@Coga19000 Wifi hotspots is probably best way to go about it with them! They have a bit of autonomy, but the point of the Mechy was not that he has robot armies doing battle, it is more like having a second set of hands to help and fight, not go out to town and do whatever. Reason for having such advanced things in a generally back age is because the magic powers them, not cause they just work on their own!

As far as their distance, I couldn't really put a number on them percentage of the ship size (That would mean having to measure out the ship, more work than its worth!) So, about 15-20 feet of distance. Walls and other ordinary objects are not a factor, but stuff more elemental based will definitely cut your 'connection'.

So, we are all back up in the air, and going to get to land, see if we meet up with anyone else on the way, and then get to the section where things get messy. Any questions in the meantime?

Oh, and Coga be careful about those bots. They can't wander far because YOU are the power source for them.
Raven nodded as the mages worked together to seal up the rest of the pipes that had been leaking a bit of steam, and another crewmember wandered in. "Ready to go, sir." Giving the woman a wave, Raven raised his voice so the mages and troops would all hear.

"Its time to move again! Pull yourselves together, finish filling in the holes, and lets move out!" Raven announced, and turned to leave the engine room. He still had not the chance to visit the Master Alexander to even see if he had survived the trip, and had not seen any fantastic light shows that didn't involve the flames. Making his way to what appeared to be a bit of a gathering place, noting the Master Alexander, and other mages in the room.

"Ladies and gents, you might have heard, but the storm has begun to make its move. Meaning the enemy has begun to make their moves. Many thanks, Master Alexander, for your assistance in that...interesting turn of events. I hope that did not tire you, for we have little time to rest to the next battleground." Raven turned about taking in the ship and the room.

"This is where you mages will play your part. We'll be landing a small ways away from the objective and going through a small town. After passing that, we'll have an interesting group to tangle with, and no one knows what else. Terrain will likely be underground, or invisible. There will be mages, and fanatics, and likely a few monsters if what small intel I have is any indicator. If you have any other questions, now is the damn time to ask them."

Meanwhile, the ship quietly rumbled as the propellers above slowly began to pick up speed and the ship slowly righted itself as the metal troops jumped back on board, and went about the halls once again. The harpies and creatures had finally decided that no more prey would come from the ship, and went back to hiding away in the storms. The storm, in its own destructive way, slowly seemed to creep after the ship, but did not keep pace and slowly fell behind them.
@Coga19000

Feel free to climb on. Just don't cause any trouble. Raven gave you a choice of if you found his reasoning pure enough for his morals, so either let your character find it acceptable, or climb on with the golems and try to get acquainted. Being difficult to the commander of a ship who has shit to do kinda doesn't get you high on the list.

Hop on, and get ready to go to some dangerous places, and try to get acquainted!
@Coga19000

No huge worries. I have some big things coming up myself, its just that we hit that all familiar snag where it feels like everyone is waiting for everyone else! If it strikes you to post, just post! It helps keeps things rolling and can make for interesting conversions.

@hoppiholla391

I notice you are artsying things up here! Good stuff, and hopefully things will get moving again as we all get back in the swing of things.
Raven nodded to the mage, and began making his way down to the engine room, with Drew following behind. It would be interesting to have a man with the storms at his fingertips, even if he tried to play it off as a parlor trick. Then again, his armor would probably impress the mage if he had any idea what drove it.

"So, you feel all the waters as they flow around us huh? I guess I had better hope for a storm when we arrive at our destination. We may already be late. A check on the engine room should reveal why. It would typically be an honor for another to be in there, but I imagine the reason we are slowed is because you mages would be able to do something to speed it up." Raven continued down the halls, noting more and more of the troops preparing the ship to go once again, placing things back where they belonged, and just making sure there were not gaping holes in the ship.

"I have never seen it slow, if that is what you are asking. I have seen it grow, and do some very strange things. Perhaps our strange guest would be able to tell you more...particulars. Though, if you think the storm is what people see when they see an elemental, then you should be thanking the gods you are alive. A lot of people would be much happier with this storm not being quite as imposing..."

As they made their way to the engine room, Raven paused to watch the ending of Vana patching up the hull, being able to freely pass by the pair of workers who seemed to be guarding the door. With the commander there, they let Drew in as well.

The sergeant nodded, appreciating the praise of the engine, looking it over as Vana came back down. "Aye, she is has quite the heart don't she? Very well made, tougher than it looks, and able to keep this ship afloat even when she's taken a damn beating like we just did." At the talk of other mages entering, the man shrugged.

"Bah, not too worried about you mages seeing the heart of her at this rate. I'd rather have you seen her and her be well instead of limping along just so you don't see her." As the sergeant turned, he noted the Commander Raven coming through the doorway.

"Mages pretty handy in helping out the girl. Can we keep these guests? They at least serve a purpose." The sergeant called to Raven.

"Maybe this time we can keep a few along. They are quite helpful in the bigger scraps eh?" Raven said with a laugh. "But, I would be happier if this....junk was out of the engine room. I can't have you ending up like that hammer."

"Well, the mages apparently can take care of this, so says the metal one. She says she can get them here too!"

As the propellers were finally reset, many of the crew seemed to give a sigh of relief and went about making sure that they got everything back to its usual condition...and cleaning off the bits of monster that were still scattered about the ship. Once the engine room was all cleaned up, they would be airworthy once again.

Meanwhile, an odd phenomena began to happen with the storm, as it slowly began to stretch in another direction. It was a slow movement, with a few more stones and steel and fire falling outside the bounds of its usual control. Then, more and more it began to stretch northward, like a spike of destruction stretching further out. This obviously did not go unnoticed, as the crew began to call down that the storm was stretching.

Raven heard the shouts as they came down, and shook his head.

"Well mages, clean up the damn engine room. We won't be making any pit stops now. Seems our enemies decided to make their move, and we don't have a time of luxury to do some neatening up."
I'm going to guess that everyone fell asleep on this one. Oh well!
@Luna

All the things. The danger, the new people, the healing, the discussion. All the typical stuff.
Heh, no one in a hurry here. Life things always happen, which is why I prefer casual stuffs. Dedication can be rough sometimes.
Raven could only shake his head at the odd man as he continued to insist on the odd...'moral' question of what they were up to. Either the man had no idea what he was saying, thought he was in a position of power, or just thought asking the question would get all the answers. Regardless, he had little time for the mess as he turned to note a collection of workers coming to the top, some of which who had been stabbed before during the battle, to come repair. He would have to give his thanks to Master Alexander later...or perhaps right now if this man didn't start making sense.

"Mage, you make very little sense to me, nor of what question you seek an answer to. The storm shows no morals, and yet we made it through without asking it for safe passage. As such, we also seek to make sure it does not decide otherwise if it were to say...spread in a new direction. If that is what you seek to know, then be done with it." Raven replied, figuring speaking a bit more cryptically would at least make some sense to the mage...or get him frustrated enough to leave them to their work. Turning to go back, he noted another mage waiting, though oddly could not recall the man, other than the assistance he gave in covering their escape from the decks moments before.

"Fine work during the fight, you must be quite fierce to battle with in general! I wonder if you would be interested in staying with the ship longer after this particular...mission? Storms are quite the force to use as a weapon, as we've both seen." Raven complimented the mage, keeping a sharp eye on the other mage, already knowing that the metal guards would handle the other problems.

As Vana began to make her way up, the man with the metal arm brought over a ladder, leaning it against the hull of the ship. "There are easier ways than just....well, jumping into things?" The man said, as another worker took a hammer to one of the ice spikes for it to freeze the hammer. "DON'T WASTE THE DAMN TOOLS!"

Turning his attention back to Vana, he decided to best find out what she meant. "So, your friends can take care of these? They are not a problem...but someone falling on em might be...problematic. Thank ya for the help though. Not many people we would want in here usually, but...she's a bit hurt, and will not feel well unless we get the extra help, ya know?"

As they worked up to the top, the engine seemed to slowly be calming down from its previous frantic pace, which in itself seemed to calm the collection of men and women in the room.

A man who had been helping another worker back to his feet chuckled at Alexander. "Well, that should hopefully be the last time today we do that. Works wonders, can make a bit of a mess on the deck, but the bastards got what they deserved!" The man laughed, entertained by whatever he was talking about. "But, maybe you don't need to worry about that. We took care of the big problem, so now we should have an easy time getting back to the city."

"They'll probably boost the rotors again, and we'll take off as long as the engines are alright from that disaster. And no one caught anything...contagious from the storm...You don't think there is anything like that? Like, Storm Sickness or something?"
