Even in the awkward silence, Amaya still smiled at her new sempai. But on the inside, she was panicking. What were they waiting for? Did they not like her? She was dressed too weirdly, wasn't she?!

"Um... which one of you likes red more?" She suddenly blurted out of nervousness. The older teens looked at her weirdly. "Uh, I'm asking because Mitsuru-sempai has beautiful red hair and Akihiko-sempai is wearing that cool red vest!" Amaya quickly added, flailing her arms to try and physically save the conversation, "I guess I'm just wondering what you're favorite colors are!!" Mitsuru raised one perfectly trimmed eyebrow at her before shrugging her thin shoulders.

"My favorite color is white." She answered calmly as if nothing was amiss. It calmed Amaya a bit just as two girls walked down the stairs. One was a girl in pink with brown hair lighter than hers and a dark-haired girl with blood red lips. Both girls were incredibly pretty, making the new girl feel even more inadequate. Was this dorm exclusively for beautiful girls or something?

"Well, well, well... what do we have here?" The dark-haired girl asked.

"Hi!" Amaya greeted a little too loudly, quickly covering her mouth in embarrassment, "Uh... I'm Amaya Sorami."

Yukari had immediately told Naomi as much as she had heard from Mitsuru and Akihiko's conversations regarding the new recruits and even went so far as to voice her curiosity on whether it would just be one recruit or more. Once finished with her report, she followed her classy sempai down the stairs to see one of her new dormmates. Yukari was taken aback by the girl's strange attire, but she seemed cheerful enough. Yukari gave her a smile of her own and a little wave.

"Hi, I'm Yukari Takeba." She greeted, wondering how Naomi would react to Amaya. She didn't know her as long as Akihiko or Mitsuru, so she didn't have as negative an opinion as them, but she knew that Naomi could be devious. The look in her eyes were clear, but what she intended to do was still a mystery.

During these introductions, the front door was suddenly opened by a boy with blue hair covering one of his dark eyes. He was about to announce his arrival but saw the large group of his dormmates plus two new members. He closed the door behind him slowly and walked over to the group silently, waiting until he was spoken to speak.
You guys would think the new Legend of Korra would inspire me to write my part, but nothing....
Rick Cooper looked every bit like the accountant Lia expected him to be. Clean-cut, bespectacled and wearing nothing remotely close to colorful. All in all, boring. Honestly, she shouldn't have been judging. Here she was dressed in a dark maroon pantsuit with black, no-nonsense pumps and barely any accessories save for the pearl earrings. She envied some of the women who worked in her company who could gallivant through the office halls in a skirt or frilly blouse, not caring if they were seen as women. Maybe Lia wanted to dress pretty too, but no she had to keep up some kind of masculinity to stay above the rest of her male cohorts. She couldn't let Renzo deal with everything.

Lia shook those selfish thoughts from her mind immediately after Rick began to speak, trying his best to hide his Southern accent. Lia placed a hand on her face to feign interest in what he was saying to cover a smile. It was kind of cute, in a way. However, she soon became very interested in what the accountant had to say about the company's overall bookkeeping, especially when she found out it wasn't as intact as she would have liked. At the end of his explanation, he apologized for giving her such grave news already but she just shook her head.

"No, it's fine. I'd rather we get down to business than have to go through some awkward, introductory chit chat." She replied, "I'm impressed with what you've accomplished so far in the last few hours since you've arrived in Chicago.." Lia walked further inside the barren office, looking around to see if he had decorated the place yet. He had just arrived so probably not.

"I've heard good things about you Mr. Cooper, and the work you've done with our satellite companies," She continued, even though she was bluffing this time around, "And it gives me hope that you will become an excellent member of our staff during your time here. Seeing as you've already discovered a lot in our books, I think it would only be necessary to give you a position that gives you as much access to it as possible. I can't make it official yet without my brother giving his consent, but consider it an pre-promotion. Now then, I suppose I should show you around before going over your duties here at Barriello Inc. Follow me." She walked out of his office and down the hall, knowing he would be following close by.

She began the tour on his floor, which was one of the many accounting areas in their building. Lia introduced Rick to several accounting managers, including the head accountant who profusely apologized for the sloppy bookkeeping when she pointed it out. Then, she took Rick down the floors to tour the other departments, like human resources and advertisement. She even went out of her way to give him the tour of their cafeteria, though she listed off several great restaurants in walking distance of the building.

"So, any questions?" Lia finally asked him as they headed back to the elevators. However, before Rick could answer, one of the elevator doors opened to reveal Renzo Barriello and several members of the Yakuza. Lia wasn't too worried about who saw them though; to any normal person they just looked like Japanese businessmen. Renzo was laughing it up with an older member of the group as they stepped off the elevator when her twin finally noticed her and Rick.

"Hey Lia! I was just telling Mr. Kawashima about our last trip to Las Vegas. He's thinking of stopping by before going back home!" He exclaimed.

"Right," Lia replied, giving the Japanese group a steady smile, "I hope my brother wasn't too much of a hastle, Kawashima-san."

"No, he was an excellent host." The older man replied with a grin of his own, "I look forward to doing business with you Ms. Barriello. Good day." He and the rest of his entourage bowed at the Barriello twins before heading out the front doors and to their awaiting town cars. It wasn't until they were gone when Renzo finally noticed the newcomer.

"You must be the new accountant we got from North Carolina." He announced, his voice dripping with fake hospitality, "What was your name again? Looper? Scooper?"

"It's Rick Cooper, Renzo." Lia corrected.

"Right, right. How's your first day been Ricky?" Renzo asked, feigning innocence in the presence of his sister.
I'm actually just winging it so no worries. I didn't have anything big in mind yet. All I ask is that we don't face rival guild members till we find the orb, thing.
"Well this is a retrieval mission so if someone tries to take the artifact before us, we'll just beat it out of them. Simple enough." Rina stated resolutely as she began walking towards their destination, the tails of her asymmetrical black dress rustling behind her. The ruins were a bit far, but it wouldn't be a hassle for Dragonslayers like themselves. Well... she could clearly say that about herself. In regards to Kiza, she wasn't so sure. Sure, Kiza was a Dragonslayer like her but she had learned that he wasn't raised by dragons like she was. He apparently got his magic from a Lacri... Lacria.... something with an L. She still wasn't sure on how that thing worked...

Either way, Kiza wasn't a traditional Dragonslayer like Rina had learned about from her mother but that didn't mean he was any less of a person. Yeah, he was kinda quiet and didn't try to participate in the daily brawls of their guild, but he was still a good guy. He even went out of his way to teach her stuff about the world, instead of teasing her like half of the guild did.

After twenty minutes, the amount of trees thinned out and a large clearing came into view. In the center of the clearing was a wide, moss-covered stone building. It looked like a temple and had been long abandoned. Standing in front of what looked like the stairs, Rina gave the building a glance over before digging into her satchel. She pulled out a piece of paper that had the mission request on it. "The client wants us to find this orb-thingy that's supposed to be inside here." She went over with Kiza, showing her a picture of a sketch of a spherical-object with writings etched all over it, "Guess we'll have to start looking for an entrance. Let's split up, I'll look on the east side and you take the west. Shout if you find something." And with that, Rina sprinted down the right side of the building, trying to find something that looked remotely like a door.
