Hello, i'm looking for very realistic fights between units of different types, like, what if a Spartan Warrior fought a medieval knight with the same tech, steel, and went head to head in a fight, and so forth. Can be various time frames, futuristic battles of tech to some degree, medieval battles, anicent battles, or a mix of the sorts till one falls. I've been doing battle RP for awhile now and i'm looking for some fun types of challenges to do, if you can maintain the serious flow for it then by all means, can even be a group fight if anything for more diversity in the match.

Sounds interesting. You would have to give me more specifics on the level of power. From what I am seeing, I am guessing it is strictly realistic(No magic, mythological races, ect.) Either way, I think this would be fun, though I tend to shy away from group fights, due to...annoying experiences. I tend towards T1 PC, due to it's complicated, yet very fun nature(Assuming you have an experienced opponent, who knows the difference between it and God-modding), but I can do any form of T1.

I go with the base T1 rules, standard, on the Eden site that's used all around. Much easier to do, especially for these types of battles, and yeah. This'll be a fully realistic battle, no magic, no superpowers, no advanced races, just humans of specific skill sets and equipment duking it out in some way. Can put in small bands of NPC types to have a interesting mix of RP between unit to unit, which our characters being the most skilled of the lot, and if your char encountered the NPCs then you can kill them off as long as it feels realistic about it according to natural skills, like it wouldn't make sense for a gaul to easily dispatch a Spartan Hoplite like it was nothing in a fight, unless it was a backstab or something, so some good detail explaining how the fight went down, long or otherwise, then continue.

Okay. Sounds good. Something simple, yet with elements that allow for an interesting, and descriptive battle. I am up for something like this. Definitely. What kind of setting, and fighting style are you looking at? Futuristic, Ancient, Modern? I would prefer something along the lines of Ancient(Gladiators, Ronin, Archers, ect.), but I am up for whatever it comes down to.

I prefer medieval/ancient, i'm much better at it then anything truthfully. Since I keep mentioning Spartans, I plan to play a small band of close knit Spartans for this battle. Can choose whatever you want of that era to be honest, I don't mind. Armor and weapons will be the tiers matching that of each other though, so there is no advantages over each other based on the tier of equipment, numbers will be even as-well. I'll go with six Spartans for my side, you'll have six total as-well on whatever you pick. The sixth unit will be the general, our characters, the rest you can command in a bit of a story form to find the enemy and fight them down based on what our sides would actually do in a fight realistically.

Sounds good. I was thinking about a Mercenary setup of an Archer(Bow/Arrows/Shortsword/Leather Armor), Swordsman(Nodachi/Katana/Wakazashi/Mesh Armor), Vanguard(Spear/Longsword/Kite Shield/Scale and Plate Armor), Berserker(Two-handed Battle Axe/Throwing Axes/Leather and Plate Armor), Scout/Assassin(Two Shortswords/Two Daggers/Light Crossbow/Leather and Cloth Armor), Ronin(General)(Two Katana/Wakazashi/Clothes)

Any objections?

Hm. As long as it's not all that equipment, and realistic amounts per member, variation then sure, it can work. I might switch my flow up in that case.

I'll go with two spartans, a Royal Spartan highest of their tier(the general of the band), and a Spartan Hoplite, standard soldier.(Steel curiass(for this generation of combat) protecting chest, upper arms and thighs, steel greaves to the knees, armguards for the forearms and the usual pilos helmet with red transverse horsehair crests on the top to identify rank for the Royal Spartan; weapons include a Xiphos, well made steel sword compared to usual models of the sword at their belt, a Doru spear and a javelin for throwing. Alongside this their original Spartan shield which they always keep near)

A viking berserker (chainmail armor, two handed long ax, medium length straight sword, medium round shield, two throwing axes)

A medieval foot-knight (half plate full armor, morningstar and heater shield, dirk at the belt.)

For the last two they will be a English Yeoman Longbowman (Light leather armor, black cap on the head, full quiver of bodkin arrows, yew longbow and a short sword at the belt) and a ninja (pure black cloth, facemask, ninjato sword at the lower back, kunai knives at the belt, a chain and sickle kusarigama, and the soft cased shell explosives of different types, majorly smoke and carefully packed glass sharpnel pieces inside the ball so upon contact releases many small bits of glass at the opponent, typically the eyes)

If that's alright, limited equipment to realistic standards as-well for the run.

Okay. Lets set up Character Sheets. Names for the soldiers, their equipment, appearance, ect. After that, we can gauge the full set up, and even things out.

We can set that up on the actual battle thread to be honest, no need for sheets here. We both know the skill sets and equipment that can have at one time, no one can have seven swords and both plate mail and scale armor, for instance, or carry tons and tons of gadgets upon them.

Of course. And when I noted both Scale and Plate Armor, I was referring to Plate and Scale Mesh armor. <.< >.> Sorry for the communication.

That's fine, i was just giving an example. I don't mind if you want to start off the RP on a battle thread/arena that is in the appropriate section, pick the arena and starting positions and such, give a slight advantage to yourself if you want. Up to you, I may be slow posting responses in any rate, RL catching up to me, but I won't abandon the Rp till either one of us wins or loses.

I try to keep fights as fair as possible, no matter the skill of my opponent. I find it best to learn, instead of to cheat.

I will have the Thread and Arena details therein by the end of the night....Hopefully.

Got my chars up for the thread. Are you fine with starting some ways apart and building up to it with survival and such in the forest as-well? Having like a mini story while they prep for the fight against the enemy somewhere in the forest

Enough to have a interesting build up to things, probably involve day night venturing, gathering food and surviving. Seeing if the enemy will notice the surviving of campgrounds, etc.

There we go, should be good enough for a introduction, big forest so two hours isn't much to go through it all at a slow pace. Should be night time by the time yours ends, can leave it up to you whatever your band does of course through the first post.
