The reason he became a hero and the reason he joined the Teen Titans was so that firstly, he would try and meet people and make friends so he wouldn't end up like his mother, and secondly, he joined because he saw what the power of his powers could do, and he wanted to help other people.

Indeed, this was a good RP, but I'm unsubbing it. It's clearly dead, dead and buried thirty feet under the ground, surrounded by cement and unable to be dug up
Sam was bored in his cell. He heard some shouts in the hallway and the whimpering of some little girl, but those didn't satisfy his boredom. He looked to the hallway and saw plenty of ghosts. Now that fascinated him. He loved to see the ghosts that he now had the ability to see. he wondered what was going to happen next. Maybe they'd have a party. That would fun.

Skills: Sam is good at stealth, he knows where and how to hide and how to sneak with effectiveness. He's not good at making friends, or being near people in general.
Powers:
Look Closely, my dear: Sam's eyes will go wide and his pupils will go small. He has a blank face and doesn't look like he has any emotion. When he does this, if he manages to make you look at his eyes, fear and insanity will start trying to seep into your soul. Beatable if you either look away before too much seeps in or you make him stop doing this.
Quietly, now. They mustn't see: A large area near him is basked in darkness, and light sources that would usually light up an entire room barely go past your face. When he basked it the area in darkness, he'll find a place to hide, crawl into the shadows, and then either hide from you or use his other powers on you. The darkness goes away if you find him before he finds you.
Shush, my child: Sam calls the shadows to fight for him, forming creatures out of the darkness to fight for him. These creatures follow his commands intensely, and will do whatever it takes to follow his orders. He can either summon large amounts of weak creatures, a small amount of strong creatures, or somewhere inbetween.
A Shadow's tip: Sam summons a dark sword from the shadows. It basically a normal sword, but if it cuts you, any blood that comes out seeps into the shadows and can heal Sam.
Equipment: Only carries around his Shadow sword
Personality: Sam is insane. He is afraid of the shadows, but also not afraid of the shadows. he controls them, and they control him. When he's not in his huddled insane form, he's a relatively nice guy who just wants to make friends and have a family, but hard to make friends with, as he usually just tries to seclude himself. Only insane when near darkness or shadows. Spend most of his time in a dark area. If you tried hard enough and got him out of the darkness, you could make friends with him.
History: Sam Quit was born in New York, and he lived in an apartment. Ever since he was young, he had the power over the mind. He could control anything to do with the brain or mentality. His mother was depressed and afraid of everything, and his father was normally doing his best to take care of them during their hard times. His father worked as a construction worker, and one day, while at work, Sam's father was killed in an accident. Sam fell asleep, sad but determined to get a job and help his mother. What he didn't know, was that as he slept, his mother snapped, and she hung herself from their ceiling fan. He awoke in the morning and found her hung. Determined to not end up like her, he gripped on to what was left of his sanity, but he got some of his mother's fear of darkness. Sam then found out that through his lost of most of his sanity, his powers had changed, and instead he just had the powers of fear and darkness, but more powerful. He set out to find a job, so that he would end up not like his mother or his father. he found out he could get a job as a Teen Titan, and he quickly rushed to join.

I guess they have family stuff to attend to.... oh, that's right! On the fourth of july, I probably wont be on at all because my family will be coming over, and we rented one of those slides, and then we'll be doing fireworks. Just remebered and I wanted to let you know :)

Zed awoke from his sleep. He was in a cage. Barely big enough for him to fit, but enough room to sleep. He looked about the room. They had told him this was his first time seeing the other test subjects... he guessed that these were the others. He had been confined to a lab table for a few days, before that he remembered growing in a tube. When they took him out, the light and the cold had scared him, and he had tried to escape. They tranquilized him and tied him to a lab table. While he slept, they had messed around with his brain. He felt different, and as soon as he saw the scientists he saw why. He saw ghostly images of what they were going to do before they even did it. They told him about the others and he tried to escape, but they tranq'd him again. He woke up and how he was here. He saw the ghostly images, and it amazed him.
