Ludwig was running with the rest of his men, warning klaxons were going off like crazy. They made to the hanger where the rest of the regiment and embarked on the many valkyries ready to carry them to the surface of the planet below. Ludwig grimaced after he had strapped in, he had heard it was a desert world and he didn't look forward to the sun and annoying sand. He looked around at his platoon command squad and said, "Another soon to be glorious victory for us men!" they all chuckled at this as the valkyrie took off into the atmosphere. The descent was smooth for the most part, this was going to be just as simple as taking candy from... suddenly the valkyrie shook violently, Ludwig took as turbulence and resettled himself. Suddenly a huge "KRACK" sounded followed by what sounded like a monumentous explosion, and then they were falling, howling wind entered as the rear boarding ramp was ripped off, exposing the cabin to the shrieking air around them, and then it all went black... Ludwig woke up, and the first thing he saw was the sky filled with smoke. He tried to pull himself up, but found he was still strapped to his seat. As he undid the straps he looked around, and noticed that he was in the valkyrie... or at least the half he had been in. He walked out, and then turned around to see if anyone else survived Anyone alive?
Kyler scoffed and smiled at the tall mage, "Well pardon me fer arrivin expectin to fight darkspawn. You'll also haf to pardon my disbelieving your claim seeing as the jarl is no longer here to corroborate yer claim" He then gestured to the injured warden, "I think I'll wait for him to get up an see if'n yer story is the truth. So we'll be keep'n an eye on you lot fer a wee bit, if'n ye don't mind." He then casually signaled with his hand for his men to reveal themselves, weapons at the ready. "Surely you understand the... precautions, can't be to careful with all the circles and Templar's gone y'know? " He grinned, one hand on his sword and the other holding his pipe. "So go ahead an finish healing tha lad, we'll wait. Oh! And I would avoid sudden moves if'n I were you."
Kyler Mudsmither was not a patient dwarf. Before he approached the group he had ordered several other members of his retinue to hide themselves, in case they needed the element of surprise later. Upon hearing the cold greeting Kyler stood himself up straight and cleared his throat, "I am Kyler Mudsmither, an agent of the new inquisition and one of the group sent here to retake redcliffe. But, as I look around it would appear you did our job for us." gesturing to the piles of burning corpses. "We were unaware a group of magi were present and for one I'd like to know what exactly your doin here. Secondly I'd like to know why there appears to be a half dead warden behind ye, who ye don't appear to have healed." Kyler would then take out his pipe and casually fill it and light it, "I don't suppose ye could answer me questions could ya?"
So should I wait for sarebras to post before continuing or...?
Oh well he still says it... cause its still technically correct Like not recognizable as a warden?
By repeating the words "go away, go away, go away..." the cloak emits short range blasts of magical energy. Visually this takes the form of short range darkly colored spheres of concussive energy (completely non lethal) however, though Cowl won't admit it, the cloaks power can do much more, he is just to timid to tap into the greater reserves within.
Kyler smoked his pipe, and looked out on the carnage. Most of the dark spawn had been nothing more than rotting corpses when he and the rest of the Inquisition forces arrived. Sure they got to do a little mop up, but Kyler had wanted to really get into the thick of a fight, to feel his sword arm grow tired with the sheer number of dark spawn he would kill. Alas, today he had another job, questioning the survivors. That had been the most surprising part, he and the rest of the Inquisition had expected to have to re-take redcliffe entirely, not pick up a couple of oddities surrounded by corpses. One grey warden, half dead, and a small group of damn mages. It was Kyler's job to find out what they knew, mostly from the mages as he was pretty sure he knew why the warden was there. The mages though? They were clearly not Teventi, and they didn't appear to be circle magi, which meant they were apostates. He didn't trust them, of course he didn't trust any magic being a dwarf, but why were they here? Kyler sighed, tightened his cloak, and trotted off to the tent they were being held in.
Name:Klemend Zdrakov Alias:Cowl Age:19 Personality:Klemend is shy and quiet. He almost never starts a conversation and can be overpowered on social situations rather essily. He speaks softly and raises his voice at virtually no point in time and, in fact, hasn't yelled in his entire life. Despite this Klemend has a strong moral compass and believes in peace and protection for all. He is also very selfless and willing to risk his life to save almost anyone, some often mistake this impulse for fatalism. Appearance:Dark brown skin, has a slight almost frail build (though he do sent look sickly) has thick black hair, but this is rarely seen. His eyes have no pupils, giving him the appearance of being blind, which he is not. His "costume" is very simple when compared to many other heroes. He wears a large, billowing cloak that is a grayish blue color with black vertical lines. Underneath he wears a grey bodysuit that gives the appearance in pattern of a mummy wrapped in grey badages, it covers all but his eyes. Backstory:Cowl was born incredibly poor, and he was orphaned at an early age. Travelling from foster home to foster home it quickly becsme apparent that he had trouble making friends. His quiet nature quickly lead to teasing and, eventually, bullying. One day Klemend ran into alleyway to try and hide from his tormentors. As he heard them approaching his location he began quietly crying and saying to himself, "I want to be someplace else, I want to be someplace ekse..." and that's when the clock draped itself over him, and took him someplace else. As Klemend marveled at what had happened he decided to try it again. After saying the phrase once or twice more and thinking if a specific place, it enveloped him, and he appeared exactly where he had wanted to be. He also learned that the cloak gave him other magical powers, and could even block bullets with the right words. He vowed from then on to help all those in need. Powers:He can use the cloaks magic to teleport himself and others He can use it to make minor magical spell blasts He can change the cloaks composition and abilities He can use the cloak to make himself dull, not invisible but a bit different (ask if you want full clarification) Weaknesses:The cloak is the source of all his powers, if he loses it, he loses his powers. His magic, other than teleportation is limited, and can be countered by other magic or a powerful enough oponent. Equipment Cloak of power:This is cowl's end all, be all item. It is close combat weapon, magical focus and personal companion
Ok, still familiarizing my self with all the lore, I'll wait for inquisition to show up
I know RP is free for and I should just jump in, but I wanna make sure of something. I assume I'm in redcliffe, one of those able bodied drawn into it?
