@AgentNevada Ark's mouth hung open inside her helmet "How had she seen that guy?" she thought to herself. Then Ark continued to sprint after Ken, and then slowed down as they approached they comm tower. Then a feeling of dread washed over Ark as she felt a presence behind her and Ken, Ark's muscles tensed as she whipped around to find a group of guards, unfortunately Ark hadn't turn around fast enough and earned a knife to the thigh, Ark hissed in pain and roundhouse kicked the guy away from her. She looked to Ken and found nothing but a pile of dead soldiers on ground and a satisfied grin on Ken's face.

@AgentNevada Ark held onto her bag as show dove out of the shuttle after Ken. As the ground slowly got closer and closer Ark pulled the strings on her pack and a small parachute flew out behind her. When Ken and Ark had made it to the rooftop, Ark immediately began studying her surroundings for exits, possible cover and snipers nests. Ark made eye contact with Ken and with that they both ran across the rooftops to their destination. "Ken do you have a visual on any hostiles" Ark asked Ken
@AgentNevada "I'm as ready as i'll ever be" Ark sighed and went to sit down next to Ken in the seats. The ship began to take off and everything was pretty quiet. Ark could hear Carolina and our pilot occasionally talking about our status and our ETA. The ride was actually quite boring other than the butterflies in her stomach that would come and go. After about 2 hourswe had arrived. Carolina said "Okay everyone get into your teams and prepare to jump", that's when that back door slowly began to open and Ken and Ark were the first to jump.
@AgentNevada Ark looked up at Ken when she came out of the locker room in her sage and steel colored armor. "Ya.... let's do this" Ark said half confident and half anxious. Ark knew that Ken could do both of their jobs with ease on this mission but Ark wanted to prove to herself and even Ken that she could handle this. "We're heading to the docking bay now right?"
Ark rolled her eyes, Ken and her competitions. The Director assigned us teams, "Team A will be Agents Nevada and Arkansas, Team B will be Agents Maine and York and finally Team C will be Agents Carolina and North Dakota". And with that we were dismissed, Team A's job will be taking out any alarms as well as the comm towers to further augment our discretion.
We walked down the hallway towards the bridge. Ken and Ark walked into a crowd of familiar faces, we all looked dead inside and that was probably half true. Everyone walked into the room and stood at attention in the presence of the Director. "At ease soldiers" he said with a smirk on his face. All the freelancers surrounded the table containing all the information for the assigned mission. The mission was to steal alien artifacts, well that sounded easy enough, but of course nothing is easy here at project freelancer. The artifacts were in the rebels possession. Ark glanced at Ken to see what she thought about it.
@AgentNevada Ark didn't mean to be as rude as she was, she was still getting over the sparring event and it was taking longer than expected. Ark was just waiting for Ken to get ready and then they were going for breakfast. Then there was an announcement from the Director "Agents: York, Carolina, Maine, Nevada, North Dakota and Arkansas, report to the Bridge". "Well i guess we had better hurry" Ark said worried that she wasn't ready.
@AgentNevada Ark had walked to the door of Ken's quarters, she knocked..... but there was no answer, just the sound of quiet laughter. Ark opened the door and found York and Ken laughing and rolling around on the floor. Ark didn't know what to say, "Am I interrupting something?" Ark said snidely.
@AgentNevada With a jolt Ark woke up, nightmare I guess. She looked at the clock and it was 8:36 am. Ark looked round the room and saw that North was getting ready and Carolina was already gone. With a sigh Ark got up and went to the washroom to brush her teeth and check out her jaw, as well as get dressed in her armor. Ark left before North, she was going to Ken's quarters to what she was doing.
@AgentNevada Ark walked to her quarters with her head hung low, her mind wiring and replaying the past events. Ark was thinking about what she did wrong and how she could have tried to avoid the inevitable. She opened her door to see that her roommates North and Carolina were still sleeping. "huh, lucky" she thought. Ark then lied in her bed and slowly open and closed her mouth to see if she had set her jaw in correctly. A couple minutes passed and Ark was out like a light.
