Alright, this is a little unconventional but in the interest of making sure people have something to do while I'm gone, I'm going to post the general responses that the man's wife would give to the questions you're most likely to ask.

The adventurers reach the inn where the herbologist's wife and their child are staying, assuming they chose this path instead of going directly into the wilderness to look for him, and she is called from her room to meet them if they inquire about her. Upon being asked where her husband most likely is, she tells them that their child has an infection that can be cured by a very young deathroot leaf. If the plant sprouted more than a few days ago, the toxins would be too powerful and would harm their child as well as the infection. Because of its use in poisons, deathroot plants growing near cities are usually uprooted and burned, so he most likely would have had to travel into the wilderness.
I work today too. Just so you all know, my schedule is 5:45 PM to 4:15 AM Eastern Time, Wednesday - Saturday.
He sent it to me via PM. He or I can probably copy/paste it for you though.
Haha, I'm sure there will be. Since there were two quests there, I assume things will still be fine if everybody doesn't leave as one group and in fact that might be preferable. Anyone who doesn't leave with the group trying to save this missing herbologist can go on the other quest I have planned, which is to retrieve money which was taken from a barmaiden and her family.
Anyone among them who had read the notice would recall what it specifically said: "My husband left to find herbs for our sick child in the wilderness outside the city and has not been back in several days. I fear for his life and request that anyone able and wiling would search outside of town for him. We can offer little in the way of coin, but he and I are both knowledgeable herbologists and will provide you with any manner of healing tonic we have the means to make as a reward for your efforts."
It seems like everyone has chosen a tavern as the meeting place for the party Sam, that would probably be the easiest place for you to start. Once you guys get a group together I'll elaborate on those Chanter's board quests.
The guardsman awoke with a start. He was gasping and took a moment to gain focus. He was disoriented and quite possibly mildly drunk. "Wha?! Wardensh...? Orlesian wardens... every surviving one... staying in imperial palace..." He squinted and started to nod off again, still not convinced he wasn't dreaming.
I've been saying I wanted to close off character submissions, but I guess one more wouldn't hurt. You can post your character sheet in the character sheet thread or pm it to me.
The Grey Warden's journey led him to a dirty back alley with little of note. There was a guardsman there who appeared to be sleeping, probably taking a break from the chaos outside.
There was an inn that looked relatively empty not too far from where Zeynep and Gavlan were. There were enough drunk people in and around it for one to draw the conclusion that they had alcohol of some form available.

There were notices on top of notices on the chanter's board, many of which looked hastily written and offered jobs that would be very difficult for one person to do for little reward. Among the most recently posted were two, respectively titled "Help find my missing husband" "Stolen money."
