Yes, it would, but the next post you make in the IC can't be where the humans are nice, remember, the humans hate dragons with the very fiber of their souls, they want to see all the dragons and hatchlings die in horrible agonizing flaming pain and torture
And yeah, I can imagine Mei-Qi sneaking onto the roof of the royalty's castle as a dragon, changing into a human, sneaking to the throne room and whispering orders to the King... creepy but awesome

Soreth saw Mei-Qi trying to atract the attention of the humans. She would stay watching up in the clouds, but if the humans did try and kill her Hatchling, she would pick up her Hatchling and take her back to the nest, probably punishing her in some way.
soreth whispered into the ears of Kristall and Echalis. "I will be back soon." and with that, she took off into the sky silently, flying high enough so that Mei-Qi couldn't see her but low enough so that she could see Mei-Qi.

Aren't her powers where she can change from human to dragon at will?
I'd think the others would be jealous, not only would your dragon be able to whisper things in the ears of royalty, sort of controlling the city without them even knowing it, and also, there's almost no chance of you dying from a human... well, I guess we'll see what happens

Soreth saw the greed and powerhungry-ness in her Hatchling's eyes. "Indeed." Soreth smiled. "Eventually, you will be powerful enough to command the humans to do whatever you want. You will have power over whatever human village or city you desire."
Ok, right now in the RP it's the middle of night, so you'll be sleeping.
Soreth smiled. Her Hatchling was developing a craving of things that the human's possessed. This was good. "Only in the very large city with the Kings and Queens." she explained. "Not in the small village I will be taking you to." Soreth thought for a moment. "Eventually, when you get a little older, I will take you to a large city, and you will be able to take whatever you want."
