Lhoren is a girl who’s still playing catchup with the teenage development that would come from having the social life she missed out on. She puts on the air of the polite, eloquent noble without realising, and is well-educated. This leads to an unusual dichotomy where she appears mature for her age at first glance but is immature for her age in other aspects, when it comes to the art of casual conversation. Despite all, she is a good-natured and well-meaning, kind girl who almost always means well despite her naivete.

With her pale, clear skin, her soft, shiny flowing white hair and her bright amethyst eyes, Lhoren is an eyecatching girl. Not the kind of girl that would often be called cute or hot. Not as much ‘appealing’ or ‘attractive’, as beautiful and pretty like a doll. More something to be admired than interacted with.
Even when not wearing a dress or corset, Lhoren’s casual attire betrays her noble status. She is very fond of frilly smocks and blouses with flowy sleeves, and her skirts , outside of uniform, never seem to go higher than just above knee-length yet never lower than mid-shin

Lhoren has never received specialist or military training of any kind, but her private tutorage did include being tutored on magic, of which she was gifted. She preferred to use simple spells frequently, for long periods of time, and at any convenience permitted. This has led to her deftness and finesse with minute control over her favourite spells and spell combinations being a lot higher than ordinary.

The Ashdales were one of the richest and most important families of nobles in Barrowton. A big secret to this was that they had a secret; They were conspiring with Perrence against mainland Enth. They would trade in secrets, military plans, rumours of significant weight and credibility. Any information their liaison wanted to know. They also facilitated the mutual asylum of important allies to their cause to and from Barrowton. When this was found out, they themselves left Barrowton and sought asylum in Southern Perrence. This left Barrowton with a severe power vacuum, and missing most of its money. But they didn’t care.
Lhoren was only one year old during this time, and as such was registered and raised as a Perrench citizen. She was a bright child. Intelligent, beautiful and elegant, yet keen to learn. She wanted to connect with the people around her, especially those her own age, but was always treated as an outcast by everybody. To her fellow Perrench nobles, she was an Enthish-by-blood daughter of treacherous snakes. To the children of the city itself, she was a spoiled, rotten noble. So she never truly made friends growing up.
M O T I V A T I O N
The last thing Lhoren wants to be is her parents. She has no interest in willingly engaging in the slimy side of politics. She doesn’t want to line her own pockets selling secrets. As a noble, she hasn’t exactly given thought to what kind of role she does want out of life but that’s one of the things she has come to the academy with intent to discover.
In terms of short term goals, one thing Lhoren seeks out above all else is connections with her peers. More than just that, she wants friends who won’t judge her solely on her nobility, her family history or her Enthish blood.
I N V E N T O R Y
The contents of Lhoren’s dorm room aren’t too alien for a girl her age; makeup, a dressing table, hair brushes and accessories, a full wardrobe and drawers packed with an assortment of different clothes and outfits. The one thing that might not be a common item is a rectangular mahogany box underneath her bed that contains a perrench rapier; a ‘good luck’ gift from her old fencing teacher.
