Totally interested, but I'm still somewhat intimidated with the thought of joining an Advanced RP because I fear my writing may be inadequate for this section. English isn't my first language and I've only just now resumed writing :/

Appearance:

Standing at an above average height with terrifying warpaint covering most of his body, Peo'tskome is quite an intimidating figure to behold. Physically imposing and well-built, with broad shoulders and a thick chest, he is in the best physical form for his age. A fierce warrior, his body is covered in a multitude of scars gained from countless battles.

Personality:
Cold, reserved and fiercely loyal to his people, Peo'tskome is a rather complicated individual. To some, he is a loyal and caring leader; to others, he is simply a merciless brute. Personally, he is a quiet individual who rarely smiles and tends to only speak when spoken to. Fiercely loyal to the Dahote, Peo'tskome is willing to do anything to ensure the continued survival of his people.

Background:
Born the eldest of the three sons of Chief Megedagik of the Setangya Tribe, Peo'tskome was the only one amongst the other two to survive into adulthood. Ever since he was a young boy, he had a knack for fighting and he was raised to be a warrior of the Setangya. During his youth, he spent most of his time following the older tribesmen into raids and skirmishes against the other tribes of the Great River. In time, Peo'tskome eventually became a War Chief himself, and he led many raids against rival tribes of the Setangya.

By the age of 21, he was already a veteran of combat and has become a rather effective war leader. During the Unification, he assisted his father in keeping the peace throughout the Great River as his father negotiated with the other greater tribes. Following the formation of the Dahote Confederation, Peo'tskome led a host of several hundred Dahote warriors throughout the Great River, assimilating smaller tribes through his own form of diplomacy. At the age of 32, Peo'tskome has become a renowned War Chief and he is the leader of the Dahote Warriors, answering only to the Council.

Nowadays, Peo'tskome and his warband defends the western borders of the Dahote against Huritt incursions.

• Reputation:
  As a renowned warrior of the Dahote, Peo'tskome is a feared and respected individual known by many. Currently, he holds the title of War Chief and is in charge of guarding the western reaches of the Dahote. He is a fierce fighter and a feared War Leader with hundreds of warriors loyal to him.
• Weapon Mastery:
  Adept in archery and melee fighting, Peo'tskome is a skilled fighter raised in the way of the warrior. A veteran of many battles, he is generally unfazed by death and combat.
• Weapon of the Gods:
  With Lurish influence barely present within the Dahote, the musket that Peo'tskome wields is still considered by many of the Dahote to be a terrifying weapon granted to the War Chief by the gods themselves. In reality, his musket is a war trophy gained during a raid against the Huritt. Though at first he had no idea as to how to wield the weapon, he now knows how to effectively use it after having been taught by a captured Huritt.

Lurish Explorers and Settlers:
Though he has not encountered or seen a Lurish in his life, Peo'tskome has heard stories of them from defeated Huritt tribesmen and he has personally seen the power of the Lurish firearms (known as Iiniwa or Thunder Spears in Dahote). Terrified yet intrigued at the same time, Peo'tskome often wonders what will happen when the Dahote eventually encounters the Lurish.

The Dahote:
Sharing the same passion as his father to unite the people of the Great River, Peo'tskome's loyalty to his people is unbreakable. Though he sometimes doubt the decisions of the Council, Peo'tskome is still willing to do anything for the Confederation.

The Dahote Confederation:
A relatively new Confederation, the Dahote was founded by Chief Megedagik of the Setangya. A Confederation consisting of many of the Great River tribes, the Dahote is a relatively powerful tribal confederation ruled by a council of Chieftains who each represent their own tribes. The culture of the Dahote tribes is still relatively untouched by Lurish influence, though that may soon change.

The Setangya:
The largest tribal group within the Dahote, the Setangya is a warrior tribe of nomads who inhabit the western territories of the Dahote. For as long as anyone can remember, the Setangya had always survived by raiding smaller tribes, turning them into an effective fighting force. Under the leadership of Chief Megedagik, the tribe began to reform. The first major step was of course to cease hostilities with the other tribes and begin a campaign of peace. But of course, old traditions do not go away easily and the Setangya are still capable warriors, with many of their warriors being the predominant fighting force of the confederation.

The Ahuli:
The second largest tribal group within the Dahote, the Ahuli were once fierce rivals of the Setangya. Hunter-gathering nomads, they often clashed with the Setangya for food and land. Despite this, the Ahuli are a mostly peaceful tribe known for their skilled witch doctors and powerful shamans. Headed by Chief Wahchintonka, the Ahuli were amongst the last to join the Confederation.

The Paytah:
A collection of smaller tribes, the Paytah people are a group of agricultural natives who inhabits the northern reaches of the Dahote. Under the leadership of Chief Matchitisiw, the Paytah remained relatively isolated from the other River tribes, peacefully cultivating the lands north of the Great River. During the Unification, the Paytah were amongst the first to agree with Chief Megedagik. They are the backbone of the Dahote Confederation and their territory serves as the breadbasket of the Dahote.

The Huritt:
Bordering the Dahote, the Huritt are a southwestern tribe of hunter-gathering nomads. Their territory is vast and their people are plenty, and they are generally peaceful towards other tribes and outsiders. Sharing their western borders with the Empire, Lurish influence within the Huritt is quite dominant. Their hunters trade furs for muskets and their warriors are trained in irregular tactics using firearms and bows. With recent Lurish expansion, the Huritt are forced to migrate east to avoid conflict with Lurish settlers and explorers. This often causes problems for them as they are bordered to the east by the Dahote, who sees them as trespassers.

High Chief Megedagik, The Great Tongue:
Head of the Dahote Council and Chieftain of the Setangya, Megedagik is the one who united the River Natives under the Dahote Confederation. A wise man who would rather settle disputes with words than force, Megedagik is renowned throughout the Dahote as being a man of peace, with many respectfully calling him as The Great Tongue. He is also the father of Peo'tskome.

1. The natives in the southwest (bordering Lura) probably see Lurish every day. Those in the northeast have never seen a Lurish in their lives.
