I just remembered that I once read a creepypasta about slenderman killing Hitler and it was actually pretty good. Grammar-wise and stuff I mean, but it was about still slenderman killing hitler :|

Two victims claimed. Where they went, nobody could know, surely. Not even he knew, truth be told. This was all so new, so exciting! Would he dare say... intoxicating?
What new form should he take for the new challengers, the new witnesses? They had already seen his first method of attack; the encroaching shadow. He had planned on having it be his main form of attack which was troublesome. Now that they had all seen it, they would all have to die, and he imagined the hunt would not be as easy as it was with the first two of his victims.
That should not be a problem. In fact, it would be a very good test of his new capabilities. He was grateful that there were so many victims left behind today. So many outcasts just like him. But it was the secret mantra of life, wasn't it? That the weak should be food for the strong.
And that was the way it should have been. Do not hold a grudge against me dear viewer, he is just taking his rightful place.
In the hallway were the others were, around the corner the foreign girl had tripped over, the sludge came. Oozing along, as if it had all the time in the world to be in the place it needed to be. A place juuuuuust beyond where they were, wherever they would be, for all eternity. And if they were swallowed up by it in the meantime, well that was no concern of the sludge, was it?
If the party were to look to their left and their right however, they would see that the sludge wasn't just in the hallway. It was enveloping the classrooms now. Escape was not impossible yet, but it was becoming more improbable by the second.

Post #2 done! If you're participating in it right now, you'll have heard the scream but your characters aren't necessarily in danger yet. There's an epicenter starting from around the NPC girl's location. It's up to you to decide how far away you are, but your goal is to uncover the source and to put a stop to it, one way or another. The sun is setting. The school grounds are bathed in warm, red light, but as the source of day's unapproachable radiance continues to dip below the horizon, the shadows begin to encroach on what is unrightfully theirs.
The halls have already emptied. Some bastions of life still remain, but they have very little reason to still be here. The student at the Library who had lost track of time. A student waiting on her friend from the club.
The sun is sinking. The shadows are growing stronger.
"Manami! You're finally done!" The girl happily exclaimed.
"Yeah, cleaning up took waaaaay longer than it should have." The other girl sighed. "Stupid Junpei, I don't know why we still have him in the club..."
Their enthusiastic chatter continued long into their journey of Clausewitz's empty halls. They had no way of knowing what was to come next, did they? They had no way of knowing the consequences. But who could blame them? It wasn't their fault, after all.
This school, these students... Really, it wasn't their fault.
"Manami, after this do you want to-..." The first girl started to say, but when she turned, her friend was gone.
The shadows were growing longer, almost as if they were reaching out for her. But she hadn't noticed yet.
"Manami...?! Where did you..." She began to speak again, but a coil of shadow suddenly whipped around and grabbed hold of her leg.
A scream! No doubt discovering the caustic properties of the shadow in question.
A flash of light, and the shadow retreated. Its prey did have the ability to fight back after all. Clausewitz... oh, Clausewitz, famed for churning out Champions. But mere strength hadn't been enough to stop this.
The bubbling black ooze was everywhere now. Slowly filling the halls, seemingly coming from nowhere. Relish the hunt my little friends. It's time for the invasion to begin.
Midnight is up and ready to go guys! You can either pick a fight between your characters or you can fight an NPC if you want. Or if you want to keep the process somewhat expedited you can have a bunch of pre-fight banter between you and your opponent to just sort of introduce your characters and we can leave the fights in the background while maybe plot stuff happens in the foreground
The sun's rays don't shine on this place. Darkness reigns supreme. The only weapons there are to fight it are raw talent and burning wills. The Midnight Tournament!
Students from schools all across Rhea compete every week for glory and invaluable experience they may be hard pressed to find anywhere else. 16 students fight every day of the week for the privilege of advancing through to the Final Night, where 8 fighters battle to see who will be crowned a Champion of Midnight. Tonight is not one of those nights, but the competition still promises to be fierce like nothing else.
But there are rumors on the wind. Something is different about tonight for someone. Out of the 16 today, 8 have already been eliminated. That someone has yet to reveal themselves, but now might just be the time.
Hey lads, you all may not know me (well, a lot of you do know me since I was the GM for the last one...) but I've asked permission from the GM, and done a little bit of prep work already, so I'm going to officially introduce myself... as the temporary GM!! Supertinyking, like others have said, has some real life problems to take care of, so I'll be taking his place until those get resolved.
Now this may feel sudden and out of nowhere; and it'll feel somewhat pointless (if you were from the old RP) to be having a new thread and new GM (at least initially) and then to just go back to the old one, but... that is all pretty much dead on. It was sudden, maybe not out of nowhere because STK already wasn't communicating for some time before he officially told us about his problems. But somebody's gotta start something, and I do at least have a baseline of experience to work off of.
That being said, what'll end up happening is hopefully going to be just as much up to you guys as it is to me. Since, what ended the last RP was a good few things, and Real Life was definitely one of those factors; and they could really take me again at any time, I'm sure.
To that end, I'm suggesting a structure to take going forward in regards to our playing the RP. To avoid the RP being stalled on any single person as far as the GM/NPC side goes, stories from now on can go a little something like this. We have a role which is assigned to the player that makes the arc. They're the Plot Master, and the running of the overall arc goes to them.
Progressing stuff and advancing the story is their responsibility. They're the ones with the details about what should be happening, and what's really going on behind everything. But crucially, they don't have to write it all out themselves. They can delegate Scenario Writing and NPC Duty to another willing player if they so choose. The Plot Master will forward the relevant details if they aren't available to write the details themselves, and hopefully this can keep things moving in those times.
At least for me, I will need a couple of people on NPC duty for my initial arcs, but I've already more or less got the right people that can do it. To those people though, this post is definitely the first you're going to hear that I've put you up for NPC duty, so... sorry ^^;.
I have two arcs planned right at this moment which I'll list below;
Midnight is a bar. That may come as a surprise to some old patrons of it, as it has stretched its rules to accommodate a new kind of clientele, and a very old kind of event. The storied Midnight Tournament, is a sequence of tournaments held weekly for the benefit of Students far and wide to test their mettle. 16 students test their might on a given day, and the winners from each night, plus winners of previous weeks; or at least those who had close fights and are strong enough fighters, enter into the final 8 man tournament at the end of the school week.
All of it legal, of course. No alcohol is served before dark, and no minors are allowed after. One can gain a wide variety of experience here against many opponents, or they can just enter for the thrill of being Midnight's Champion.
This particular night however, a challenger arrives unexpectedly, burning right through the competition. Is this unknown person a hidden talent that has only just now come to light? Or is it something else...

The delinquent on the roof who had simply fallen asleep. The sun sinks lower over the horizon, and unfortunately for them, the shadows are growing stronger.
It is known and taught that the Ancient Evil is a threat from a bygone age. All but defeated; rarely, if every impacting any lives in this modern day. But it seems that this is not one of those days. If the source is not found, the shadows will swallow them all. They must survive, or even their tales will all end here.
If anyone I've put up for NPC duty wants to decline, then feel free to tell me in the discord or in here. Speaking of which... I don't know why we don't have the link here (EDIT: Found out why. The links expire in 7 days now). It's the same one from the old thread though, we're still putting it to good use. ^^;
@Letter Bee We don't specifically need to coordinate over discord now. With the way I think I can potentially run things, we don't need to use it all that much. If you still want to join it, tell me and I'll PM you the link.
@Lewascan2 My bet is that we'll start off at a decently fast pace, but we'll slow down eventually to something very much manageable. Once again, real life must rear its ugly heads for us, and we do, and have often had to put off RPing for it. I'm hoping the new structure makes it not nearly as bad as it was before, but... well, I'll leave further details for if you want to ask.
I do recommend you go ahead and join the discord if you're worried about that kind of thing. We can coordinate character responses around each other easier over there, so we don't have to trip over characters that can't be moved. You wouldn't have to be in the server much, just occasionally we'd like to hear you say "Oh, I need to post for my other RPs so I can't post in this one right now," if that needs happen. There's still the issue of approvals which I've asked STK on whether I have the authority to do or not. But besides that, we can start as early as tomorrow potentially if these arcs seem good to all of you. Afterschool Incursion does only take place in one school, but I haven't exactly decided which one yet. It's just whichever has the most players that would want to do it.
If you all also have other ideas for starting arcs for your characters, I'd love to hear them and run them with you if you want. This RP is the space for all of our ideas to come together, so really, don't hold back on my part! I know my own limits, and will express them as such if necessary.
And with that long post out, I'll be going to sleep soon. Once again, we could start tomorrow if we're all happy with it, I'm ready whenever you all are ready!
"I'm certainly glad you asked!" The kitsune grinned excitedly. "Where would you like to start? The forlorn lover? The myriad deaths? The deadly curse...?!?!"
It certainly sounded like trouble, whatever it was. Was this some kind of murder investigation or…?
"Oh, you're talking about the Honjo House, right?" Gotou cut in.
"They finally decided to address it," He nodded. "That's certainly admirable of them."
"Where's your sense of drama?!" The furious Kitsune started pounding Gotou's arm with a series of devastating blows, but no harm was really meant, and none was taken by the barkeep.
The Honjo House was fairly famous in the area. It lay on the outskirts of Sentouji, and had supposedly been haunted for years. A messy trail of owners made it hard to keep the story straight. It'd seen murders, accidents, collapses, and more every time it switched hands. You name it, the Honjo House had it happen. Or so the story goes.
"Are you supposed to do an exorcism? You're certainly the most qualified to do that of anyone here tonight, Aki-san," Gotou said.
"Are you kidding me?! That'd be way too much work. Besides, they don't even know whether it needs an exorcism or not." Aki replied. "This is strictly an investigation, if it's within my ability to solve then I have permission to solve it. They just want some solid information first."
"There might be a ghost, or it might be Oni, who knows?" She shrugged.
Aki turned towards her chosen victims for the night.
"Is that enough information for you?" She asked playfully.
@mito Hmm I think the weakened/malnourished dragon form sounds like a great idea to start weaker like that. I do definitely like that.
a way to increase power beyond the natural specifications, and a way to still unlock the use of arts and other abilities, allowing for character development. and yea, its just adding some options for the future, if there's ever a need to get stronger.
You can just have her learn Arts if you really want to. If she has a human form she can learn Arts. I wouldn't be surprised if an Eastern Dragon could learn arts either tbh, or even western ones. Arts is just a catch all for any system of magic in this setting more or less. Plenty of other ways to go about gaining new abilities depending on how mystical the dragon is.
I suppose it depends on what kind of a main 'theme' you'd want your dragon form to have. Like if it is just being a generic dragon then yeah their abilities might be limited, but if your dragon form is the form of, say, a Storm Dragon you could open yourself up to the possibility of lightning abilities in future.
Lots of possibilities there if we're taking future future. I doubt it'd come up too much since it'd realistically take a while to have to get to that point. I'm pretty alright wity the abilties, otherwise.
