Let's say that it was 11:00 pm when Sam high-fived some guy who could summon pies. At 12:00 midnight, he'd gain that power. Then let's say in the morning he shake hands when some guy who could summon cats. If he doesn't come into contact with anyone else until 12:00 midnight, he'd be able to gain that power at 12:00. So basically, his power is reset to whatever the last prson he came into contact with every 24 hours

Zaen chuckled and sat in the nearest chair. He folded his legs and out his arms behind his head, chuckling insanely.
Adris summoned more bats, continualy, who moved to the eyes and blinded the boss. He summoned some more cats who all swiped at the eyes of the beast. He sturggled a bit and faltered, the bats stopped flowing for a bit, but then went up again. He summoned a pack of boars, who began ramming the legs, in an attempt to trip the boss, they would move if it tried to stomp them.
