Poor little Lyra... being the center of attention is gonna give her a complete breakdown!
Sweat rolled down Lyra's cheeks as controversy erupted around her, as a ring of fire surrounded her like a shield. Her eyes widened as she hugged her legs to her chest. Too many... there were too many of them! People were so awful, awful, awful! And the worst of them was that stupid Zinnia girl, the one who claimed to be royalty, who demanded Lyra's name. As if that nonsense was impressive to anyone! Being a lady was all about how one behaved, and threatening a child with a knife was far from becoming for one who hoped to claim that status.

"I don't care if you're a princess!" said Lyra, the panic audible in her voice. "Just go away! I don't want to deal with any of you! I just wanna go back... all of you, get AWAY from me!" She couldn't control herself; an orb of Insanity surrounded her, its magenta hue tinting Lyra's vision. As long as the others stayed back, they would be fine... if they didn't, they would get hurt, but worse, they would completely lose their minds for a while, would see everyone as their greatest enemy, as an imminent threat to their lives. Slowly, Lyra pushed herself to her feet, her arms held out to either side to help her balance as she wobbled back and forth. "Just LEAVE! I'm going home... and I don't care what ANYONE has to say about it!"
Okay, same to you! =)
Zombie my character? We can stop if you want... I haven't really been feeling this much lately, either.
Lyra's eyes widened in shock as the boy she had been talking to suddenly flew into a cold rage, throwing a deadly orb to one end of the table and thereby smashing it into pieces. Fortunately, there were a lot of people around - Lyra's Insanity had far more energy available to it than usual. Within seconds, she had formed a translucent purple barrier around herself - and not a moment to soon. The boy's second attack quickly followed the first, and though it did not harm Lyra directly, it did shatter her chair and send her skidding across the floor, arms wrapped around herself defensively.

Once the world had stopped spinning, Lyra pushed herself upward and gasped in dismay. Her teapot.. it laid on the floor in pieces. How dare he? She'd been using that for so long... she had even in her earlier memories... and, now, it was gone, lying fragmented in a dark puddle. "S-stop!" she screamed, though she knew her pleas were useless. The energy surrounding her brightened. If he wanted to die, then fine!

Yet, before Lyra could even get to her feet, she found a dagger pointed at her chest. It was far, far too close... her Insanity would probably protect her enough to shield her from actually being stabbed, but the impact would still be really painful. And, more to the point, she couldn't deal with all of the onlookers at once... it was so easy to forget that not only she was special, that the others could defend themselves, too...

She allowed her Sorrow to fade, biting her lip as she realized the sign of surrender was proof that she had indeed been the source of the disturbance. "Don't," she said weakly, glancing up at the girl who was threatening her as she tried to push herself backward. Nearby, anoyher boy had grown horns, like a demon. This wasn't fair! "I had to defend myself, he attacked me...!" Why did they all blame her for this? She had been the victim here! Tears formed at the corners of her eyes; never before had she felt so helpless. Her Insanity remained at her disposal, but it wouldn't for long, not without Sorrow to support it. But... were they gonna kill her, even if she didn't fight back? She was way too young to die!!
Plot:

Long ago, the world was dark. Foul creatures roamed the last, feasting on the flesh of the weak creatures who could not thrive within the perpetual night. The heavens had fallen under the rule of Lyravess, goddess of darkness and princess of the Great Kingdom. The Highest, her father, refused to lift a hand against his daughter despite the cruelty of her reign. It fell to the lesser gods to wrest control of the seat of power from the wayward princess, the monster who had become enemy to the entire realm.

The war was long and brutal, but at its end, Lyravess laid defeated, surrounded by the corpses of half the pantheon. Yet the Highest would not allow his daughter to suffer the same fate as the many she had slain. Therefore, Lyravess was sentenced to eternal imprisonment within a cell designed to stifle her abilities. The Luminescent Cage - a prison situated deep below the Everstanding Palace. A mighty god was appointed to be her jailer - to protect the world from her malicious power, but also to protect her from the despair that was certain to engulf her.

OOC:

Hi! I'm looking for someone to make a god to serve as jailer to my Lyravess. =p We can discuss the specifics of the RP via PM. I don't have many rules, but here are a few:

1. The RP does not need to be mature, but if it is mature, both you and your character must be 18+.
2. Please only PM me about the RP if you intend to stick with it and post at least a couple of times a week. If you decide to drop the RP midway through, please let me know.

And... that's all I can come up with for now! Please PM me if you're interested!
Should I be waiting for anyone else before I make my next post?
Yes, I am quite fine with being attacked. =p
Oh my. Silly little Lyra seems to have caused quite the disturbance. I suppose she's lucky to have so many victims; she should be able to use her Insanity to defend herself a bit. =p
Girl? Had this dumb boy really just called her girl? His impudence knew no bounds! He was the absolute worst, worse than a stain in a brand new dress! She could not tolerate such horrific behavior; if she did, who knew how many others would treat her in a similar fashion? It was time for them to weep - everyone nearby! Their darkest thoughts would come to the surface, and there was nothing they could do to prevent it!

Lyra made no motion as she activated Sorrow, and her sway was entirely imperceptible. Only those who knew of her ability had the faintest chance of identifying her as the source of the stray thoughts. But there would be several victims; in a crowded place like this, that couldn't be helped.

Though she could not entirely disguise her scowl, Lyra's tone remained steady. "I am a lady, and I would have you treat me as such," she said, taking a sip of her soda, "And it simply cannot be true that I am expected to serve myself. I must stay here, with my teapot; otherwise, it will be stolen for certain. If Miss Dawson wishes to keep me here, she must attend to my needs, so there have to be servants for me somewhere. I don't care if they're getting paid - they cannot simply forsake their duties!" Lyra's cheeks reddened only a shade as her stomach emitted a dull whine - that muffin had not been enough. All the more reason for her to convince this wayward miscreant to return to his post, now!
