Eva's not very good at patience, it seems... she may start causing her own brand of havoc sooner than expected!
Whispers in all directions.
"Eva Saito? The girl who got kidnapped, right? It was on the news a few years ago... I remember! I'm surprised she's here on her own."
I clenched my teeth, trying to keep my anger below the surface. I had to just ignore them, keep my eyes on the chalk board. This was going to happen at the beginning of every semester. It couldn't be helped.
"Come on, Little Sis. Just one of them. I know you want to. No one will suspect a thing if one of your classmates dies of alcohol poisoning or something."
Ezerion was probably right... about all of that. I really, really wanted to shut those brats up! I could do it... right now, in the middle of class, if I wanted to. Make the boy sitting behind her ram his pen into her neck. It would be worth it just to give these jerks something else to talk about.
I exhaled. No, not now. I scrawled "maybe later" on the corner of my notebook before scribbling the message out.
"Later, huh? I'm gonna take your word for it, Little Sis."
Dumb Shinigami! I said maybe! Right now was a really bad time. L was on the lookout for Azrael, and I couldn't afford to draw his attention. But, still... if I could make it look natural... what was the point in having a Death Note if I couldn't use it...?
Making big decisions was way too hard!

I was distracted from my History homework by a man proclaiming himself the best detective in the world.
The man's nameplate proclaimed him Liam L. Jenkins, and the red text floating above his head confirmed that to be his actual name. What wasn't confirmed was his status as the real L.
"Ohh, look at this, Little Sis. This guy is just asking for you to write down his name. Why not give it a try?"
I snorted. "It would be silly for L to appear on TV. After all, Azrael has already killed several people on the air. This guy is probably just some pawn." My gaze flickered downward, returning to the dreadful essay.
"So you're just gonna leave him? Geez, you really are no fun," said the Shinigami.
"Let's see if Azrael kills him. If not, maybe I'll kill him off in a couple of days - Azrael would be blamed for the death, no doubt. But assuming L isn't a complete idiot, this has got to be a trap of some sort. I won't take the bait."
Ezerion snickered. "Maybe I'll write down his name just to screw you over, Little Sis. Serves you right for being so boring."
I rolled my eyes. "Don't be a dummy. If I get caught right away everything will be really boring for you. You know I have plans. Just be a good Shinigami and wait, 'kay?"
With a grunt, the specter said, "Have it your way, but you owe me."
I sighed dramatically, burying my head in my History textbook. What a pain!

Oh? I think L would be more likely to find Eva than Eva would be to find L.

There is a difference in the name of a death note holder and a non death note holder, specifically, you wouldnt see his lifespan and his name would appear more randomly placed than other's names.
That's true, but if I can't see his face, he'd get around that. For example, if he called me up, I wouldn't be able to see his name.
You'd probably have to talk to her before she can identify you as Azrael... or get her in a position where she's at your mercy. o.o
