn't in public. "Haaaa...." Instead, she sighed and looked around at all the people the Professor had hired to go catch Pokemon for her. They were discussing where to go and plotting out their courses... She had no idea where she would even go at this. She just released the Pokemon from it's Pokeball and she had an idea what it was. Something she had mentioned wanting to get her hands on. A Vulpix. Not just any Vulpix, an Alolan Vulpix.
She knelt down and pet the little thing. "I guess we'll be traveling together then little one." She picked it up in her arms and moved on with Frieda. She didn't really have much to add to those around her. Perhaps she'd join someone but... For now, she would walk near Frieda and trying to get a feel for those around her.
The damage she dealt was about as she could expect against such a beast. Luna frowned however, hoping it would do a little more damage. "Damn. Dragons are tough as they say." Luna muttered to herself as she unsheathed her sword. She started to move as the dragon reared back, expecting it to slam down once again, only to see something else. Smoke billowed from it's snout and the knightess' eyes went wide. "Fire." She muttered once again. Quickly, she brought up a light barrier to shield herself from the incoming fire breath. It was shaped much like an arrowhead to allow the fire to quickly push past her and require less focus on keeping the barrier up. Once she was free from having to shield herself from the deadly flames, she would drop the barrier and summon a javelin of light to throw at the beast's eyes as well. She'd aim for the side that Cecil wasn't on. After tossing that, she would close in on the monster. If she cast her magic on her blade, there was a good chance for her to do some damage.
Katherine watched in awe as Eliz did something very.... Special. Time crush? What the hell did that even mean in context? Whatever it truly meant, she did not want to experience it first hand. It seemed to have some unpalatable consequences. "Well. Good work then, Eliz." The firbolg mentioned scratching the back of her head. That was easier than expected, truthfully. She watched as one doll pushed the other off the new hole in the ground and, immediately after Lyssa's gauntlets fell in, she slapped that one doll over the top of the head. "Don't knock your sister into holes."
After she jumped in the hole, falling to the the next level followed by her dolls. She used the same wind magic she did after being thrown off the airship prior to carefully hit the ground level as well as her dolls. Once down there, she checked on the one that fell to make sure there were no damages on it. It was mostly fine so she turned and followed after Lyssa with her squad of gun-toting dolls. After a short saunter down the hall, the group found themselves in front of the demon-possessed mother. "Talk? I'm not sure what we have to talk about, demon." She pulled out her pistol and aimed at the woman, her dolls lining up and ready fire at a moments notice." She considered trying to shoot the idol out of the woman's hand though figured that she would only be marginably successful. "Perhaps you want to discuss a surrender?" She asked with a smirk before quickly looking around the room, seeing if there was anything out of place or perhaps something to take advantage of.
Camila blinked a few times at Isla's question. "Do I want the...? What? No, no. Don't be silly Isla. We have plenty of them to go around so there's no need to worry about it giving it back. In fact, I wouldn't be too surprised if the Professor doesn't hand out a few to everyone before you all leave." The assistant mentioned with a nod. She smiled at the younger girl and shifted her stance a little from leaning on her left leg to her right leg.
"That said, I do recommend using the Pokeball. I'm not sure if you're aware, but should you not do so, there's a chance that someone could catch the Eevee. It's just how the system works. You don't even really need to keep them in the ball for the most part either you just need to make sure the Pokemon that are your friends are tagged so that..." Camila started to lecture though she seemed to realize that if she didn't stop herself, she'd probably rattle on for some minutes. She brought her hand up as if to caugh into it before saying something briefly. "So that you can make sure no one else captures them and you can do your job for the Professor."
Camila thought Isla was a little weird, truth be told. She expected that everyone would know the reasons to put a Pokemon in a Pokeball but here she was, standing corrected by the truth in front of her. She crossed her arms as she was curious what Isla's reply would be to this. She merely hoped that Isla would understand that it was in her and the Eevee's best interest.
Isla blinked, pausing for a moment at the sudden explanation. Well, was really the first thought. Sure, she knew of people who stole Pokemon but...as far as she could remember from the news, they found other ways than Pokeballs and just...caught them anyways. Those sorts of things ranged from nets on the low end to specialized Pokeballs on the high, and even the simple act of stealing the Pokemon while they were inside the balls was a thing. Would catching him...really protect him? Would he be safe from it all if there were other ways?
"I can tag him other ways, though...right? Chips to keep track of him or...prevent Pokeballs from working? I mean..." she paused again, trying to think of a good way to put things. "A normal person won't try to catch a Pokemon sitting on your shoulder, because that's...that's rude. People like Team Rocket will try to steal them anyways, though, even if you've had them in a Pokeball. Right?"
"It's not the people like Team Rocket you need to think of." Camila stated poking her chin for a second. "It's more like... Imagine you and your Eevee get lost in a forest and seperated. What's to stop a trainer from seeing a 'wild' Eevee and trying to catch it on sight." The assistant mentioned "With the Pokeball, they just throw it and it just harmlessly bounces off and that tells them instantly that it's already caught."
Camila then mulled over her thoughts for a few seconds. "As for a chip, the professor may know about something but I feel the Pokeball technology is far less intrusive than implanting a chip in a Pokemon. As I said prior, you don't even need to keep it in there. It can function well outside of it's ball. It's also useful if it's ever injured or endangered somehow since you can recall it inside the ball. It's easier to transport them in a ball when they're fainted than with your arms."
The assistant fake coughed into her hand again, realizing she just spoke so long once again. She took a breath but there was a small bit more she needed to say. "They also need to be in a ball to be quickly healed up at a Pokemon Center." She took a deep breath and allowed Isla a chance to reply.
"Oh." Isla looked down, the image of her injured Eevee just there suddenly. Yeah, no, those were...good points. It wasn't as though everyone extremely eager to catch an Eevee would be someone in Team Rocket, and also...it wasn't wrong that a chip would be more intrusive.
Besides...Camphor definitely wasn’t going to pay for that.
"Maybe I will, then." She scratched around the fluff near the ears, frowning just a bit. A thought occurred to her, then, a question she hadn't heard answered before. "What's it like...to be inside a Pokeball?"
"Hmm. It's hard to say, really. Humans don't go in them and Pokemon don't have great vocabularies." Camila said with a small giggle after. "But I will say every Pokemon that goes in one doesn't typically mind it. For the most part of course. I did hear a story of one that refused to go in but I think it was mostly stubborn and very rebellious." Camila mentioned looking down to the Eevee and then back to Isla. "As I said before. It's a great safety measure and you can pretty much leave your Pokemon out of it as long as you want. Though some stores and bakeries don't really like them inside if they leave sludge, fur or goo around. Never take a Goodra inside a coffee shop." She giggled again, trying to turn Isla frown upside down.
A snort, then a chuckle at that immediate image came from Isla as she lowered and shook her head slowly. Maybe, maybe, maybe. There wasn’t all that harm in it...was there? She could have him out anyways, day to day, and it'd be just for emergencies. Yeah.
Was she the weird one? Was anyone else having these sorts of questions or...were they just going out, catching their partners with no questions asked, rushing back in? Heck, probably. Isla sighed at that, but then again they probably understood all the little benefits of a Pokeball that had just been lost with her. But, still...it seemed so mechanical, so unthinking, so...uncaring, in a way, if they just...caught them and that was that. Surely they'd form bonds after, in Pokemon battles and stuff, but...why form the bond after the catching? It seemed backwards, rushed in a way. Heck, heck.
Taking out the Pokeball from her leg pocket, the Eevee looked up at the unexpected movement, staring at the object. Well...alright, she thought, slowly moving it closer as she kept scratching between his ears, trying in some way to distract him, something, anything. Tap, right against his side. It clicked, opening with a snap motion.
A bright light, right in her eyes...and then he was gone, the ball closing. The Pokeball shifted briefly in Isla's hand, back and forth for a moment as she stared at it in her palm, eyes slowly adjusting back to normal. Finally, it was still, her hands closing over the sphere just a little. She looked back up at Camila, almost expecting some kind of comment at...she didn't really know. Being blinded, maybe? The moral issue that just...seemed to be alien to her? Something. Isla was quiet, though, not really knowing what to say.
Camila watched on with a smile as Isla seemed to have some sort of internal debate or something of the sort before getting close to the Eevee and tapping it with the Pokeball which, at the end of the day, ended with it's capture. "Congratulations. You're now the partner of one Eevee." The assistant mentioned, looking toward where the Professor was. "I know that the Pokeball may seem a bit cruel but it's not all that bad." Camila didn't feel the need to lecture on that any more. Isla seemed to more or less understand the Pokeball's uses.
"Any plans on how Eevee evolving?" Camila asked the trainer with a sly smile on her face. "I of course recommend Sylveon. Fairy-types are the perfect combination of cute and powerful." Obviously, Isla could even tell that Camila was a bit biased on this subject.
Isla looked down, considering the ball, her Eevee, and...well, sure, the future. How would she evolve her partner...was it really a planning choice she wanted to make? She wasn't sure. On one hand, there was something to be said for planning and...on the other, 'cute' and 'powerful' weren't really things Isla was interested in now. Her Eevee was already cute and, as for powerful...well, that only mattered with Pokemon battles, didn't it? There could always be other ways. Clicking the opening clasp again with her thumb, the Pokeball snapping open again with a bright light, and there the Eevee was. He yawned, quickly deciding precisely where he wanted to go with a leap onto Isla's shoulder before clamoring left and right, paw stepping on the back of her head. Eventually, and will a little bit of help, he was settled down to lay over her shoulder.
"Well...no, not really," Isla almost half-whispered in response, suddenly aware that she shouldn't be too loud out of politeness. "Just was going to go wherever it went. Hmm..."
A name. He needed a name. What could it be? Isla didn't want to name him something normal or something that someone else might name theirs. There were a lot of Pokemon that were fluffy and him being even more so didn't really mean enough to just call him Fluffy. Besides, what happened if he stopped being fluffy in the future? A lot of Pokemon were sleepy, too...that wouldn't do, no not at all. What did she feel...right there? Well, that was easy. Isla felt like dancing, even if she really couldn't at that moment in time. Dancing. Yeah, that worked well enough, she decided. Slowly, she rose to her feet, careful enough not to let him slide off, one hand resting gently on his side with the fingertips grazing the very tips of his fur.
"How's everyone else doing with theirs?"
"Fair enough." Camila stated, looking back the way she had came for a second. She didn't really have much more to tell Isla right now. She was just all in all glad that she had convinced the girl that she should put the Eevee in a Pokeball as it was in everyone's best interest. Isla and the Eevee most of all. "Well, I'm sure this little guy would appreciate every little thing you do for him. But yes, everyone else. I've no idea since I've been talking with you for a bit. The Professor was having all the people that already had Pokemon show them to her so we could head back and show your Eevee off if you want."
Camila looked to the Eevee on Isla's shoulder and instinctively brought her hand up. She realized what she was doing and frozen. "Do you mind if I give him a little pet on the head?" She asked a small bit sheepishly. It was always polite to asked first of course.
"Sure, that's...that's fine." Isla found the question that had then followed to be so...so funny, just how it had been said and phrased that she felt like laughing. Of course, that only made her pause, struggling to not chuckle or laugh lest her shoulders start to quake and wake the Eevee back up. He's already started to snore now and again, deep and heavy breaths like a miniature engine. For a brief moment, Isla wondered if anything actually would wake him up since he seemed to have fallen into a deep sleep so freely, so quickly.
Awkwardly angling herself to proffer up that shoulder, she replied, "Yeah, you can pet him."
Camila's face lit up. She took a step closer and calmly moved her hand forward to pet the Eevee. Her fingers stroked the soft fur on the normal-type Pokemon and her face relaxed and then melted into a wholly pleased one. "Soooo adorable~" She whispered, not trying to wake the Pokemon up. Her hand moved towards it's back, her fingers sinking slightly into the fur but relenting before the tail since many Pokemon didn't like their tails being touched. She then gave a small scritch on the top of its head before removing her hand. "Hehe~ Thank you. Such a cute little thing."
She took a step back and fake cleared her throat, keeping her back to her slightly more professional attitude. "That said, shall we head back to the Professor since you have your Pokemon now? I'm sure she'll want to see your new friend."
Isla watched as she pet the little guy, the snoring dying away into simple deep breathing as the other girl withdrew her hand after a moment of indulgence. It was almost funny, how Camila had turned into a little ball of eagerness at the first sign of petting a Pokemon but, then again...Isla really was the same way. Maybe it was just the difference in how she'd been introduced, as an aid to the professor. Maybe. It was still funny, though, and she let-out a long, deep breath to try and not begin uncontrollably laughing at the situation.
"A tunnel or vault? Guess that's where we need to be." Katherine calmly mentioned as all the carnage is going on around her. Her dolls were more than capable of turning these demons to mincemeat in due time but Lyssa and Eliz just expedited the process more than a little bit. "Thanks for the support Bernadette." Katherine continued to mention with a smile as she moved forward toward Lyssa and Eliz with her small column of dolls behind her. "Scout out where the entry-way to this tunnel or vault are dears. If you find any more of these demons report back with due haste. Lyssa, Eliz, shall we?" The firbolg smiled, walking forward. "Unless you two could break through the floor and get us there much faster."
The bandits were easily dispatched realistically. Hardly a warm-up even. It was then that something was flying in the air. A large, mountain wrapping dragon? "What in the world is this?" She questioned. It was quite a bit bigger than the one she was expecting them to have to fight. This thing destroyed the very stone beneath it. She had a thought that, in fact, this was not quite the beast that had taken their friend's hand. And it was trying to crush them? Luna ran to safety, lest she be crushed by such a large beast. She summoned a blade of light behind her as she ran, wondering if her magic would be enough to pierce the creature's scales at all. For now, she needed to keep herself from getting crushed.
