"No, you go sleep. I'll watch her overnight." he sighed. "I feel bad she's in this state, she probably wouldn't be in it if I hadn't shrouded the area in darkness. Besides, darkness is my territory, I'll do better against an assassin, and if it's my brother, I know him more than anyone." he had been listening in while all of them were arguing, leaning against the wall.
Sam got up and followed. It was a bit of his fault she was so injured...
Soreth heard one of the eggs cracking so she got out of the hole she was digging. "I will be back in a moment." she said as she flew off. "Another egg is hatching." she flew back towards the nest and saw a hatchling trying to escape from it's white prison, so she made some holes and pulled it out. She inspected it like the others. "You shall be named Misterie, for you shall influence the feelings of those around you." she picked up the Hatchling and carried it to the mountain where the others were. She went back to her hole and began digging again.

Sam frowned. This girl was a bitch. What did she expect? Him to be able to do 100% perfect on his first fight against a villain, ever? And the fact that he had barely ever used his powers before then didn't help. He wasn't sure if they knew about his sanity levels when he's near shadows, so that might help spread some light on that issue. He made his shadows take the girl back to the Tower, and he followed behind. When they got to the Tower, he took her to an unoccupied room and set her on the bed. He dissumoned the creatures and then walked back to the living room, take out some of the leftover food, then taking it to the table and eating it.
Sam dissipated all the darkness and the insane look in his eyes disappeared. "He escaped." he said, unhappily. He summoned some shadow creatures that helped her up. "My shadows should be able to take her to the hospital... or do we take her back to the Tower? Do we have, like, a healing station or something?"
(( Does nobody understand the definition of 'you could see 2 inches from your face'?Because it seems like somehow, you all know how to fight in complete and utter darkness, and Night Terror doesn't even seem to care about any sort of fire-ant shadow demons swarming him... -_- ))
Soreth lifted her head from the ground. "Kristall asked if we could go hunt for jewels, so I took us to this mountain. You can dig for jewels, go fly with Zoru, or anything along the lines of that, just don't strain away from the mountain.

Very much later in the series, when all the heroes and villains have gotten more powerful and trained with their powers, while being insane in the darkness during a battle, Night Terror tries to turn his brother into a villain, like him, when he's weak and unacceptable in his insane-state, and for a while Sam is a villain and the Teen Titans have to help him out

Sam was busy cutting up some off the Villains with his sword, enough to let the shadows seep into their souls and harvest their minds, when he saw his allies getting totally beat up by his brother. "Oh, no you don't, brother..." his eyes turned black for a moment and the darkness that had surrounded the area had turned from night-time darkness to darkness from some creepy old basement. You literally could not see two inches from you face. Even his brother couldn't resist the darkness, it was too dark for anyone not accepting the shadow's insanity like he did. He could, though, he could see anywhere in the shadows. He made all of his shadow creatures swarm around and surround his brother.
