WELCOME TO APERTURE

*This is not an RP exclusive to fans of the Portal games. However if you have played them then great because I want this RP to have that sort of feel to it. Regardless, read on*

Hello Subject- I uh.. I mean heroes! That's right, each of you are heroes in your own way. -How can anyone believe this? Who wrote this? Kenny? Kenny your fired!- *Sounds of paper crumpling up* As I was saying you are heroes of science! Without your mostly reuctant contribution of time and the occasional extremity science would grow stagnant so take solace in that while your bones turn into water vapor. I've been told it's rather painful so take what you can get. So with an optimistic attitude step forward into your testing facility and we can begin!

Uh oh. Attention testers, I have received an urgent notice for all those who have been coated in the fireproof paste, please avoid direct, or indirect, contact with nitrogen, in any form. Apparently it combusts upon contact. Don't worry, the irony is not lost on me. Not one bit.

*Muffled explosions*

Ah, see that is what happens when people don't listen. Not to worry, our nitrogen testing labs are far below us so exposure is very unlike- What do you mean it makes up most of the air?

*Even more explosion although less muffled*

I am afraid to announce that there shall be an emergency evacuation now of all staff members of Aperture. Do not worry valiant subjects. You are in no danger as long as you stay in the testing chambers. Only about half of them are close enough to those very mild explosions to risk any danger to their occupants. A friendly AI will be guiding you through the rest of your time here.

*static*

Alright then. Here is a bit of info about what the hell is actually happening. Our various characters are all test subjects of Aperture Science, all of whom are testing out different inventions and stuff. Weird stuff. Some of that stuff is not exactly... natural.

It is up to you what the invention you decide to give your character and I will do my very best to let you decide what is and isn't acceptable. Nothing too OP though. Alien technologies and to a rather mild extant magical experimentation is allowed as well as biological manipulation.

Character sheet is pretty basic:

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Appearance:(anime pic, not anime pic, super not anime pic, words, animation, virtual reality, a mirror, really clever use of ascii symbols and things, all of these are acceptable methods of purveying what your character looks like)
Personality: 
History: (You can keep your dark and mystery soaked backstories secret but you must include how they came to Apperture and what they did beforehand.)
Experimental device: Go wild here. As I said earlier I will be as lenient as possible.

Include more as you see fit. That's just a sort of bare minimum and you can go completely off book and do your own cs layout as long as it includes those things.
