Jun watched with some degree of amazement at the casual just…what? Dirtblood? Whoever would just drop that, with little to no regard to just who they were talking to in an official manner no less, was clearly not fit for the role as student advisor. She didn’t consider it to be proper behavior, no matter what the school administration said Rin was or wasn’t qualified to do or be. They could be wrong, human as they were, or they could be blind to exactly how a person acts when they get a taste of power. Rin hadn’t had many instances of her leading others, Jun guessed, hadn’t demonstrated tendencies before. For that matter, this most definitely was one of the first times she was in a position of power judging by how nervous the girl had acted before. Swinging between nervous indecision when others acted out of line and harsh, overt cruelties when others threatened her…that wasn’t the makings of a teacher, surely, nor a student advisor.

Then the professor entered the room and things were worse. He used the phrase, too, as Jun gave a harsh stare to the man. What. She couldn’t quite grasp the whole of the issue, the whole fact that not only did Rin feel so carefree as to use a term like that, but that the appointed professor was too. What sort of ‘heroes’ did Eirei even produce? What sort of people did it make and hire that it felt comfortable in hiring such a person with such a personality? It called into question much as the man introduced himself, raged a bit at Mia…calling the entirety of the class Dirtbloods, Nullbloods, Truebloods before assigning the class detention…for a month. Of course, then the professor gave a list of those exempted.

Mawatari. Mamushi. Himura. Yuzuki.

She stared still, swallowing while considering the whole of the issue at hand. She’d been given a reprieve, sure, but it was a reprieve shared with the individual who had caused much of the whole event, Himura. That wasn’t quite comfortable with Jun, that Rin would be there, though in all honesty Hebi and Akira were deserving of the out. They hadn’t done anything exactly wrong, not as far as Jun could recall. Jun coughed, though, summoning up her courage to speak up with a long breath.

“Sir, thank you but I will take the detention.”
Color me interested. Halfway contemplating a cousin of Talos, built by the three brother Cyclopes in a bid to see if they could out-do the god himself. During the civil war, that automaton would distinguish himself well enough, either through slaying one of the minor gods or besting them, that he would be given some degree of status - though I'm unsure what.

A lot happened.

Jun, for her part, had turned back away from Yusuke after she had initiated her quirk, after she had ensured he’d shut up. Sure, some of the other members of the class hadn’t caught on to it, and some of them were far more angry at the idiot than others, but some of those still had some measure of what a hero was supposed to do. Some complained at him, one even threw a book…though that was caught before Jun had really entirely focused in against it, and others talked against one-another. Kaiga and Rin butted heads briefly about respect in the classroom. It was all very, very tiresome to Jun, who was slowly gaining a headache from all the talk and complaint and anger in the room.

Of course, then things got very, very angry. She felt her distance…break, suddenly, as weird as that feeling could be said. It was like another had taken a taut wire and cut it, the tension releasing at both ends, something Jun had never quite experienced save once, long enough ago that she struggled to recall the feeling. Whipping around, the sight Jun was greeted with wasn't an entirely good one. Yusuke had changed, shifted, altered to something else. His hair was flaming and hissing, his eyes full of intent, and Jun’s immediate reaction was to increase that distance, to increase that distance between her and the chimera before her as a snap decision. Yusuke said something, though Jun didn’t quite catch it as she stood out from her chair.

Then he was shot.

The room filled with the noise of gunshots, Yusuke went down like a sack, Kaiga screamed while staring at his pad, and one student exploded into petals. Mia. Jun stared with wide enough eyes at the whole of the scenario, even as Rin fired the gun into the ceiling for good measure. Who in the heck had given her a gun? The question seemed to be in a few minds as Hebi voiced some…cutting concerns about the issue and Mia hissed out her annoyance at the clearly irresponsible handling of something that could very likely kill someone if used improperly. As quick as a flash, though, Mia had already started to look over the injuries of the idiot, look over the welts and dribbles of blood. She gave instructions to Kaiga, who’d volunteered for bringing Yusuke down to the nurse, before turning full fury against the supposed teacher.

Jun stared, not wanting to interrupt the good, honest moment…and the good, honest threat. Then another student entered the room…Yui, one of the students that had also not gone through the Sports Festival. He said something about missing the fun. Jun snorted, shaking her head.

“Not really, no. I wouldn’t call it fun.”

A turn of the head at Rin and Mia, the girl looking at the junior professor for her response with a taut enough look. Jun really did want to hear the reasoning, the excuse, the…something from Rin, the anything from her.

“I already told you, I was looking for information on Celebi. Like I know, that woman talked in way too many riddles.”

“Hey-you stop that…tch, whatever. I’m heading home. Come with or not, I don’t care any more I’m done hanging around here…Especially if that…Heracross is still around.”

Isla paused, looking back at the priestess with a frown on her face. She’d gone to the grove specifically to see parts of it, not to just…arrive, talk to a random woman whose actual purposes for such weren’t entirely clear, and leave because Pokémon nearby were more or less annoyed by the existence of people. What had caused it? Would just…running back to the temple at Pines End really solve it? Something had happened, the young girl was pretty sure about that, and just…walking between points surely wouldn’t turn it back.

“What? Well, we should…look around here, shouldn’t we? Isn’t that why we came here?” She turned back to look over the grove, nodding slowly to herself while continuing on speaking. Walking over to get a closer look, Isla’s tone was a forced sort of steady, especially with how the encounter with that Heracross had gone. Sure, they had fended it off, but they hadn’t beaten it per-say. Yasu’s mention of it had set her back on edge just a bit. “I mean, I thought we went here to look at this shrine, see if there was anything around.”

Swiper, for his part, had bounded forward about where the woman, where Leah had been standing just before. Pausing just a moment and looking back, he began to look about the area as though to see if the woman had dropped something, anything, a frantic sort of energy to the whole issue. Dancing, though, kept to the fringe before walking up to the cut pillar, smelling about it before whining lightly. There was annoyance to be found in the fact that there weren’t any berries about the grove, despite it being named so, weren’t any berries about the clearing, and he trotted out and away from the fallen pillar towards Isla.

“Maybe it’s the grove itself. That it’s knocked over and broken and…burned?” The young girl leaned a bit as she closed the distance with the shrine. What did the burns mean? Why were they there? Who did them? Isla didn’t recall any sorts of Pokémon that burned markings into their territory as a marking, or even burned markings into other locations. Was it done by a person? Would that sort of defacement cause Celebi to…well, she didn’t quite know. Leave? Withdraw a blessing? Stop talking? Surely something as mythical as Celebi would understand forgiveness or…well, again, Isla didn’t quite know. Wouldn’t it, though? That all still assumed that burned markings, a destroyed grove, would be the actual cause for the problems?

“What did it look like last time?” She called back to Yasu, thinking the priestess had been there before. Surely she’d visited before, she knew where it was and everything. Maybe it looked the same then, but the problem hadn’t yet come up. Isla really wasn’t sure. Of course, then Dancing had finally intercepted her, thudding with some force against Isla’s leg before looking out and about for the girl to start walking in a semi-dance. Pausing, in part to look at the shrine again, in part to fish out a bag of semi-sweet strawberry bits, Isla opened it to drop one to the Eevee. Catching it in his mouth before it fell to the ground, Dancing took a step back, looking up at his trainer expectantly.

Isla popped one in her mouth, hemming and hawing. “Camila, did the professor ever…mention this site or anything?”

Another long sigh, as Jun listened to a few other members of the class going on this way and that. Hebi was easily enough the spitfire, annoyed by the festival and how that all went most likely, openly questioning exactly how things would go with a Second Year while Kaiga defended the girl. He had more faith in the decisions of the staff than others, that was for sure, though Jun kept her eyes closed throughout the exchange. She really, really didn’t want to jump in, especially when things were entirely uncertain thus far.

Of course, that was when another jumped in. Yusuke. A click clack on the mouse and he was throwing insults left, right, and center, talking about how the others didn't know, calling others mongrels. She didn't see whatever he'd brought up on that page. She didn't need to. Jun slowly brought her chair back to its normal position, setting the icepack down again. Hebi said something halfway resembling a praise, halfway to an insult, and entirely scathing…something Jun might disapprove of under normal circumstances. Yet, of course, things weren’t entirely normal. She twisted about in her chair, fixing him with a glare.

A click of her quirk. Two points - the upper and lower lip. A three foot distance would do for her purposes. That was really all it took.

“Yusuke, shut up.”

Jun Mawatari was, as could be expected from someone who had just moved heaven and earth to push through the Sports Festival, as tired as could be. It wasn’t just the constant use of her quirk, but also all the absolute running and movement, just…the normal physical part of it all. An icepack rested on her forehead, the third one she had gotten alongside the normal care offered by Eirei’s staff, as she leaned back in her chair to enjoy the whole of it with her school jacket unbuttoned down two or so. Her mind ran through the events, how they went, the feelings there, but also…

She couldn’t help but not think about the reaction afterwards, though. Did they just…want Jun to sit things out throughout the whole event? To just not do what she could do? Sure, the first event was as hard as could be, dodging through the obstacle course as they’d did…her quirk didn’t increase reaction time, after all…and the second had been a practical cakewalk as the girl had snagged nearly everyone’s headbands off before most had gotten up to any sort of speed, but the final battle had been as hard as could be. There were a lot of people focused on removing her, focused on taking her out from that ring, though admittedly Jun had taken out the worst fighters through something perhaps less than respectful. Just…change that distance to outside of the ring from the opponent, push them out, and that was that…over before it really could begin…but she’d tried to keep things better for the other students she actually respected. It’d been hard, but all told it had been a sweep for the girl. Did they just…not want her there at all? And what, not know what sorts of other things they could face out and about?

Jun didn’t know. She absorbed the ice cold feeling from the pack, let it run about as lines of water ran down the sides of her face. It seemed like there was nothing else, just heavy breathing here and there from some of the other classmates. They’d pushed themselves too, make no mistake about that, though some had it harder than others. Jun almost felt sorry for Hebi, specific as her quirk was. A cough rang out into the classroom, filling that empty space, and Jun opened her eyes, sat forward while still holding the icepack to her forehead. The girl before them scant could be older than some of the eldest in 1B, though the tone held was a bit more nervous than otherwise.

"Himura Rin of 2A, I'll be your Professor for an indefinite period ara. As we know we're all reshuffled for every second term of the school year based on grades and Sportsfest, pretty much overall activeness, that's all for now, internships will be starting tomorrow but today, I'll let all of your battered mind and body, slack."

A Second Year as professor? Jun’s heart dropped at the prospect. Surely that wouldn’t do well for the more impulsive people in the class, not to mention their actual education might struggle here or there simply because Rin seemed so…just…young. Sure, she was ahead of them, but compared to an actual professor, someone who had been around to the real world, fought real villains, been a real Pro Hero…someone who had struggled and grown, would Rin even have a portion of the knowledge they might? Could she? Jun wasn’t sure, really wasn’t sure, though the idea that they wouldn’t quite be pushing so hard for the rest of the day was just the slightest relief. She breathed out, looked over the digital board.

It really wasn't all that much, between assigning dorms and internships, but still Jun didn’t really want to think about all of it. Did she really want to try and think about that living arrangement when the rest of the class was panting away beside her? Did she really want to think about the great future, about the internships that likely would all be flowing out into her inbox by any Hero Agency wanting someone who just absolutely pushed on through the festival? The answer to both of those was a strong no, not in the moment. Jun sighed at those thoughts, all of them.

"To conclude, Endeavor and the staff only broadcasted the Sports Fest to the Hero Commission, you're all gonna get a copy but please keep it a secret, I'll be firedropping these on your Hawkpads"

Well, that's optimistic. Setting down the icepack on the desk, which proved to be the next brick in her slowly growing pyramid, Jun slid on her goggles, opened up her little screen, and watched as…yeah, there was the footage alongside something else. It was brief, but then again it was also cut off. Endeavor Agency. Why was Jun not surprised by that sort of thing. Sliding her goggles off and replacing them with that same icepack, the girl sighed.

“What a day.”

“No.” The woman would retort with a small smile. “I have one last Cryptic little thing to tell you, Miss Yasu. What you have lost, has returned to the start.” Leah would clap her hands. “Now, a gift to commemorate our first meeting. You are all trainers, yes?”

Taking the card, Isla turned it over a few times in her hand, looking over the thing as the woman talked. It seemed to be a genuinely normal card, all things considered, gold laminated with a little…she didn’t know what the specific Pokémon was, but a sleeping Pokémon on it. She talked about an old friend or something along that line, a friend that had drifted off and away. Waiting on a friend and never receiving guests…something was up with the woman, had to be, yet Isla couldn’t quite figure out what.

She pocketed the card, mumbling a ‘thank you’ amid all the back-and-forth between the woman and Yasu. The latter seemed full of some amount of…annoyance and disdain, the tension enough to cut the air, and Isla didn’t really feel like interrupting that sort of thing with some form of positivity or…something. It just felt wrong, she couldn’t formulate the real reason why. Nevertheless, as they watched Leah walk off, Camila spoke.

"Well, that's nice. You got a VIP card to that hotel then."

"Right now that that lady is gone, what were you looking for here, exactly? Anything we can help find? The place looks rather destroyed."

If I ever want to stop there. “Yeah uh…yeah. What did she mean, anyways, that…what was lost returned to the beginning? Seemed to have a hint of things.”
